Reviews for Le 2

Review 1:I didn't find any free parking - the nearest paid parking is ~100m away, in a multistorey garage outside the town walls.

Review 2:Outstanding location, just across from the cathedral in the center of the walled town. Ultra-modern, minimalist room plus fittings, with a view onto the square. Nice breakfast in a funky downstairs cafe.

Review 3:Difficult to locate owner have to phone and wait for someone to open up

Review 4:Charming location on square iwith church in old town. Nice restaurant on square and good ambience tastfully furnished

Review 5:The only problem we had as the church was opposite and the the bells chimes every hour. But as the hotel owner said by the second night you got use to them.

Review 6:We very much enjoyed our stay at Le 2. We were made to feel very welcome. It is a great place to stay if you like to stay some where with character.

Review 7:Our trip was too short!!! nothing wrong with this village!

Review 8:The town, the people, the food, everything was just fantastic and prices were really good too! We will definitely be back here sometime and hopefully sooner rather than later! I've never felt so welcome in a little sleepy village! (In summer I am sure this town is spectacular, this quiet trip was perfect for us) The hotel itself has a lovely little bar down stairs and it's obviously quite a popular hang out for the locals and everyone is very chatty. Couldn't fault this place!

Review 9:Toilet a little small and TV poor quality. Steps to room may be difficult with large suitcases so travel light.

Review 10:Fabulous hotel with quirky rooms above cafe. Perfect central location. You can park very near walk through the arch turn left and you are there in five mins.

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:Everything from our late arrival greeting to a delicious breakfastin the morning. Caroline was so very friendly and helpful. We'll be back again.

Review 13:Lovely, friendly hotel with large room. We were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly helpful staff, as well, who helped us arrange some things in French.

Review 14:The air condicionado was dropping water on the floor near the door of the room.

Review 15:The location, the room was surprising and very nice and cosy The view to the square is magnificent. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Review 16:The church bells ringing twice on the hour !! But tired enough, so sleeping not too disturbed after a few glasses of rose.boutique, simple

Review 17:Located on pretty square , nice small guesthouse, great French vibe, nicely in centre, charming staff.

Review 18:Small, genuin, silent, with very friendly, but not intrusive staff. Interior design is very tastefully and carefully done, and diffrerent for every of the four rooms. Personally I found the nearby church clock striking every half hour during the day, as a beautiful and pittoresk sound, maybe others who wants to sleep long in the morning would have disliked it? Hotell´s breakfast is served for you in the small square just in front of the hotell, in a time suitable for holidays 9-11 am.

Review 19:only two chairs no access to drinking water, tea or coffee outside 9am-11am, 7pm- 11.30pm. No explanation about what spare key was for, or where to use it! Ordered a meal on evening of a concert, no place reserved to eat it! Owner great, bar girl rude+ dismissive.

Review 20:excellent location, prompt, nice breakfast with friendly chat, locals helpful and friendly. All trips easy to negotiate around town of Vence, and St Paul. shops galleries, restaurants and bars all good. We would revisit Le2, now that we know what spare key is for, and how to handle rather rude 'bar girl'!

Review 21:This place is inside the old town and cars are not allowed so actually finding your way there when you first arrive is extremely difficult. You have to pay for parking in a public car park. The actual location in the old town is beautiful though.

Review 22:We were the only guests and felt free and the owner was very friendly, but the place was closed when we arrived around 6.30 in the evening. The rooms were lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 23:Don't stay on a Friday night if you are obsessed about quiet. They have music and people gather on Friday evening. We were OK with it. Nice sounds of people enjoying themselves. Everything was quiet by 1030 pm.

Review 24:Great location. Got a real feel for the area. Great restaurants close by. Good location to walk from.

Review 25:No complaints

Review 26:Great location. Large room with a view of the courtyard. Nice touch having flickering candles to guide us up the stairs after dark! Sorry we missed the night of music.

Review 27:It was a late check in time, although staff were very accommodating when we arrived early

Review 28:Very clean; delightful staff who were patient with my bad French; stylish and unique hotel in excellent location. Good access to property so no worries about how late we stayed out.

Review 29:The stairs were a little difficult.

Review 30:Our room for three looked out on a courtyard where the neighborhood children played. Very few people Sunday morning when our unmemorable breakfast was served in the same courtyard while the church bells pealed. The bathroom large with special linens.

Review 31:Stairs could be a problem. We were on the third floor up a spiral staircase. However we did get help with bags.

Review 32:Good central location, near square and restaurants. Also parking Le Teirelle very convenient and reasonably priced. Lovely room, beautifully furnished. Great mix of modern and old. Lovely welcome from Caroline. Have no hesitation recommending to friends and would stay again.

