Reviews for The White Hart Hotel
Review 1:The room heater was a little difficult to understand, but instructions from the reception staff sorted me out. It would be nice if the room heater stayed on when I am not in the room, as it seemed to switch off whenever the keycard was not in the holder.
Review 2:Real fires, good food, welcoming staff, good location, convenient parking.
Review 3:We have stayed here twice before and since the last time the rooms have been renovated and they are lovely. The breakfast was great and the staff are very helpful with directions and any information you need about the area. Its just a short walk across the bridge into the shopping area.
Review 4:No negative points.
Review 5:Staff are excellent and very friendly. Rooms are newly renovated, charming and comfortable. The hotel bar has an open fire, food is good. Fresh milk is provided in the rooms for tea and coffee. Free WiFi.
Review 6:Loved the breakfast but shame not included in price
Review 7:Visited in December and perfect cosy Christmassy feel to it, staff were really helpful and friendly - loved the room great decor and bigger than I expected for a standard room- lovely big and compfy bed - also great to have mini bottle of milk in fridge for tea instead of the usual individual pots- great location town centre just short walk over the bridge
Review 8:Nothing. Will stay again
Review 9:The restaurant food was lovely. The security in place for guests staying at the hotel in the form of swipe cards for entry into the rooms.
Review 10:Suspect the prices were slightly inflated as it was World Cup final weekend (£225, would have felt happy paying £160ish)
Review 11:Beautiful rooms, clean, oh so clean. Looks like recently renovated. Didn't get time to eat in the restaurant but that and the bar area looked gorgeous, would have loved more time to enjoy it. Great location for shops and restaurants of Kingston (our pre-booked dinner was two minutes away over the bridge), handy for palaces, parks and the river and also for Twickenham which was two stops (14 mins) on the train
Review 12:Excelent room, absolutely freshly refurbished including bathroom. Very comfortable shower setup. No fiddling just push the button. Nice, big flat LED TV, if you need it. Breakfast, if it is included, is substantial very tasteful and it is a la card. Recommend this Hotel 100%. If I will choose to spend some time in Kingstone, I will stay again in White Hart.
Review 13:For 2 days there was no Hollandaise sauce and the coffee pods were not available even though you had the machine in the room
Review 14:The decor is beautiful and so peaceful. Food and service is also amazing. Breakfast was to die for
Review 15:The cuisine is mediocre .
Review 16:The hotel is located near the River Thames and Kingston town, especially the Rose Theatre.. Hampton Court Palace is nearby (3 miles) and the station is 10 minutes walk, for access to Richmond , Kew Gardens and London Waterloo. The rooms are modern and well equipped .
Review 17:Nothing. Would go back every time we visit the UK.
Review 18:We loved the cosy little pub, the incredibly comfortable bed, feather duvets and pillows, the coffee machine in the bedroom, enough hot water in a luxurious shower, the proximity to the town, railway station, a lovely river walk along the Thames, wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
Review 19:Hotel room was very up to date and clean. The beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the coffee maker with cookies each night. Above all the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!
Review 20:Breakfast finished relatively early on Sunday 10.00am Continental cleared very promptly unable to get a juice refil
Review 21:Reception staff friendly & helpful
Review 22:we liked the superior standard of the room and the bathroom, room comfort was excellent good quality duvet and pillows good coffee machine and products including biscuits.. very good breakfast available we intend to stay again asap.
Review 23:From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed and nothing would be too much trouble to assist us if required. Loved the pictures on the walls as we wondered to our room. Room was lovely, and impresses how it easy it was to access the Wi-Fi. Bar/restaurant was warm and inviting and the food was lovely. Access to the hotel was easy coming off the motorway and would definitely book again on a return trip!
Review 24:Lovely comfortable room with both tea and coffee facilities and very comfy beds. Lovely modern shower and bathroom. Great, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Also parking on site.
Review 25:My partner had the pancakes for breakfast and they were rather puny. We were expecting large american style ones but they were only two and they were very small. Feather down in not a preference of mine for a duvet so whilst the bed itself was comfortable I'd have preferred an option to change the cover.
Review 26:All rooms were clean and modern; bed was comfy and I was very impressed with the availability of the Nespresso coffee machine and number of pods in the room. Room was quiet at night. Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and food was really good, so was the atmosphere and decor.
Review 27:Though the room was modern etc , it was quite small for a family room or quadruple room
Review 28:Location was great ! Decor was very nice & rooms modern with good facilities . Also we had a very good meal at the hotel ☺
Review 29:We needed a place to stay that was not far from our son's flat, but we thought we deserved a bit of luxury and this is what we got. (Also we were very lucky to get a room last minute as rugby was on at Twickenham.) Beautiful room, en-suite with an excellent shower, everything you would expect and even a special coffee machine. The car park is a bonus especially as the hotel is convenient for local attractions, shopping in Kingston or hopping on the train to London.
