Reviews for Chalet Hotel Régina

Review 1:We had a triple room that was quite small for 3.

Review 2:Great Location, just across from the ski lift. All the staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Great Bar & Restaurant downstairs.

Review 3:the room was quite small for a couple with a toddler (we got a room for 3 ppl).

Review 4:Very cosy small hotel, has great restaurant downstairs, with great staff that make you fell very welcome

Review 5:Not a bad experience, just a constructive comment: for the price charged, one feels that breakfast and parking could have been provided free of charge.

Review 6:The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the convenience of the location in relation to all amenities and the free wi-fi.

Review 7:Very uncomfortable bed, one thin pillow, limited reception hours and due to music festival very noisy (not the hotel's fault but due to no air-con, impossible to keep the windows shut)

Review 8:Excellent location in centre of town, very friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom.

Review 9:The very rude barman James. Who told us we were not welcome in the bar as he was going to have a private party as it was the end of the season. He was both arrogant and rude.

Review 10:Florine the receptionist was delightful and helpful. And offered us an appointment to compensate for the bar man's rudeness.

Review 11:1st pint was a bit flat but the big barman lad soon sorted that out with a tray o shots for the troops. Sorted.

Review 12:Location across from lifts restaurants supermarket etc. nice hotel modern decor busy bar with sport on tv. Rooms clean enough. Never really in it anyway away on hill boarding and getting smashed all day job done .

Review 13:a.Very noisy within the hotel and no staff to deal with any complaints. b.Overcharged - 1) for breakfast which was not ordered and 2) for two nights car parking instead of one c.No interest in dealing with complaints at the time and had to write for a refund. Don't expect any satisfaction in dealing with my complaint. Avoid this hotel at all costs - there are far better ones in town and for less money.

Review 14:The location was good - in the heart of the town with easy access to facilities.

Review 15:the towels were not changed despite being left in the bath, one room had no shower curtain or screen and no place to hang the shower itself turning the bathroom to a wet room. off the 4 nights the restaurant / reception / bar was closed on 2 nights forcing you to go out as the rooms were not places to stay in other than sleep

Review 16:location is great

Review 17:Payment to the hotel has been dis organised and are still trying to Find out what we owe or are owed!

Review 18:Good resort.well positioned hotel.good restaurant attached. Staff pleasant.

Review 19:The receptionist was slightly grumpy on our arrival. We had to pay for parking. And despite breakfast being included in our booking we couldn't have it on the first day as we hadn't ordered it the day before (we hadn't been asked to at check in). We weren't charged for it though and we found a lovely boulangerie for coffee and croissants that was much cheaper.

Review 20:Location was great. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Review 21:Fire alarm went off revealing that no staff are on site overnight which should be reviewed No one had any idea what to do.. A big concern if it had been a real incident

Review 22:Location next to ski shop and 2 mins to the lift

Review 23:Rooms basic but clean. Bathrooms basic and clean

Review 24:Right in the heart of the village. Great location. Bar and communal areas great and good breakfast on offer.

Review 25:Shower was very basic and no shower curtain so place got soaked.

Review 26:Location& hotel bar was good, food on pricey side but was good and nice environment. Surprised how spacious out rooms were. We would return as decent hotel for price in les gets.

Review 27:The rooms are very poor. Nowhere to hang wet ski clothes, little cupboard space, small cramped rooms. Very noisy, thin walls. The bar/restaurant/lounge area was outstanding but the hotel area is run by a different team and would receive a much lower star rating. The ski locker room is never locked and anybody can walk in the hotel side door and take a room key, it felt very insecure and had no safe:

Review 28:Location, bar, restaurant, downstairs of hotel was excellent. Lounge area, service and food was excellent.

Review 29:the room was very poor, thin walls hearing neighbours snoring all night! Either too hot or too cold, tiny bath, poor lighting, not up to level expected for the cost.

Review 30:Location and communal area was good

Review 31:Noise from other rooms was quite incredible. Could hear man next room snoring! Even hear his mobile phone alarm in the morning , not to mention all the conversations. Could hear the hair dryer and the shower. Laughable. The bed was barely big enough for an adult male. The room was tiny although I expect that in france. The bathroom was clean but so out of date. One had to sit to shower, no shower curtain, and no fixing to hold the shower head!! The ski room was not secure. Breakfast ok but had far better buffet options in other hotels, seemed a little mean. In short , the manager should observe how they do things in Austria. Hallways and doors very tired, looked dirty.

