Reviews for L'Etoile Bleue
Review 1:The staff were really kind and helpful. We had arrived late and after the restaurant had closed but on both occasions we were provided with an excellent and very delicious meal. Thanks very much for making us feel so very welcome this was much appreciated after two very long journeys
Review 2:It was great that you had your own front door (motel style) as when you have a dog with you i find this is the ideal set up. The room was great, wifi fast, and i liked that there was a central bar/restaurant area - although i didn't get time to use it. The staff were really friendly and gave me tips about where to walk the dog locally.
Review 3:Family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 3 year old) travelling to the south of france this was a perfect stop over, parking out side our two rooms, dip in the pool to refresh after being in the car all day before a lovely dinner, good night sleep on a comfy and clean bed, and breakfast before hitting the road again - will stay their again in the future
Review 4:Room, Beds & Décor very dated.
Review 5:Great location for our 1st stop on a 3-Day trip to the Algarve - Very easily accessed from the motorway and close to town & restaurants - Basic but very clean - does what it says at the price
Review 6:walls very thin had to go out for food sunday night
Review 7:staff very helpful nice restaurant shame it didnot open weekends but very busy so they open it up saturday night
Review 8:What is there to criticise? The facilities give the prestige of a 3 star hotel for the price of a budget style on the motorway going round the south of Bordeaux. Not disturbed as much as I feared so close to the airport. Maybe a long walk to public transport facilities if you arrive with a rucksack!
Review 9:Perfect location for me because I have children living in Merignac & Montpelier! Staying 6 nights on the way to Montpelier, I was blessed with FANTASTIC weather. When I wasn't with my adolescent kids I was resting by the pool. Filling the tank in Dunkirk, I can get to Bordeaux without needing any more until I got to the local Carrefour. From there to Montpelier was a short hop & on the way home, another great stay. If you fly there, it is close enough to the airport for a cheap taxi. To visit some beautiful buildings, the cathedral, the clock & bell tower, Cours Galien, the whole rive Gauche, Cite du Vin ... public transport is reasonable. Unless you also want to go to the beach, about 40 miles away, no need to rent a car. I drove there with loads of tea bags, flakes & most important of all, CRUNCHIES! Even my older children LOVE them!
Review 10:Room very small, cramped and in urgent need of some updating. Curtainsfalling off windows, plumbing needs to be updated with sink that blockedand took forever to empty. Not very secure
Review 11:Staff helpful and informative Quiet location Close to public transport(trams) Nice but small splash pool Continental breakfast was good
Review 12:? Having to leave!
Review 13:Comfortable bed, room & en-suite; Swimming pool; staff helpful/friendly; well situated for my needs. As a disabled person, it would be difficult to find anything this good for 50% more expensive! It is better than it looks in the photos on the booking page!
Review 14:The rooms needed to be painted to make them look clean. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. There was no air condition in the rooms which was stated on my booking. It was more like a Motel than a Hotel. Don't think I will be back or recommend it to any of my friends travelling there.
Review 15:I liked the reception staff on my arrival who was very helpful and gave us information regarding how to get into Bordeaux and what to see.
Review 16:Hotel has a restaurant attached, but it didn't appear open (on a Saturday night!) In any case, the menu on display only offered big, expensive meals, not the sandwich/snack I wanted. The wi-fi connection was slow and erratic. Only one member of staff appeared to be on on duty. Very small, thin, towels!
Review 17:Price (£30), location (less than 10 mins easy drive from the airport), free parking and wi-fi, recptionist was helpful and spoke good English.
Review 18:Thin walls, and especially in the ground level rooms you can hear everyone on the inner courtyard. Breakfast was slightly limited (croissants, jam, yoghurt), and the restaurant was closed for dinner. Small bathroom.
Review 19:Cheap price for a hotel near to Bordeaux, which is easily accessible by car. Free parking, which is also secure as the hotel gates close at 11PM (customers receive a code to open the gate at any time). The pool area looked very nice, and the staff was quite accommodating.
Review 20:I was almost sure I did reserve a 3 Person room (with two beds), as I had two kids and need a baby coat, but it was only one bed, probably a Booking.com issue.
Review 21:The room was not too big, but it had some nice conditions, like the the hair dryer, air conditioner, secure and free parking and it's close to the motorway and 5 km for Quick, KFC, MacDonalds, etc.
Review 22:What's not to like?
Review 23:Great little restaurant Car boot 3 paces from room Lovely staff Pleasant outside seating for quiet summer evening Perfect stop over hotel

Review 32:Gardens and small pool. Breakfast alfresco.
Review 33:Not very comfortable and smelt strongly of smokers.
Review 34:Cheap motel on way to Spain conveniently situated close to motorway. Breakfast was adequate.
Review 35:Water seeping through the wall leaving a very damp patch on to the floor.

Review 63:Wifi doesn't work properly. Mosquitoes in the room.
Review 64:Very nice place to stay in order to visit Bordeaux. Relaxing ambience. Near to P+R tram (Quatre Chemins), where you can park your car and go to the city centre by tram very cheap.
Review 65:Reminded me of 60s holiday camp.small room even smaller shower room, shower curtain stuck to your back if you moved turned round and hit the tap water stops.although plenty of hot water.think the cleaner forgot the loo.breakfast overpriced no toast.
Review 66:Price for budget hotel.close to motorway.restaurant evening food good.staff helpful and pleasant.
Review 67:Having to go to reception for Wi-Fi access.
Review 68:This is a great location just off the motorway with secure parking. The restaurant is good and is patronised by the locals. Don't be put off by the appearance, the bed is comfortable and the shower good.
Review 69:Although the chalets were small it was clean and very conveniently situated for an overnight stop travelling from southern Spain up through France to the UK. Plenty of secure parking, dog friendly. Excellent restaurant with modestly priced food. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 70:mould on bed head wall, water running down window interiors due to poor ventilation, mouldy shower curtain, inefficient cleaning even found goggles behind the toilet
Review 71:staff friendly and very helpful quiet out of town location with easy access to new tram system
Review 72:Room was too small for 2 people...............single bed pushed in beside double bed and we only needed a double bed.I think the phrase "couldn't swing a cat" etc comes to mind. Hotel ok for young travellers on a budget but I think it is overpriced for what it is. But that´s France!! We stayed as it took dogs but wouldnt stay there again.
Review 73:Parking was convenient to room. Takes dogs. At least the receptionist spoke some english.
Review 74:This is not a hotel but a motel....however the prices are far too high for what it is.... Staff was brief and did not speak English. The room was extremely small and had a bad smell. The bed cover had a hole and the mattress was good for replacement!! also hated the shower curtain sticking to our skin and the maid rolling her kart loudly since 7.30am!!
Review 75:Easy to find by following the signs. Parking is secured after 11.30 pm and conveniently placed next to the rooms.
Review 76:It would be nice if there was some kettle in the room since we wereleaving the hotel before the restaurant opens.
Review 77:The hotel was nice and clean. It was easy to find it thanks to thestreet signs leading to the hotel. A lot of parking places close toeach room. A perfect place for a sleepover on our way form Portugal toPoland. The worker on the hotel reception was really helpful and whatwas even more important he spoke English (it doesn't happen to oftenin France).