Review 30:Nothing it was really really good
Review 31:All newly refurbished so perfect great location friendly staff and great breakfast would stay here again without hesitation
Review 32:Extra sheet in bed would have been nice as the duvet was a little too hot the evening we stayed.
Review 33:Friendly staff. Lack of milk in bedroom but it arrived within seconds of asking for some. Good breakfast and dinner in evening.
Review 34:The beds were very comfortable and the room was cozy and newly refurbished. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Great walks right on your doorstep.
Review 35:I booked a family room, but the room we had appeared to be a double with the sofa made up for the children's bed which was fine but space was restricted...getting to the children's bed but of a struggle and space tight but a very minor complaint. Had we stayed longer than two nights I may have mentioned?
Review 36:The location is just superb. Only a five minute walk from Hampton Wick station, straight on to the Waterloo line for the London attractions...and after a busy day in the capital, it was just lovely to get back to the quietness of the hotel. Just a short walk too in to Kingston, lots of shops if needed? The staff are very helpful and friendly. Took time to chat to the children and were generally very nice and helpful. We had a lovely walk along the river to Hampton Court. The walk took us about an hour and we did it with a 7 & 4 year old so it can be done and worth it. Benches along the way if stops required? We will be returning...
Review 37:This hotel is ideally situated, rail station nearby to get into London, 5 minutes drive to Hampton court, lots of restaurants by river. Rooms really good, safe, fridge with water and milk, coffee machine, docking station, iron/ironing board, good sized television and free wifi. Bathroom has a really good shower and toiletries, and lovely fluffy towels. Breakfast menu is really good. Secure car park, We would return.
Review 38:Many things were broken when we checked in. For example the TV remote did not work and the safe as well was broken. In fact, even after asking for it to be fixed, it still did not work! Also could do with a few more towels in the bathroom.
Review 39:Location was great as it was in the heart of Hampton wick - literally 5 mins walk across the bridge to Kingston! Clean and modern rooms, well kept and well looked after. Very impressed
Review 40:Nothing.
Review 41:Location, building and facilities we're excellent as were the staff who were all more than happy to help with anything we needed. Bar/Pub was also very nice and could have sat inside/outside there all day.
Review 42:Had just been referb'd and room doors banged loudly, staff were aware of issue and was going to be rectified the following week.
Review 43:Handy location. Easy to get to and parking off road.
Review 44:Pillows are awful
Review 45:Just refurbished with some brilliant touches like a safe, shower room instead of bath with great shower set plus real milk in the minibar for the nespresso coffee!
Review 46:Couldn't seems to get into wifi but didn't ask for help as my 4g was working.
Review 47:Lovely property with the benefit of parking and the station was less than five minutes away with links to central London and Twickenham was minutes away. Good leafy location. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Review 48:Even though the cooked breakfast was ok, the selection at the buffet was very basic. No fresh fruit of the season( different berries for example) only apples and bananas. The wifi did not work that well in our room, my iPad didn't pick up the signal at all, the laptop did.
Review 49:Very nice, modern room. Comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little small but had a great shower. Even though there was a lot of traffic in front of the hotel, the noise was not heard where our room was located. Very nice parking area. Friendly staff. Nice pub and restaurant. The hotel is ideal for visiting Hampton Court (if you fancy a nice walk) very close to all the shops in Kingston and only a few minutes away from the train station for a day trip to London
Review 50:Location of the hotel is brilliant for exploring Kingston. Hotel has a friendly laid back feel. Room was excellent food very good. Even the building staff were friendly.
Review 51:If I was being really picky the room was a bit of a squeeze with the sofa bed out.
Review 52:Beautiful new clean rooms loved the old charm of the original parts too.
Review 53:Nothing of note other than a bit pricey for what it was but this probably includes a premium which reflects the location, a stone's throw from the river
Review 54:Excellent location, perfect for Hampton Court and Kingston Upon Thames, very friendly staff
Review 55:Had problems sending emails- may have been to do with my I phone but staff did not offer to help with problem
Review 56:Very well appointed bedrooms, lovely modern bathroom, wonderful posh coffee maker.
Review 57:The willingness of the staff to smile and be friendly and to be so helpful in every way. Food excellent.Excellent cross section of drinks at the bar. Everything so clean.
Review 58:The breakfast was not to the standard I would have expected given the quality of the rest of the hotel and the price of the room.
Review 59:A very comfortable room and very helpful staff.
Review 60:Current refurbishment of the hotel comes with some noise and inconvenience, but the upside was that we were in a newly refurbished room, which was great Coffee machine in the room doesn't really work - pods drop through without making coffee New aircon in the room was either too hot or too cold at night - difficult to control at a comfortable temperature Bar prices are very high (seems to be a problem across the whole of the UK)
Review 61:Great location and helpful staff. We loved the new decor in the newly refurbished rooms
Review 62:Comfortable, modern room. Well located with lots of restaurants and shops a 2 minute walk away across bridge. Lovely walk along the river to Hampton Court. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Free WiFi. Highly recommended.
