Reviews for La Marmotte Hôtels-Chalets de Tradition

Review 1:The jacuzzi was broken

Review 2:Lovely location of the village in the Alps, spectacular scenery and walks. Excellent position of the hotel and range of facilities.

Review 3:The ONLY suggestion would be to provide drink facilities in the bedroom but not critical.

Review 4:An excellent Hotel in a prime location and the staff could not have been more helpful.

Review 5:We had requested rooms near one another but one was in the main hotel and the other in the annexe.

Review 6:Lovely relaxed bar and lounge and great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 7:Service could be quite slow.

Review 8:La Marmotte was in a fabulous location, directly opposite the ski lifts and slopes. Highly recommend getting a room with a view over the slopes. The spa was a glorious end to the day and the bar area was very relaxing.

Review 9:We were somewhat surprised that the pool and sauna facilities were quite often closed(one of the reason of booking this hotel). In our opinion does the pricelevel not meet the quality received. More than € 400,00 per night is a highe price anywhere in the world.

Review 10:Location of hotel is excellent

Review 11:The only issue for our group of 7 was still being given one double not twin room despite having confirmed our request by email and phone.

Review 12:The Marmotte has the best location in Les Gets - directly facing the slopes and a 1 minute walk from the main lifts. It has the ambience of a luxury ski lodge - log fires and masses of comfortable and stylish sofas in the huge lounge, and a homely feel with touches like photos of the owner family and old black and white photos of the village on the walls. The spa and swimming pool provide the perfect place to relax at the end of the day and were never crowded and the massage treatments that several of us had were excellent. There is a choice of 3 good a la carte restaurants which means you really don't have to go anywhere else if you don't want to! We liked the Pivotte in particular. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable.

Review 13:Beds and linens have to be renewed to match a 4 star standart.

Review 14:Excellent location in Les Gets, right in front of the main lifts. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

Review 15:Showers in our family suite were a bit confusing, but worked so not really an issue! Also, it was odd that no toiletries were provided, just soap in an unlabelled dispenser for the sink and in the shower, not great for a 4 star hotel.

Review 16:The location was excellent, right at the bottom of the slopes, in the heart of the village. We ate in one of the hotels three restaurants one evening and the food was fabulous, as were the waiting staff, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The Cosy Bar was just that, very cosy, with sheepskin rugs and cushions, just the thing after a hard day on the slopes. The swimming pool was beautiful, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Also. great boot room for skis and boots.

Review 17:Breakfast for a 4star hotel was below average .. even for a continental offering.

Review 18:The reception staff were very helpful with lift passes etc. Room was really nice and comfortable. We were biking, so location opposite lifts was excellent. Spa facility was perfect for my wife ..... superb pool.

Review 19:Perfect location

Review 20:Friendly and helpful staff. Good storage for mountain bikes. Excellent swimming pool and sauna area.

Review 21:Amazing hotel and will be staying again! Thierry the manager is a super star!

Review 23:Staff friendly and helpful .

Review 24:uncomfortable bed! no tea & coffee facility in rooms

Review 26:Poor wi Fi poor follow up on minor complaints

Review 27:Location

Review 28:Wifi is a bit flakey

Review 29:Fantastic breakfast, lovely bar and excellent location steps from the piste. Sister restaurant La Paika on slopes is stunning

Review 30:Breakasf service must improve. Very simple tables, dirty plates are not removed during the service.

Review 31:Lovely living room. Nice bar service.

Review 32:no parking available main entrance is shabby construction next door

Review 33:friendly service nice dinner excellent lounge area

Review 34:Really old fittings and furniture..especially the bedroom The hotel needs a complete makeover if it is to reflect it's 4 star status

Review 35:Location was super..right next to the Ski Lifts \The Bar and Lounge were delightful

Review 36:Ski connection from one side of Les Gets to the other. Poor sound insulation between rooms

Review 37:Great location near to piste - west facing balcony for evening sun

Review 38:Room, though seemingly meant for two people, was barely sufficient forone. Lacked storing space for skiing clothes, especially wet ones. Roomwas not sufficiently heated, even with extra electric heater installedafter I complained. No space to store skis (though mitigated bypossibility to store them in nearby sport equipment shop). Too expensivefor what was offered.

Review 39:Hotel situated across the road from ski lift., Very much appreciated!Staff very kind and helpful.

Review 40:Need air conditioning in the rooms

Review 41:Very good hotel, and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. The rooms are good although they really need air conditioning - badly! Breakfast good too The spa is very good... love the pool and also the hamman and sauna are large. Note that they don't allow under 16s into these...

Review 42:Nothing this is a very friendly hotel. It is a gay friendly hotel so if you have a problem with that don't go.

Review 43:This is a great location for Skiing. Rooms are comfortable and food is good. I would definitely go here again. Les Gets has good night life if you want to walk out. St Patricks night was a great laugh.

Review 44:Bath over shower not ideal would prefer separate shower Pool was alittle cold

Review 45:Rooms were cosy and charming hotel staff v friendly and helpfulexcellent location would return /definitely recommend .

Review 46:No tea & coffee, bottled water in the room

Review 47:less than a minute from the main chairlift and the ski hire shop they have a deal with. Great at the end of a long day skiing

Review 48:WiFi didn't work in all rooms Hotel lacks a boot room

Review 49:Restaurant Service was excellent Rooms well appointed

Review 50:The staff were excelent in particular the main waiter and reception desk after my wife had a skiing accident

Review 51:nothing

Review 52:everything

Review 53:Weak Wi-fi.

Review 54:Excellent. Very Cozy
