Reviews for Villa Zaphira

Review 1:One out of the 3 bikes available unfortunately did not have any gears so was quite hard work to peddle up hills. The other 2 mountain bikes were very good however.

Review 2:We stayed here for 4 nights (myself, my wife and my mother-in-law). The house is pretty and in a quiet residential location so we slept really well. Both rooms were a good size and mine and my wife's bathroom in particular was huge and modern. Annie is a wonderful host (and her cute little dog!) and is most welcoming, she speaks very good English and encourages you to learn some French. She gave us full use of a majority of her home, which was great as we played cards and drank wine most evenings either on the balcony, front garden or in the lounge. The continental breakfast was nice (breakfast is served whichever time you require each morning) and Annie also cooked good scrambled eggs on request . She also helped us greatly with directions and ideas for trips out. The free bikes were good fun to! I would recommend Villa Zaphira to anyone and would stay here again. A big thank you to Annie for making this stay memorable.

Review 3:Rien, moi ça m'a plu.

Review 5:Early in week out of season so the restaurants and pubs were mostly closed 'until thursday', quite a long walk to things if you didn't want to drive.

Review 6:Our hostess who could not have been more welcoming, the location, the rooms, the breakfast, the friendly little dog, the garden, the weather (cold at 17degrees at night so really warm to us Brits) Ideal location for cycling and bikes can be borrowed although i was too short. Would make a lovely base for a cycling holiday, flat and fantastic coastal scenery with lots of cycle routes. Lizards on the pavements

Review 7:Maybe the worst in there was the row the other hosts made by the night and the neighbour was working in his house the three days making mess.

Review 8:The guest house, Villa Zahpira, is a really nice and peacful place very close to Arcachón and other small towns. Perfect for couples. Annie is very kind and friendly host and she makes you feel like at home. The breakfast is on the terrace and is full of french delights. Highly recommendable. The room was quite big and confortable even with a nespresso machine inside! Good point this last one. We stayed 3 nights and we would repeat it again.

Review 9:We were made very welcome Splendid room and Bathroom Great nights sleep Handy for Velodessy route