Review 63:The only somewhat minor point was a lack of wall sockets for recharging phones, tablets etc, but it was easily managed to be honest.
Review 64:Wonderful welcome from staff, quick to understand we did not know the area and offered map and assistance. We had a room at the back which was quiet, and we loved the air conditioning as we visited London on the hottest days of the year.....so far. We would happily stay again.
Review 65:Nothing I didn't like. We got what we paid for and were expecting.
Review 66:The people, the pub and the location. Despite being on a busy round-about, the rooms were surprisingly quiet even with the window open.
Review 67:Situated on very noisy roundabout. To be fair this only affected the front of the hotel, eg. if sitting outside with a drink on the sultry day we were there. The bedrooms were all at the rear and surprisingly tranquil given the traffic out front. Minor maintenance of two bathroom fittings needed attention.
Review 68:Welcoming staff, acceptable menus, quiet , comfortable, clean, bedroom, easy, secure car-parking.
Review 69:Room was very comfortable, staff were all very friendly and helpful, location of the hotel was perfect, food was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend to others (already have) and will definitely stay there again.
Review 70:Nothing
Review 71:We originally booked for one night but extended our stay to three nights as we enjoyed the hotel and the location so much. Many thanks to all the staff for their wonderful service especially Olivia on the Reception desk, who always went the extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable. The rooms were clean and well presented, the secure parking was brilliant with plenty of spaces always available. The hotel had a lovely ambience and was really well situated to enjoy the riverside restaurants and bars as well as Hampton Court and the train station for visiting central London. Would definitely recommend and stay here again when in the area.
Review 72:Have stayed here several times. The newly refurbished rooms really work well. Excellent location for South West London & quick links to Central London. Free wi-fi throughout.
Review 73:We stopped here as we were going to Hampton Court Palace for a show. This place was about 10 minutes away in the car. The bedroom we had was amazing we were upgraded to a superior suite no problems what so ever.
Review 74:Nothing ! A first for me :) was just right.
Review 75:The staff were friendly and very professional , I do a lot of travelling and these guys were the best so far. Ideal location, I was attending the Paloma faith gig at the palace :) good food , rooms comfortable and clean. Parking is no hassle. This certainly made my overnight stay - stress free and most enjoyable. Very happy and will use the white hart again.
Review 76:fire door by room 108 kept banging when other guests used it, seems to have lost its soft close mechanism.
Review 77:large room, coffee/tea making facilities, bath (not just a shower) late bar for a drink, secure parking.
Review 78:Convenient for our location, friendly staff, lovely extras like the provision of wine glasses and real ground coffee. We were attending a concert at Hampton Court, the staff were very helpful and in organising the taxi for us. The breakfast was lovely.
Review 79:Proximity to Kew Gardens and Hampton Court. Room 301 was recently refurbished to a very high standard. It featured the best shower ever, very comfortable bed and pillows, windows that opened, was very quiet, and had an espresso machine which was a great extra. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, fish and chips were a winner. Breakfast the next morning was also flavourful and generous. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of guest parking on site. Great staff and an overall excellent experience.
Review 80:Although the food was lovely I would have liked to see more choice on the evening menu.
Review 81:Free parking was ideal. The room was comfortable and free WiFi was a bonus.
Review 82:Fuller's have carried out an extensive refit and the hotel is really nice. I understand that the reception' kitchen and restaurant are also due for a make over. Restaurant is very good. The staff are all very helpful and it is good meet Rob again - he has been working at that hotel since I can remember, and still as helpful as ever.
Review 83:Internal doors were very noisy early in the morning. Toilet in ladies loo out of order for 2 days. Hair conditioner shocking.
Review 84:Pleasant hard working staff. Good location. Having a continually staffed reception desk a bonus.
Review 85:The only down side we could say was the lack of storage in the form of drawers for clothing. Not too much of an issue for us as we only stayed 2 nights, but would be a problem for a longer stay
Review 86:All the staff were very friendly, and we had an excellent room refurbished recently and has been done to a high standard, the shower was excellent. We requested a quite room and that is exactly what was provided on the 2nd floor overlooking the car park. The food was excellent (homemade soup superb) served in a nicely laid out restaurant area. If down that way again, we would have no hesitation to stay here again.
Review 87:Good location for both Twickenham and central London. Great price which included full English breakfast. Very comfortable room with own Nespresso coffee machine. Free parking.
Review 88:I stayed here for 3 nights after my grandson was born Just because of location. I was very impressed and would definately stay again. The room (and bed) very comfortable and quiet. The staff very friendly and helpful. I can't comment on the food as I didn't try it. Ideal location for exploring and shopping.