Review 32:Superb staff. Great bar area. Excellent location.

Review 33:There wasabi nor problem with wifi which I am sure was temporary but otherwise there was absolutely nothing about which to complain .

Review 34:Alexandra at reception was so friendly, helpful, considerate and charming that it was a pleasure to see her anytime and she certainly is a terrific asset to a very pleasant hotel,

Review 35:The wifi didn't work for our last 2 days which was frustrating. Apparently there was a problem which they were waiting to get fixed.....but when it worked, it was super-fast!

Review 36:This is the best located hotel or chalet we have ever stayed in. It is literally 1 minute from the bottom of Les Chavannes lift. The bar is fantastic and the food excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't fault the hotel.

Review 37:No English TV stations available. I couldn't get wifi in room all week, 3G signal was intermittent but useable on quite a few occasions, better in the street. Small issues only.

Review 38:Location was fantastic, a few hundred yards from the main lifts. Best location I've stayed at so far to ski. Lovely village too, lots of places to eat and good service. Fairly quiet at night. Room cleaning service is good. Manager very friendly and helpful.

Review 39:Our room was very small for a famy room and needed updating. Not great communication from the staff as we were locked out on Sunday night and had to get in through tbe boot room. We had no wifi as it wasnt working.

Review 40:Nice decor in reception. Good location about 100m from ski lift.

Review 41:Lack of unloading access and Parking. If you are arriving by car unloading at busy times is a real problem. The entrance to the Hotel is via a narrow road between buildings which gets quite busy with people at times and, when snowing or when icy, can be difficult to get in and out. Our family room was really a double room with 2 extra beds and lacked storage space for 4 people. It was also on the third floor with no lift. The wifi was flakey at best.

Review 42:The Location is very central and close to shops, restaurants and the main lifts. The Reception staff are friendly and helpful and the Reception area is pleasant. There is a fairly good ski/boot room. Breakfast is served is The George - a connected bar/restaurant. Excellent tea and food but the continental breakfast seemed a little expensive at €11 pp.

Review 43:The management on the hotel side of the business were abrasive. The rooms were tiny with doors which swung into the corridors which caused endless problems and dangerous for other residents passing by!

Review 44:The staff in the bar and restaurant were excellent especially Richard. Location was very good.

Review 45:The wifi was poor. It was free but only worked Intermittently.

Review 46:The location (in the middle of Les Gets village) is excellent. There are ski shops next door and opposite, the main ski lifts are about 2 minutes' walk away, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The chalet has an adjoining bar/restaurant which is great for an apres-ski drink.

Review 47:Very small room and bathroom and breakfast not worth the money

Review 48:Hotel was in village centre with all facilities nearby

Review 49:Location for all the town was spot on

Review 50:Room was very small and needs to be refurbished though bathroom was spacious and smart. No lift.

Review 51:Location and lounge,bar/restaurant very nice.

Review 52:Rooms very basic and very small even for a ski type hotel.

Review 53:Every thing is good

Review 54:Nice location Friendly staff

Review 55:great staff , nice place to eat and cool place

Review 56:Bedrooms

Review 57:Great bar and food

Review 58:No lift, room on the third floor, difficult with cases.

Review 59:Location in the centre of village and near the ski runs.

Review 60:Balcony overlooking front de neige

Review 61:Room size is small and in need of updating

Review 62:Location - near the slopes

Review 63:Breakfast cost keeps going up but selection is limited and isn't really good value for what you get.

Review 64:Location, comfort, room

Review 65:Lady on front desk miserable, doors banging a lot, good hike up to the forth floor

Review 66:Fantastic restaurant and bar and restaurant staff excellent

Review 67:Given one wrong room and told it was an "upgrade" Second room not ready until after 6

Review 68:Family apartment was excellent

Review 69:Nothing to dislike

Review 70:The staff were really helpful, location couldn't be better, facilities were spot on. We will definitely be back

Review 71:New bat / restaurant area

Review 72:Rooms basic but ok- heating hard to regulate, either too hot ot cold

Review 73:Restsurant bar and location- friendly staff

Review 74:Having very noisy neighbours next door, loud music , slamming doors shouting and generally no consideration for people next door!

Review 75:Location is ideal

Review 76:We have nothing to complain about.

Review 77:Everything was fine. Location in Les Gets was great. Everything is at your doorstep.

