Reviews for At Home Appart Hotel
Review 1:Could do with fresh paint in hallways & apartment. Lounge was tight with 4, but didn't spend much time in as busy exploring, so all very good. 1 English movie channel would have been good.
Review 2:Location - perfect, car park - perfect, staff - perfect, Had own kitchenette for breakfast, Supermarket around the corner. Walking distance to main streets and Christmas markets.
Review 3:They were rude to us before we even arrived. Having made a reservation for 4 nights, they wanted enough money for 2 on the credit card to keep the reservation, it's the first time this has happened when booking through this site, the standard is 1 night. When I called to find out exactly how much needs to be on the card (I use a prepaid one and need to transfer the required funds beforehand), I got screamed at by a lady who dared telling me they've cancelled my reservation without even sending an email, which is in total disagreement with booking's regulations. All of this the day before our arrival. Even after the manager rectified this, disappointment lingered. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, one receptionist who didn't even know that instead of me paying the whole amount, they could actually keep the amount they blocked to guarantee the reservation (the 2 nights). This operation seemed like rocket science to all of them. The corridors smelled like the inside of a garbage can that has been sitting in the sun for too long. The apartment, which was meant for 4, was a joke. You couldn't possibly accommodate 4 people, comfortably, with their luggage in what they advertise as such. Everything is dated and in dire need of renovation. They have a dishwasher, but no tablets for it, not even normal soap to rinse cups and glasses, so you have to buy your own! They had made the effort of putting a box of really nice chocolates, which was endearing. When we asked them where the shop was, so we could take some home, they sent us to a completely different place. We found the correct location online and when we spoke to the shop keeper he said the hotel has had a contract with them for quite some time, he wasn't happy that the staff isn't sending customers the right way. All in all- horrible doesn't even begin to describe the level of services offered by this hotel, I truly hope people find other places to stay.
Review 4:The location is good, a short walk away from the Capitole district with restaurants, shops etc.
Review 5:We had a cockroach, big as my six year olds fist. We notified the staff and they came to spray a little where it was seen. Obviously that did nothing to the cockroach. 11hours later we were offered to change rooms...
Review 6:For us the location was really handy. Relative short walk to the city and near childrens school.
Review 7:Wish apart/hotels provided a small amount of dishwashing liquid, salt & pepper etc as it seems a waste to buy normal sized bottles for only a couple of days
Review 8:The staff were super friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen facilities were ideal.
Review 9:Minor glitch: no free socket in the 'living room'
Review 10:Close to Metro B François Verdier. Friendly staff, Clean rooms with a view from the small balcony (9th. floor). Free wireless in room was fast. Good equipped small kitchen. Quiet, (room 901). Tip: double check the number to get into the main door of the hotel. After 21:00 the reception is closed and you need it to get in.
Review 11:Wifi: it only works for two devices per room.
Review 12:It was near the city centre. It wasn't a very new apartment but it was cozy. Views from upper floors are nice.
Review 13:Getting charged to store our bikes.
Review 14:Used this hotel for one night while cycling across France on the canal systems. Great location for the canal and a 10 minute walk takes you into the city centre.
Review 15:Wasn't explained very well we had two apartments joined together causing a bit of confusion when first arriving but it was fine once we realised, also wifi limited to 2 people using at once but not really an issue
Review 16:Very cheap, good location and lovely apartment
Review 17:The breakfast didn't have many options and at the end I paid too much for our breakfast.
Review 18:The comfort of the room and the staff were so nice. They help us with the key the first nigth that we arrive after midnigth and when we had a small problem in the room. Everything was fast and always with a smile.
Review 19:The access is a disaster. I arrived at 9pm and discovered I had to ring a French number (ie. spend money on roaming) to contact a security company where the person spoke not a word of English to give me access to the building via a code and then once in, explain how to get the key to my room. This was a nightmare - it took nearly 30mins to sort this out, not good when trying to hurry to a dinner. There was also only one power point in the room.