Review 33:Hard to be reached by the car since it's right in the old town but with the public parking nearby and the owner's help, we would totally choose that place again!

Review 34:One of the most charming bed&breakfast we have ever been to, right in the heart of St.Paul de Vence! Nicely designed and clean rooms with wifi. Superhelpful staff and lovely French breakfast in the morning, we were absolutely in love with this place!

Review 35:Church clock rang every hour and half our 24 hours per day. Also rang 2 minutes past the hour. Would be good if this was not rung between 10pm - 7am.

Review 36:Location Breakfast Friendly staff Value for money

Review 37:We loved this lovely B&B! Located in an old, renovated house in the center of Vence, this takes you away from the tourists and give you great confort. Lovely restaurant on the square right acros from the B&B! Also the breakfast was nice and fresh made. Best choice in Vence!

Review 38:Beautiful little French town up in the mountain away from the tourists but still close enough to places like Nice, Monaco and beaches etc. Brilliant restaurants and patisseries within the town, spik it for choice and also a good and clothes market. Le 2 was a brilliant place to stay.

Review 39:The centre of Vence is a pedestrian precinct and so the nearest car park was several hundred metres away. Hard work transporting bags on a hot day! This is not the hotel's fault! Breakfast was very average - how can you mess up a croissant?

Review 40:The hotel was right in the middle of Vence, within a stones' throw of the cathedral. Excellent shops and restaurants a few strides away. It is not really a hotel - it is really several rooms above a very average bistro but the owners were charming and friendly.

Review 41:It was not made clear that you could not drive to the property in the booking.com instructions. The car had to be put in a paying public car park, which was initially a problem, as we had a bike on the back of the car. We had to walk to the hotel with bags and bike. Our hosts were very helpful, and locked the bike away safely for us.

Review 42:The welcome was excellent.

Review 43:Size of Shower and TV.

Review 44:Very cool artsy place with personal friendly Owners!!!!

Review 45:Room was fourth floor walk-up.

Review 53:the location. very kleen

Review 54:The B&B was in a gorgeous location. It was decorated very nicely with a great view out the window.

Review 55:Intermittent wifi in bedroom.

Review 56:Very friendly and helpful owner.

Review 57:My experience in Caroline's b&b was very good. The room is confortable. The position is perfect. And she is very sweet!

Review 58:location

Review 59:Steep stairs may be a problem for some people.

Review 60:Location, car park nearby. Comfortable room interesting decor.

Review 61:The owners and the warm welcome. The view and the room

Review 62:Vence is a nice town close to many interesting places, galleries and great countryside.

Review 63:Our room was very nice with a little roof terrace and lovely views. The hotel was in a good location and the owners made us feel very welcome.

Review 64:Delightful experience to stay in the middel of the town. Super sweet host ship catering to our special needs.

Review 65:The eight flights of stairs to get to the room!

Review 66:Right in the heart of mediaeval Vence - quiet with wonderful views from the upper terrace

Review 67:Rooms and all the rest, of this "croquignolette" b&b, Are very personal and followed by the reiddowner by the owner cim ,

Review 68:The Church Bells sounding every half hour and then going off twice,

Review 69:Location was great, fully renovated clean, owners & staff were very friendly

Review 70:- can not use the kitchen -no elevator...

Review 71:-kind staff -great location for visitng Vence and as base Cote Azur cities -decoration

Review 72:That I could not stay any longer!

Review 73:Everything

Review 74:Something special, clean and modern. Great location

Review 75:Wonderful view from the windows

Review 76:Having to leave

Review 77:The quiet square in historic Vence, the proximity to all of the art and beauty of Provence in a quiet location. The very friendly and helpful owners, the good restaurants in the historic quarter. We enjoyed the church bells.

Review 78:It would be a nice addition to offer tea, coffee & bottlewateravailable in the room

Review 79:A very quick response on arrival in the afternoon, as the Bistro isclosed and offered a very welcome cold beer! Very attractive room as thew/site photo shows. A lovely continental breakfast set-up outside

Review 80:i expected not to like the relentless sounding of the church bell, but I found it quite lovely!

Review 81:the generous and charming welcome and support of Caroline and Nicholas during our stay, the beautiful setting in the heart of the ancient town, the proximity to many lovely things especially the Matisse chapel, + many more things!

Review 82:Could have done with storage drawers for clothes and a couple of bedside rugs as the tiled floor was very cold.

Review 83:Owners were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Heating was controllable, as it was a chilly few days. Breakfast was adequate with friendly service. Location in the heart of the walled town and walking distance to restaurants.

