Reviews for First Hotel Paris Tour Eiffel
Review 1:It's a small hotel, very cozy and clean. The staff was very helpful and we thank once again the possibility of early check-in and breakfast. The location in front of the Metro is ideal to go anywhere. We will never forget the fantastic night view from our bedroom window to the Eiffel Tower! Magnificent!
Review 2:Nothing to fault
Review 3:Polite helpful staff very good English skills good location close to train service quick walk to effiel tower and river siene would defiantly return
Review 4:The food was pretty average, and when in Paris - this is the last thing I would expect!
Review 5:The hotel is quite stylish and the staff spoke immaculate English and were very helpful.
Review 6:The staff was amazing. We got there at 12 and said sorry we are early he said thats fine ur room is ready. Card machine wasent working he said pay later
Review 7:No ammenities, very few choices of food, no tea at all, no complimentary drinks, very small
Review 8:Location is very good...exactly opposite of the metro station....accessible to all tourist spot destinations
Review 9:The efficiency of the staff. Only one person in the reception but very efficient. The location is great with easy access to many things around including UNESCO.
Review 10:They did not have our booking? No suite was reserved for us! They didn't even know we were coming. All suites were taken and we couldn't have the room we booked. The male receptionist on arrival didn't believe me when I said I had booked, even upon showing him the confirmation booking.com sent me. When I looked into the system for him we managed to find the booking. Luckily there were other rooms available other wise we would of had to find another hotel. But it was not what we wanted and it was our 1 year anniversary also.
Review 11:It was right by a metro, also a nice bakery and a few bars and restaurants.
Review 12:There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the staff seemed a touch reluctant on assistance at breakfast.
Review 13:Cleanliness of room, proximity to Metro Station, local shops, restaurants and bars right and the Eiffel Tower/River Seine just round the corner.
Review 14:Size of the room and the bathroom kind of small
Review 15:Great location, restaurants shops and train station in close reach. Room decore is up to date , clean ,comfortable and if you lucky amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. If you planning to come u car parking is about 5 min walk from the hotel.
Review 16:The "lady" of elevator can be annoying, specially if you have a room near to the elevator. But, nevertheless, it does not bother me.
Review 17:Everthing, it was a wonderful experience and i recommend the hotel.
Review 18:We must submited the credit card in check in. I paid by other's credit card so was not available and paid cash. So I paid 2 times. It is negative point.
Review 19:Although we had a suite, the bathroom is minuscule. It must have maximum 4 m2, if that. Also, the cleaning of the rooms are very slow... one day we came back qt 18h and the beds were not done. I was traveling with two kids and had to do the beds myself, change towels and request toilet paper.. a bit disappointing for a 4 stars hotel.
Review 20:Location and staff very friendly
Review 21:Rooms are very small and the bathroom door lock didn't work. Little loud since the window was facing a busy road and a subway station.
Review 22:Convenient location (walk distance to Eiffel Tower and Bon Marché), right in front of a metro(Cambronne station), rather helpful staff, clean rooms and fast wifi. We arrived early and the staff helped us with the early check-in.
Review 23:Lighting in corridor is on sensors to as to the dark feel but when you come out of the elevator it takes a bit getting use to, that is a very minor point I would defiantly stay at this hotel again.
Review 24:Great location within walking distance of tourist attractions and tram stop on door step for further afield travel. Paid extra for a view of Eiffel Tower from the room which was well worth it. Fantastic bakery next door!!! Staff are very helpful and for the very centre of Paris the room is of good size. Highly recommended.
Review 25:Great location 15 mins walking to Tour Eiffel and Invalides, Cambronne metro station is just crossing the street, you hear very little noise because window is well isolated. You can find very near an excellent pastry shop with affordable prices. Very kind personnel. They kept our luggage after check-out.
Review 26:Can't think of one.