Review 78:A bit of cleaning under the beds and in less obvious places would have been nice.

Review 79:Location in town and close to the lifts. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 80:friendly staff, nice bar, fantastic location and small, but comfortable rooms

Review 81:poor expensive breakfast, wifi didn't work, staff not very helpful. wasn't like being in a hotel

Review 82:excellent location

Review 83:very helpful staff great location strylish decor breaKfast buffet

Review 84:A very soft double bed No shower

Review 85:The family room arrangement Friendly staff location

Review 86:The owner is a great man and the food is amazing , all in all a first class place to stay !

Review 87:Ski boot room could do with heaters.

Review 88:Very pleasant management and staff. Excellent location for ski lifts. Central to shops, bars etc. The hotel management were a joy and very helpful.

Review 89:Would have preferred a slightly bigger double bed- standard is small when you're used to king size !

Review 90:The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Excellent position in the centre of the village 75 m from main telecabine/ chair lift. Bar and restaurant available and very cosy Would definitely go back

Review 91:New carpet and paintwork is all that's needed. Walls are pretty thin so little is left to the imagination!

Review 92:Genuine value for money with fantastic location 2 mins walk to slopes and good ski/ boot room. Comfy bed and all clean.

Review 93:Room ok. Ear plugs recommended , noise outside. Location excellent. Breakfast expensive, bakery closed by. Staff and wifi excellent. Ground floor with common areaa goog.

Review 94:Excellent location, very helpful recommendations with regard to transfers, special offers linked to friendly and professional ski hire store adjacent to hotel.

Review 95:The rooms are a little to small. The breakfast could be handled better, opens 7:30 but its not in place then. And there could be some eggs for instance.

Review 96:The location is great. The restaurant is very nice with good food and wines.

Review 97:Bedrooms could do with some work and ours very small but still very clean and it was French half term so hotel full

Review 98:Excellent location. Good bar area. James barman really nice even with stroppy women and owner came and introduced himself

Review 99:It is rather costly for a 2 stars hotel. Our room (at the roof floor) was very tiny, with a dwarf-size bed and bathroom. In one week the towels were never changed. Often, the wi-fi was not working. Expensive restaurant compared to the service and food offered.

Review 100:Hotel is very well positioned on the main road village, near the ski-lift. Pleasant reception with a nice bar and common area.

Review 101:Breakfast was expensive for children at 11 Euros and the quality a little variable - we had burnt croissants one morning and none the next! but great choice of pastry and breads which made up for this. Menu was a little grown up for our party with 6 children under 12 yrs old. Baths too small with no real shower alternative in non-refurbished rooms but full sized shower and sauna downstairs for those that needed it.

Review 102:Location was excellent. Ideally located for Lifts and town facilities in the village. Whilst rooms were small they were clean and comfortable. Some of the rooms have been refurbished and were well appointed.

Review 103:Not a major issue but room was a little small but suitable for what we needed, they are functional, and clean well maintained but just a bit dated. Am sure if they are to be refurbished as well as the bar/restaurant and lounge then the Regina Chalet will be even better.

Review 104:100 yards to the main lifts and ski schools. The restaurant/Bar (Le George) was excellent. Food and drink quality was very good. Very friendly staff. Music was good also! Hotel was very accommodating. The lounge area and the bar were well laid out. good mix of locals and residents. Recent refurbishment is very good and suits the area

Review 105:We were on the 4th floor so long haul up the stairs after a day's skiing. Rooms are a bit dated now compared to the lounge/bar. More pillows needed!

Review 106:Staff were always very helpful and friendly, good breakfast and very clean rooms. Location couldn't be much better.

Review 107:Nothing - we liked everything!

Review 108:Fantastic Location everything immediately to hand - great accommodation and friendly helpful staff. Also there is a great ski hire shop just a few steps across from the hotel entrance Cedric the owner could not have been more helpful!

Review 109:No grumbles at all. If pushed it would have been nice to have a mirror in the bedroom and a hairdryer. With 3 ladies in the apartment it would have made grooming easier

Review 110:Location was brilliant for slopes and shops. The apartment was super, clean and nicely furnished

Review 111:+ Rooms are VERY small particularly if sharing. + Breakfast minimal and basic, (I would personally eat out in one of the restaurants)

Review 112:Location is perfect: + 3 minute walk to Chavannes ski lift. and ski pass office. + Next door to Desire Ski Hire + close to a few good bars incl. Zebra 3 bar (beer pong) , Black bear, Irish Bar, bar bowling (table football and mini bolwing alley) + Close to excellent restaurants e.g. Boomerang) + Easy to access ski room + Pleasant large bar area with lots of seating + Good WIFI connection in rooms and in many common areas + Nice small sauna/shower room

Review 113:Workers operating snow blowers at 4 in the morning was a bit of a shock to the system! Agree walls are a little thin if you're unlucky to have a snorer next door!