Review 84:We felt very unsafe here. There was nobody in the building all evening and night, no reception. There were dodgy looking men and homeless people hanging out in front of the building, in the whole old centre in fact, while the owner's friend had hidden the building key in a very obvious location in front. Might be a french thing, but the shower was directly inside the room, not in a separate bathroom.

Review 85:Good location, in the heart of Vence. Staff was friendly. comfortable room.

Review 86:if you travel with heavy suitecases, don't take the upper levels! be prepaired for the church bells every half hour all through the night !

Review 87:pleasant room, helpfull owners, nice location

Review 88:Nothing, really.

Review 89:Location - right in the centre of the old town. Tastefully decorated and comfortable room with a view of a beautiful square and the back of the cathedral. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 90:The breakfast was not generous. Very small coffee. One crossant per person and not accommodating to those of us with food intolerances and allergies. They only changed our towels once during the whole week and never cleaned the room.

Review 91:The location was wonderful and the square in which it was situated was very picturesque. Staff very friendly.

Review 92:steep,narrow and dark stairs owners hard to contact, very loud church bell rang every 30mins day and night, 3 days lack of sleep, make own room/ wet towel not changed when ask for, unprofessional owners, poor value for money.

Review 93:bed/shower

Review 94:There was a little link but no door between (large) bathroom and bedroom which some people might not like. Hard to find as there is no sign.

Review 95:Room was lovely with personal touches and a view of the beautiful square below. Hotel owner very friendly and helpful. I could practice my French as well.

Review 96:It did not bother me, but it should be noted that it is a noisy area;church bells on the hour and the half (I found quaint, others seemed tobe bothered by a 3:00am bell), etc. I wished the wifi would have workedin room instead of needing to go to first floor to use. Be sure to noteif you arrive and it is "closed" you only need to call theposted number and they will arrive within minutes to check you in.

Review 97:During my month + stay in Italy and France, Le2 was my favoriteroom/bathroom set up. It is stylishly and thoughtfully decorated. The decor feels fresh and relaxing. It has a wonderfulbathroom/shower. Although they are not on site much, the owners werevery helpful in securing reservations for dinner, pointing out locationsand routes and securing a taxi upon departure.

Review 98:diffficult to find (inlcuding GPS); cannot park very close. Room clean on arrival - but did not seem to be cleaned again during our stay (basin etc). Extremely loud music night to after midnight. Bistro not open on any of the 3 nights we stayed.

Review 99:nice staff, stylish room, lovely village

Review 100:The stairs may be challenging for older or more fragile travellers-but welcome to France.

Review 101:Le 2 was beautifully situated inside the city walls of Vence. We were impressed with the wonderful interior of our room, very chic! The room was bright, spacious with a wonderful outlook over the cathedral chair.

Review 102:It is inside the old city walls, facing to the old church-tower and infront of window there is a nice tree. We left a car in a parking housecaa. 200 m from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Don't forget tocall before arrival.

Review 103:Le 2 was a bed and breakfast in the center of the historic cite of Vence. It was a perfect location. Nicolas was an incredible host and very welcoming, the place was adorable, internet was good and decor was indie-chic! Perfect for a couple exploring a new cite.

Review 104:Room layout a little odd with bathroom area directly behind bedhead inopen plan room

Review 105:Great location in very pretty square staff very helpful and friendlyclean and warm

Review 106:I must have missed the warning on the access to the loft room. The steps are very steep as one would expect in an old rennovated buiding. The steps are a bit tough to negotiate for an older group.

Review 107:staff are great. Coziness of the hotel. The view from the hotel loft room is great.

Review 108:Perfeito

Review 109:Everything about this.place was fantastic, its in the most amazing location, would.definately stay here again

Review 110:More information about parking and access would have helped.

Review 111:Very friendly helpful owners/staff Lovely location in the historic part of town.

Review 112:Nothing really. Be warned that the church bells ring nearby.

Review 113:Great location with a very friendly and helpful owner.

Review 114:difficult to find (historical center closed for cars and navigation can't help)

Review 115:Our bed was very basic. Just a mattress on top of a very shaky stand.

Review 116:Cosy atmosphere, location, run by very nice people!

Review 117:Nothing - it was fabulous and great value for money

Review 118:Location; room; the staff; the breakfast!

Review 119:charming, great ambiance, fantastic hosts - tastefull renovation where eclectic fun meets the classic charm

Review 120:property felt only partially open, because it was either not busy or very early season

Review 121:Location and facilities

Review 122:opposite cathedral (beautiful) but bells every hour all night!

Review 123:beautiful building sympathetically restored.

Review 124:The fact I wasn't younger.

Review 125:The staff, the location,
