Review 1：Francois, our host, went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and was so helpful with planning our daily excursions and making restaurant reservations. We loved having the space to sit out on the large verandah, use the dining room/lounge to play games. The breakfasts were excellent and it was the greatest value for money we found in Provence. Review 8：The hotel is beautifully situated and really feels like a country escape. Francois was exceptionally gracious and helpful in getting us settled and acquainted with the area. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious and comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Really no complaints. However, you do need a car - the hotel is not really within walking distance of any nearby villages.
Review 9：We arrived at Mas de Bacalan on a sunny day and were stunned by the beauty of it. The view from our window was a dream . The rooms were provinciality at its best! Plain and tasteful design which creates the right atmosphere. We had 2 rooms, one for us and one for the children. It was very convenient - we had our privacy, yet we were close enough to our young ones. Though we stayed only 5 days, our host made sure the rooms were always clean, and the bath towels were replaced. Speaking of our host, Fransua, I can not stress enough how welcoming, thoughtful and warm he was. He made everything easier, and we felt that he really wanted us to have our best time in his house. He helped us plan our days, recommended places to eat, things to do with our children and "must see" attractions. As we do not speak French, Fransua's fluent English made communication much more easy. From a parent point of view, I was happy to see Fransua's calm and understanding way with our energetic kids Mas de Bacalan is situated near a quiet village named Mormoiron. 35 min drive from Avignon, 15 min from Carpentras. There is plenty to see in a radius of 30-45 minutes drive to every direction. Our vacation in Mas de Bacalan will be long remembered. We will definitely recommend this place for our friends. We hope to visit again, for a longer period. Thank you very much, fransua!