Review 27:The staffs were good and helpful especially Katia because we arrived early and they accommodated us. Not only that, they gave us the best room in the hotel with the Eiffel tower seen from the window which is a very relaxing view a night. A Metro station is just across the street. One of the best hotels we stayed in Paris.
Review 28:The rooms aren't completely sound proof, could hear the cleaner hoovering the room next door.
Review 29:Great location, only a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Loved the hotel decor and lack of noise with the windows closed. Blackout curtains were much appreciated when we had a nap during the day after our long journey. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We drove from England and got a parking space right outside the hotel, parking was free all weekend.
Review 30:Breakfast could be better, no warm food. View of room was lacking after expecting better to what was advertised. Breakfast area was small
Review 31:Bathroom was excellent, spacious. Receptionist was very helpful. Location was good and metro across the road.
Review 32:I would prefer the room to be bigger I think the room would be more beatiful if there were more colors The location of the hotel is kind of far away from the shooping center ,eiffl tower....etc
Review 33:The staff were very nice .helpful
Review 34:Don't get fooled by the commercial pictures of the rooms. The rooms are very small in terms of area. Its not even a 2 Star property. We didn't have hot water in the morning as there was a 'major' fault in some system. Such properties are always risky in terms of service level. I booked since the rating said 4 Star which is not true.
Review 35:Lights in hall don't come on until you step out of the elevator. It's o.k. once you get used to it but unexpected in the beginning. Total Blackness awaits you as the elevator door opens.
Review 36:Location, cleanliness, staff, quiet at night, restaurants around corner. Metro right outside door. Buses on next block. Terrific location. Taxis to almost anywhere around 10 Euro.
Review 37:We booked the suite with an Eiffel Tower view and it was amazing! The hotel has a really good position (fair walking distance from tower and some other attractions). The staff was really nice and helpful. It's a great hotel, i would definitely return here!
Review 38:The room was a little dark and with the closet all black it was hard to see our clothes. Bathroom was decorated well but was small and the shower door was half off the track and not fixable while we were there.
Review 39:Loved the quirky feel of the decor. Very cool! the room we were in had three french doors leading to a small balcony with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. Easy access to fabulous little cafes just outside the hotel.
Review 40:We would have liked a kettle in the room but there are lots of cafes very close.
Review 41:Lovely desk and room staff. Comfortable and high quality rooms. Easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, metro and napoleons tomb.
Review 42:This is not a four star hotel as advertised it's a good qualitythree star hotel even says that outside the hotel. So why advertised as4 star I do not know. No restaurant or bar.
Review 43:Clean rooms very friendly staff and very helpful. Plenty of breakfast.Good quality. 10 mins from tower and many other sites.
Review 44:We were expecting to be able to make a cup of tea but there were no facilities for that
Review 45:We really loved the location and the view of the Eiffel tower from our balcony
Review 46:We didn't really luck out and get a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower, that would be our only complaint.
Review 47:Hotel was in a great spot, with the Eiffel tower being a short walk away and the metro literally directly in front of the door. This was one of our most favorite hotels on the trip, probably because of the free wifi haha. There's quite a bit of restaurants in the area and the staff were very helpful in finding a good place to eat.
Review 48:The rooms were not cleaned properly. We had to call down for towels and toilet paper almost everyday. We were mindful each day to ration the towels. We did not have clean drinking glasses or tea cups. We needed to go downstairs to get them ourselves. The safe did not work for a few a days, the TV did not work (we wanted to watch the World Cup) and our sink was slow to drain. The room was never dusted. Our sheets were also never changed. This is ok for a 2 or 3 star hotel in Paris but not for one rated a 4. In the end we did enjoy our stay but it required a good sense of humor and flexibility. Also the spectacular view made almost everything else ok.
Review 49:Helpful and pleasant front desk! June who managed the breakfast kitchen was wonderful. The breakfast is the bargin of Paris. I highly recommend it even if you are not stating in this hotel. Our view of the Eiffle Tower was breathtaking. We had a suite. The rooms were spacious enough for 4 women to move around comfortably.
