A rich breakfast buffet is served every morning at the Mathedil Gasthaus.
The surrounding area is ideally suited for biking, hiking (such as in the famous Tscheppa Gorge) and swimming (in the Ferlach-Ressnig lido or in Lake Wörth, only 12 miles away).

Review 1：Smell of cigarette smoke in corridor upstairs. Bed linen had also a cigarette smell. It is something which happened for the first time sice I stay there for at last 6 years.
Review 2：Very kind and welcoming owners. Nice, quiet location. Beautiful views on Karawanken. Cleanness. Old-fasioned restaurant hall which for sure remembers the time, the Gasthaus has been established - the authentic climate of 70-ties :-), some nostalgic. Nice place for short stop on the way south or longer stay for holidays.
Review 3：The internet is not their service, you need to give some personal details and than receive a free internet service from somewhere, a little bit complicated. The design of the place is not a modern one, but that was not our focus.

Review 19：A nice and clean hotel, nice room with beautiful view (you can see the mountains on the window), breakfast very good. The Matheidl family, (the hotel's owners) are very friendly and hospitable people. Mr. Matheidl doesn't speak English, but we managed to understand each other because I speak a very little German. They have a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy a cold beer or some snaps.