Review 20:Clean, decent location
Review 21:Location is great. The room was all we needed and having a kitchen gave us the option of cooking or at least making drinks before going out. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby.
Review 22:The sofa bed in the living room is really uncomfortable.
Review 23:The apartment looks exactly as in the pictures. The location is great and offers safe parking in the garaje.
Review 24:the furnishing and general decor needs refreshment
Review 25:it was quite quiet for the location of the building ...the kitchen well equipped, complimentary tee and coffee...little gestures that matter.
Review 26:Not the best place I have visited for the money but not the worst either. If you're staying for a night or two quite a good value for money. Longer stay may not be too comfortable as the bed wasn't great.
Review 27:No real bed but a sofa bed with many wood slats missing. Bad mattress. Thus a terrible night. Some lightbulbs not working. Could be cleaner.
Review 28:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, direct connection to train station.
Review 29:wifi was restricted so couldn't use all devices beds were not as described, they were two single beds one which slid out from under the other
Review 30:great location friendly staff secure building
Review 31:There was nothing we did not like about this apartment.
Review 32:We stayed for 4 nights at this apartment and as it is very good value for money and was in easy walking distance to the town centre. We would definitely stay again.
Review 33:Announced our arrival between 23:00 and 24:00. That's when we were there. Doors locked. Outside the door a number to call. Called number on my roaming mobile. On hold for at least 10 minutes. Keycode given to get in. Keys in enevlope. Room tiny. Bed no pillows. Thank God we were tired and left early next day.
Review 34:The breakfast is terrible all we could get was a roll and a slice of ham!! Terrible!! At the end of our stay they charged us an extra €50 for nothing when we were checking out for a mistake that they made themselves when checking us in we paid in full but someone else obviously didn't and they charged it to us so they could get the money back!!!! Bearing in mind all we had left in cash was for our taxi to the airport and a bite to eat as you just can't eat their breakfast as there is nothing there to eat but they will still charge you the €9!! Never again will I stay there is much nicer and convenient places to stay in the city!!
Review 35:Everything was going pretty well until the end of our stay.. The staff seemed nice until..
Review 36:The laundry service very bad, because you only have 2 laundry machines. And 1 dryer! Also if you put your coin before you close the door it doesn't work and they stole your coin (5,50 euros) is bad! And the price of the laundry is hi. The wifi is only for 2 devices. if you have 3 you need to disconnect one.... And the connection is also quite bad because is very slow and sometimes it disconnects automatically. The breakfast is not included
Review 37:Very clean The receptionists are very helpful and very kindly! The location is great because you have the downtown at 7 mins It's the perfect place to visit toulouse because you don't need the metro everything is walking and very near. The neighborhood is good is safe and calm. You don't have noises from the other rooms. If you want a hotel with a good price and a confortable room you have to choose at home. (Remember the hotel is only for sleep) and if you save money at the hotel you can spend't in other things.
Review 38:The only complaint , but one that affected my stay was the quality of the pillows. Very cheap and nasty - pure discomfort. Why save money and lose future custom ?
Review 39:Cooker was old and had no markings on temperature gauge etc;
Review 40:Welcoming receptionist had in depth knowledge about about the city because I needed to get too the main train station. Room was comfortable and nice size cooker could have done with having instructions because it took a little while to figure it out.
Review 41:Not easy to get to and not totally convenient if you are passing through on your way South. Once you were in the car park great, but we missed the entrance and ended up locked in the flats. Reception closes on the dot of 8pm, most hotels are a lot later.
Review 42:Location is great, we had a very good view of the river. Lots of local places to get food if you want to cook, or restaurants/bars to eat if you don't. Good base if you are staying a few days. Surprisingly quiet even for City Centre location.
Review 43:No room clean everyday, you have to pay extra clean fee. And the room is very small with a small bed.
Review 44:It's quiet
Review 45:Dated interior facilities Poor standard of facilities - slow draining sink
Review 46:Location with easy access to Toulouse
Review 47:No curtains in the shower.