Review 50:Rooms are very small, bed was uncomfy and street side rooms can be pretty noisy
Review 51:Location, clean friendly and modern hotel
Review 52:Elevator broooke down and we had to take the stairs twice to the 6th floor
Review 53:Design, location. Great view on the Eiffeltower.
Review 54:Did not face any problem in my stay
Review 55:Location is ideal for my travel
Review 56:Wifi was weak & hard to get onto it.
Review 57:Nice hotel & gave us exactly what we requested . Great friendly staff !
Review 58:Loved it all
Review 59:Rooms are spotless Matador were as friendly as you can get Great breakfast Really accommodating Overall great place to stay
Review 60:Great design.. Loved the bowler hats! Very well situated for metro stations. Great service - friendly and efficient.
Review 61:None
Review 62:Closest to the metro station.
Review 63:Very dark rooms decorated in black make the spaces feel smaller.
Review 64:Closeness to restaurants, metro and little supermarkets
Review 65:Location
Review 66:The Wifi wasn't very strong
Review 67:We were lucky to have a view on the Eiffel Tower from our suite!
Review 68:Wifi wasn't great
Review 69:Staff were excellent , view from room 504 fantastic , room small but perfect.
Review 70:Every thing is good
Review 71:very very small rooms
Review 72:clean and nice location
Review 73:Small room
Review 74:View of Eiffel Tower Close to metro Small hotel Good value in Paris Helpful staff
Review 75:Could have had more choice for Breakfast.
Review 76:We were on top floor with view of Eiffel Tower. The room was exceptional. We would stay here again.
Review 77:Nothering . All ok
Review 78:Friendly and helpful staff; good breakfast; good locations near good bars, restaurants, the Eiffel Tower, etc. Flexible of checkout time. Randy Thaman Suva, Fiji
Review 79:Great help and great service! Was a problem with the booking and it hadn't processed properly. They were very helpful and accommodating. Was then booked into a nice room with a view of the Eiffel Tower for only 6 euros extra. Will definitely stay again!
Review 80:The room: extremely dark due to the black wall paper, black heavy drapes and poor/limited lighting. There was no artwork on the walls to break up the blackness of the walls. The photos of the room were extremely deceptive from the angles they were shot. I secured the "suite" with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The "suite" was described as being able to accommodate 4 people. Although you could accommodate 4 people you wouldn't want to if you valued any amount of privacy. The term suite was generous to describe this small hotel room which consisted of a bed that was located 5 feet from a pull out sofa. TV: Any wind coming in from an open window would interfere with the reception Bathroom: Depending on what time you were showering, the water pressure was very low. The bathroom was so small it made it very difficult to change your clothes in which could present a privacy problem if you are sharing the "suite" with others. I do not feel the hotel was worth the money paid for it. I suggest you research your options fully.
Review 81:The staff was amazing and very accommodating. They helped make suggestions for places to eat and visit. They were extremely helpful in helping me locate a place to rent a wheelchair for my elderly mother who has mobility issues. The view of the room was as described and had a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. You can view a beautiful light show on the hour after sunset. The room contained a fridge and coffee maker (unfortunately, the coffee maker and cups were covered in dust). The hotel is located right next to a great bakery and many cafes great for people watching.
Review 82:Metro was right across the street. Even though we couldn't hear it,it was dirty looking as it is an above-ground station. Also smoke alarmwent off twice, once in the middle of the night. It is a non-smokinghotel which I really appreciated. It is too bad other people didn'trespect that.
Review 83:Everything. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I wanted to changerooms to get a better view and they were very helpful with that. Thereis a wonderful patisserie next door or a nice breakfast at the hotel for15 euros. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and remodeled and there isnice storage as well. Even though metro is across the street you do nothear it because the rooms are soundproof. Beds are crisp and clean andvery comfortable. I was there for nine days and had a wonderful stay.