Review 114:Lovely reception & restaurant/bar areas with a boutique-hotel feel. The staff were very welcoming and let us use the Sauna room to change into our ski gear as we'd arrived very early - this allowed us to make good use of our time and get an afternoon on the slopes before checking into our room. Bedroom was comfortable, clean and (very) warm - not sure if it was one of the refurbished rooms, but it was nice. Breakfast was continental style - a good choice of cold items and warm pastries with tea or coffee. Good selection of wines at the bar... particularly nice Chardonnay!

Review 115:Very pleasant and helpful staff Very comfortable room Excellent wifi connection Lovely lounge areas Great location Had a lovely stay and would happily recommend and stay again.

Review 116:Bedrooms tired and need updating, not the cleanest (hairs in the shower....!), socket hanging off the wall, light bulbs needed replacing. They do have plans to upgrade but don't expect luxury in the meantime.

Review 117:Nice breakfast, staff very professional and welcoming, new bar / restaurant, central location for village, 2 minutes from the pistes

Review 118:If you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor be prepared for the stairs!

Review 119:The renevations were great as was the new restaurant/bar and lounge area by the fire. Great location which allowed you to come straight off the slops and into the lounge/bar in the hotel. The staff were more than accomodating and even provided us with a room with a balcony and a kettle so that we could warm milk for our 10 month old daughter.

Review 120:Sound isolation. We could hear someone snoring somewhere way loud... and you may hear workers removing snow at 2-4am....

Review 121:The room was just renovated and we had the luck to be the first guest. Everything was clean and fresh, nice wooden smell, modern chalet style interior. Right next to the hotel was Carrefour and with the little kitchen, you can prepare something simple so easily.

Review 122:The first impression was terrible. Nowhere to park to even unload and the gentleman on receiption was rude and unhelpful - after 15 hours on the road, we weren't expecting that! The rooms were basic, clean but very small and the other guests could be heard in other rooms due to the old style building construction

Review 123:Food was nice, other guests were very pleasant and the location was 9 out of 10 as just a 100 meter stroll to the slopes.

Review 124:Booking.com debited my credit card automatically on departure whereas I would have preferred other payment options.

Review 125:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the middle of the village, on the main shopping street and a short walk from the ski lifts.

Review 126:A choice for evening meal would have been nice, not completely happyabout where we left our luggage all day on day of departure. Internetconnection very hit and miss.

Review 127:Nice continental breakfast. Comfy beds, great location, good for Genevaairport. Lovely staff. Nice lounge area.

Review 128:We have nothing bad to say!

Review 129:It was super close to the action, right in the middle of the village and very close to the ski lifts and apres ski! It was beautifully cosy-the rooms were wooden chalet style. The resturant served great food and was a proper resturant (rather than a chalet).

Review 130:At our arrival at 10pm the first words from the receptionist were the hotel is closed - apparently we should have called to advise of our late arrival - this wasn't made clear to us so we felt a little unwelcome at our arrival!

Review 131:Location great and food lovely for the price we paid.

Review 132:No complaints, perfect

Review 133:Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming. Food and service was great. Ideal location centre of town. Recommend it to anyone. Should be more than a 2star

Review 134:A bit worn out. Soft furnishings a bit scruffy, old fashioned bath and loo, enamel gone on bath. At half the price it would be fine.

Review 135:Manageress very courteous; plenty of hot water; bed comfortable.

Review 136:The hotel management and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The Regina is two minutes from the main cable car and is in prime location for shops, bars and restaurants. The breakfast and dinner were both very good and the rooms were functional and clean. We were allowed to keep our room til 5pm on our final day so that we could ski and then shower before heading home. Car parking was free and they gave you a 20% discount voucher for the local ski hire shop

Review 137:Food was excellent but set meal each night did not suit all our party! (especially children) Did not understand why we could not pick from the restaurant menu? The room we stayed in had a bath but did not have a shower?

Review 138:Perfect location for access to slopes, ski shops and bars Staff very friendly and helpful
