Reviews for Les Bruyères
Review 1:No real complaints , Breakfast only continental but we never left feeling hungry. No English TV channel( problem due to recent floods but that was some time before we stayed).
Review 2:Host very friendly and helpful. Our room was one of the larger rooms which made the stay more comfortable. Good bus service to resort and Cannes.( suggest a bulk purchase of tickets would be more economical.Supermarket close by.
Review 3:The hotel is a little old fashioned compared to modern hotels, but this ADDS character to your stay as you know you are staying in France. The owner is on hand and is very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The swimming pool is a bonus. Great to cool off after sightseeing all day. The rooms are large and very clean. FREE car parking right outside your room. Will definitely stay here again in the area. I am an ex travel professional. Great value for money.
Review 4:My towels got stolen over night but thats my own fault shouldn't of left them out over night. Opportunistic thief's are everywhere even in south of france.
Review 5:The hotel is ideally situated and the the hotel owner is superb nothing is to much trouble for her.
Review 6:Distance from the town and poor bar facilities. Would have been nice to be able to sit and have a drink with friends. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean
Review 7:Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good
Review 8:No free kitchen facilities such as a simple kettle in the room.
Review 9:Staff were very friendly and our room was spotless. Walking distance to town and beach.
Review 10:More "motel" than "hotel" (it is a 2 storey building surrounded by a carpark just off a main road well away from the sea/town centre). No tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Overpriced, I think, probably because of the pool (which we didn't use but looked small). It didn't feel like 3 stars.
Review 11:clean room, free car park close to room, breakfast with croissants, bread & jam (not included in price)
Review 12:Everything
Review 13:Rather noisy main road ring ear plugs
Review 14:Balcony pool spacious room
Review 15:Staff are very friendly. The swimming pool and the little garden are excellent for relaxation.
Review 16:Good Location
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Warm welcome, delicious continental breakfasts, free parking and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble
Review 19:Not walking distance to harbour area, shopping and restaurants. At least too far with small children or for older persons.
Review 20:Nice staff, nice pool. Clean rooms.
Review 21:We found the walking distance to the supermarket useful but otherwise local things were a bit of a distance away for walking but fine if you have a car.
Review 22:Les Bruyeres suited us for a night as a place we could rest for the night during our bike tour. A fresh pool, simple but spacious room and a place to keep the bikes and check them over were all welcome.
Review 23:First of all, this is a Motel and not a Hotel. Rooms are old andbedspreads are old and funky. We paid about us $160 per night. In theusa, this motel would not fetch $50 per night. Plus, as another reviewermentioned, there is an older guy (who appears to live there) who starescreepily at you while you are coming and going.
Review 24:Nice swimming pool. Free parking.
Review 25:I had a room on the groundfloor and next to the hotel entrance. The only window in the room was actually a patio door whoch opened onto the parking lot. So I had cars parked basically just next to my bed and people passing my window very closely. So you had to keep the shutters closed all the time. In addition the hotel advertises a pool and and a garden, whereas the pool is just a dirty green hole at this time of year and the garden is closed and non existant. There is nowhere close to eat decently, so you absolutely have to have a car, if you stay there. Which I wouldn't again!
Review 26:Reasonable breakfast and the owner tries her best. And it's fairly cheap I suppose.
Review 27:The girl from the reception was really kind and helpfull. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds and it was very comfortable. The woman that works in the front desk made everything to make us feel at home. It was really nice and the price very good.
Review 28:The owner of th hotel walked by and spyed on us through the kitchen window. Hidden cost of the kitchenette was not announced until we had arrived, checked into the room and already went to the nearby grocery store to buy food. Kitchenette use costs 15euro/day, which was 15% of the room rate. Had we known we would be faced with such high hidden costs, we would have chosen a different hotel altogether. Pool is closed in late april, so that was misadvertised.