Review 84:The rooms are a bit tight for space.
Review 85:The staff was always very helpful in trying to get the assistant need in order to understand times and places of the tours.
Review 86:Staff is very friendly! The Eiffel Tower view was absolutely amazing! Location is perfect for both living and traveling. Close to most tourism spots. Metro station Cambronne is straight opposite to the hotel entrance what is perfect for people who don't speak French. I would definitely recommend this place!
Review 87:Late check out was confirmed by booking. Com when we i asked to check this was correct the lady on reception said that this is not possible! Was very cross as we didn't fly out until 8 o'clock and checkout was at 12! Although late afternoon they did let us sit in the breakfast room for a hour or so in the afternoon ... And the fact that the hotel took another pre authorisation of money again days before our stay which ment that we had to pay out fir out hotel room in full at the end as agreed which was fine but also another £150had been taken out as I said a few days before and still hasn't been returned into my account! Until a few days after our return home!
Review 88:Good location... Lovely bakers right outside the hotel and a metro for easy access to all other places in Paris right across the road.
Review 89:Only one bed for a double room. We are two female colleagues,at first, we think a double room is good enough for us, however there is only one bed and one quilt for us, we feel uncomfortable.By the way, I am still not clear a thing, when I stayed in the First Hotel, I called a No which belongs to Paris city for 10mins, it costed me Euro10.7, the receptionist told me the telephone fee in Paris is 0.17Euro /min,so pls explain why I had to pay Euro10.7 for 10mins' call?
Review 90:wi-fi
Review 91:I would have liked more light in the bathroom.
Review 92:it was a very nice stay. Cozy, clean, great location, close to everything. More suitable for couples than couples with children.perfect for a Valetine day:).
Review 93:No tea & coffee facilities in room, very limited English channels on tv. Room very small as expected in Paris. Not all bulbs in the lights worked which made it a little difficult to see as decor in the room is extremely dark.
Review 94:Location is ideal for sightseeing, plenty of restaurants & cafés to choose from. Slept exceptionally well considering the central location. View of the Eiffel Tower from room window was amazing.
Review 95:Overall a great hotel to stay in but the staff made it even better! they were very helpful with lots of good advise about places to dine and things to do in Paris. The young girl at the counter was very friendly and gave us loads of good advise on the best places to go in Paris for a night out etc.
Review 96:Unable to change the temperature in the room as its done centrally, hence it was cold in the room at night.
Review 97:Friendly Staff, rooms nicely decorated, clean and nicely presented throughout Hotel.
Review 98:Nothing
Review 99:From the moment we entered the hotel everything was exactly as we had hoped for. The decor was very modern and functional. All of the amenities were of top quality and the service was excellent. We go to Paris on a regular basis and will always be using this hotel as a base going forwards.
Review 100:I would have liked for the hotel to have a bar or at the least coffee machines in the rooms.
Review 101:The location was fantastic and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful regarding assisting us with information and always very courteous. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Review 102:Location was superb just close to Metro station. Amazing view to Effiel Tower from room :) Superb decoraton of the room and good comfort with friendly hotel staf.
Review 103:There was some slight construction happening in the lobby area but I never experienced any noise. The room is on the small side but this is normal in Paris. The door was needed to be oiled as it may alot of noise when closing, but I was more concerned about bothering my neighbors than myself.
Review 104:A small boutique hotel which I love. Front desk staff was always helpful and had great suggestions for food and things to do. The room was very clean and modern. We had a room with a small terrace and a view of the Eiffel Tower. There was an amazing bakery next door, which is both good and bad, since we were there almost every day for the croissants, tarts and macaroons. The hotel is close to 2 Metro stations so it's very easy to get around Paris.
Review 105:The room was on the small side.
Review 106:The bed is so comfortable. Proximity to everything including the several metro stations. Location was safe and quiet yet close to all the tourist attractions. The friendly staff. View of the Eiffel tower. Modern design.