Review 89:Not quite up to the previous year. No porridge for my wife's breakfast. Could have bought some in the following day. Staff a little more under pressure.
Review 90:The location, access to transport and shopping. Parking and general comfort. However, like most English hotels poor reading lights near beds and not complete blackout curtains.
Review 91:Hey it's nothing serious but it would have made it better if the hotel had a lunch / lighter snacks menu as it was basically a bowl of chips or a large meal. I was sent a lunch menu as an attachment on an email but it never appeared when I got there.
Review 92:Staff, food, cleanliness, helpfulness, location
Review 93:Nothing at all, we will be staying here again.
Review 94:The room has recently been refurbished, lovely and clean, also bathroom, best shower we have come across in a long time.
Review 95:Brand new hotel just after repair work, clean an comfortable with friendly staff. Coffee machine in the room and comfy bed was a great plus to stylish leaving room with fire place. Very nice lady at the reception who suggested to keep out bycycles indoors in some storage room. Definitely worth the money we paid for it.
Review 96:Wifi
Review 97:The staff were very helpful the food was the best I have had in a long time the room was very clean and comfy wifi disappointing but that's not a real negative as the positives outweighed them will stay again
Review 98:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food delicious with excellent portion sizes. Sitting outside in the beer garden was very relaxing-watching the world go by. Special thanks to waitress Rebecca. She was organised, helpful, attentive but never intrusive (very important!). I came back refreshed and relaxed. Thank you!
Review 99:One minor complaint, we ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay. The first night was really busy and the service was excellent. The second night was much quieter and the staff seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves at the bar than serving the customers.
Review 100:Location, free safe parking, selection of real ales in the bar, the food.
Review 101:The smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast . Not nice. Salmon a strange colour bagel tasted set and microwaved scrambled egg! Wish I had chosen the full English .
Review 102:The size and quality of the burger for dinner.
Review 103:The room got quite stuffy window pnly opened a little and we couldn't see how to get air con working at that time of night (it did work fine it was just us). Complimentary fridge was a nice idea but only contained one bottle of water a can if juice and some milk not a lot for a double room.
Review 104:Receptionist kika was very helpful and could not have done more. Rooms very nice, bar area good.
Review 105:The friendliness of the staff and quality of the refurbished rooms stood out for us. Nothing too much trouble all staff ensured our satisfaction with our stay.
Review 106:It was a little noisy when people was returning at night.
Review 107:It was exactly what we wanted, location good, staff very nice, room was good comfy and clean.
Review 108:Disappointed with the wifi. Very very slow, in the room and downstairs in the lobby. Could not open or load quite a few of the sites that we wanted to. Had to give up trying both at night and in the morning.
Review 109:Loved the comfy bed and fluffy towels. Also loved having the coffee pod machine. Delicious.
Review 110:Some lack of information e.g. we weren't aware of the specials board in the restaurant, the chill cabinet at breakfast, and the need for a code when exiting the car park. Staff training issue?
Review 111:Friendly staff, general atmosphere in the restaurant/bar, comfortable room, spotlessly clean.
Review 112:Everything. All the staff were friendly and efficient ... nothing was too much trouble. Location is excellent. The deluxe room was beautiful and comfortable. Car parking very good.
Review 113:Can be a little noisy & some rooms in need of update
Review 114:Very good location for all local attractions like Hampton Court as well as close to train station for direct trains to london.
Review 115:The shower needed a bit of a refurb, as the door wouldn't shut properly and the shower tray kept filling up! Also I'm 5ft 4" but I think the height of the shower head, was aimed at people 6ft and above.
Review 116:We stayed in the Anne Boylyn suite, which was very nice. The Staff were helpful in everyway possible and our evening meal in the restaurant was very good. My friend especially enjoyed the smoked cod!
Review 117:Hotel was a bit tired looking mould in bathroom sealant was black wall paper had marks where liquids had been spilt curtains were not hung correctly not connected to rail to in places net curtains were marked. Very noisey. Would hear people in the next room when they went to bathroom hallway door stensio s were all bashed in.
Review 118:nothing
Review 119:Great spot close to Kingston upon Thames, the Thames and Hampton Court. Although on main road the bedrooms were very quiet. Staff very friendly. Breakfast lovely.
Review 120:I like the White Hart having stayed there previously. The staff are always cheery and helpful. The location is good and the Reception area is always cosy and welcoming
Review 121:The internet didn't run 24 hours but seemed to stop working in the evening. To be fair, I was there for only two nights, and didn't ask about it.
Review 122:Central location / easy walking distance to Kingston upon Thames town centre.
Review 123:The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a blanket and bowl for my dog. It is by river for walking the dog. Breakfast was good. There was building work going on but it wasn't a problem.