Review 107:I like the location so much. It is near the metro unesco and eviel tower. Also I would like to thanks the reception especially Eugene for his excellent help and nice personality. He is very helpfull and kind. I recommend so much this nice hotel and I will book again with my family.
Review 108:Bed was ok but not that comfy. Should have little better selection for breakfast
Review 109:Excellent staff. Design was great and spacious for suit room. Metro at door steps...15min to waffles tower.had the Eiffel Tower view which was beautiful.
Review 110:Hotel is only 2 years old so it is new and the Location is good which was like 3 meters away from the metro station .. Staff was friendly and the room was very nicely designed and the bathroom is clean and modern which has stand-up shower .. The hotel consider as 3 star hotel but after I tried it I think it a 4 star hotel minimum. I would stay again in this hotel in the future.
Review 111:Staff were efficient but not very friendly. Also, the corridors were a bit dark.
Review 112:Location is unbeatable. We had a great view of Tour Eiffel. Although our room was right across the metro we had no problem with noise. Nice restaurants around.
Review 113:excellent living in Paris! can see the Eiffel Tower through the window. everything is nice n sweet. staffs r friendly. the hotel is quite near the metro station. believe it, good choice,u wont regret.
Review 114:Great location, short walk to the Eiffel tower. Clean rooms with great design, small but functional. Metro right outside but no noise problems. Would definitely recommend.
Review 115:Boutique hotel so breakfast was a bit basic, no restaurant, no space other than your room. This was a 'suite' but the sofa bed is in the same room, not a separate room, and the shower/wc is tiny.
Review 116:Great view of the Eiffel Tower from room 505, plus small balcony. Luxury, designer feel to rooms. Sofa bed in this suite so easily accommodated both kids too.
Review 117:Small room even though it was ment to be a family room, small bathroom. Kind of tacky interior. The staff was a bit cheeky, the room was not ready at check-in, and they suggested we "should just go somewhere and wait". Not the favorite message of a family with small children who all-ready sat in the car for 8 hs. We did not bother to try the breakfast there.
Review 118:Nice view to the Eiffeltower, and not far to walk to it either.
Review 119:The price is so high in comparison with the size and facilities of the rooms. The most annoying thing that really disturbed me is that there were only 2 irons in the whole hotel and when I asked for one the staff told me sorry both if irons are used by other customers of the hotel ,the matter that left me waiting for the iron and be late to my Conference meeting everyday , that is why this will be the last time i booked in First Hotel .
Review 120:The staff were so friendly and helpful . The Location is great . The room service was good.
Review 121:The guy at the reception had his own speed - but in the end, he made it.
Review 122:We where lucky to get a room to the backyard, so it was quiet. Design is modern dark, the bed was extremely good. There is a dirty but cheap garage right across the street, this helped a lot as parking is difficult there
Review 123:The room a little too small - if you had 2 big suitcases the second one was a problem to keep in the room ...
Review 124:Metro entrance / Cambrone - line 6 / was just under my window - so you have all Paris in 15 min. Amazing view from the window - Eifel Tower !! Very very clean and one of the best bathrooms i have ever used in a hotel. Artistic view of the room - all in black and white.
Review 125:Night receptionist not very knowledgeable
Review 126:Fantastic decor The view of the Eiffel tower in suite 505 is amazing.Located by bakery and restaurants Great atmosphere locally right nextto metro..
Review 127:The price of breakfast, no bar to sit and have a drink.
Review 128:Location near to Metro and central to Montparnarsee, friendliness offront desk staff and the young man every morning at breakfast.
Review 129:Recommended taxi (car service) that pulled off typical" nocredit, no change" scam. Expected a recommended service would notplay this game
Review 130:Location and access to Metro, good restaurants nearby
Review 131:Right across from the subway and the area had some nice cafes. Although not large rooms, nicely designed to maximize space and has high end feel Staff were very accomodating.