Review 48:feeling of homeliness
Review 49:I didn't like the carpet in the room.
Review 50:Bed was fine but not super comfy!
Review 51:Location, ease of check in, facilities
Review 52:Excellent location. Staff replied very quickly to an email inquiry about parking and were very helpful with local information.
Review 53:Friendly informative staff. Good location.
Review 54:Most comfortable bed in any hotel
Review 55:room poor and breakfast minimal
Review 56:location is good and people at reception kind
Review 57:Complicated and very slow WIFI system
Review 58:Every thing else
Review 59:just about everything -- uncomfortable sofa bed that fell apart, no a-c, cramped room, complicated parking procedure
Review 60:The staff response and treatment after I explained my complaints
Review 61:Rooms are much smaller than they seem in the pictures.
Review 62:Need more pillows! Shower broken WiFi confusing
Review 63:Location , Parking Staff very helpful
Review 64:A bit small the apartment
Review 65:Kindness of staff
Review 66:no wifi in the room very small. no space at all with the bed in place!
Review 67:location balcony
Review 68:Reliable internet Good area/ location Ease of parking Balcony
Review 69:Week end check in times.
Review 70:Location
Review 71:- Old - No airconditioning in room
Review 72:- Location - parking facilities
Review 73:We liked everything.
Review 74:The underground car park with elevator directly to our floor was very good value. Wifi was very good. Location was within walking distance to all of the main tourist attractions, the main shopping area and many restaurants. The small kitchenette allowed us to cook our meals and there was a supermarket close by. It was also air conditioned which was great during the very warm weather.
Review 75:The apartment was very noisy with the door open. The wifi didn't work effectively. The staff at best were dismissive in attitude and at worst were downright rude.
Review 76:The apartment was well designed but there was no cleaning equipment for the kitchen. I liked being able to cook a meal but it was difficult to clean up without a dish cloth etc.
Review 77:Kitchen equipment was not completely provided. E.g. No kettle or dishwashing liquid provided, yet there was complementary coffee and tea given and olive oil provided.
Review 78:Easy 15-20min walking distance to central Toulouse area's and train station.
Review 79:We frequently use this hotel as it is a short walk to the Halle au Grains hteatre for the ballet. We also use it for exploring the city which is wonderful. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly and full of local information. A few minutes walk from buses and the Métro and 15-20 mins walk to the Capitole. Sufficient in the kitchen for basic self catering should you wish to do so. Keep an eye on Booking.com for good deals and don't be frightened of cancelling and re-booking if a better deal presents itself.
Review 80:The rooms are looking tired and could do with a bit of a make over but I've stayed in a lot worse. Bed not the most comfortable.
Review 81:Good location for visiting the city. Hotel parking is safe & secure.
Review 82:The breakfast was poor and not good value. Five kinds of bread, boiled rice and not much else. The lady serving in the breafastroom appeared to find customers a bit of an inconvenience
Review 83:The room was OK but a little cramped. The staff very polite.
Review 84:i asked for a double bed room as I was supposed to share with someone. Fortunatelly this person did not come. the double bed system is too old fashion and the room too narrow to accomodate this system;
Review 85:the staff where nice and efficient even at Xmas time
Review 86:the air conditioning buzzed all night keeping us awake and we could not control the temperature as it was cold outside opening the windows with the baby was not an option.I spent the next 10 days with tonsillitis. we had no sleep over the two days we spent there.we will not be going using this hotel chain again.
Review 87:This hotel is typical example of fact, that what you see on photos of rooms while booking is absolutely different out of reality. Old sofa, only white walls with wallcovering and no paintings on the wall, simple furniture etc., so very bad impression on me... We received 3 appartments, and 2 of these were with smell of smoke regardless the fact we requested non-smoking rooms. Attention, TV is in the kitchen area, so if you want to watch TV from your double bed, it is not possible, because TV is not in the bedroom... (of course this applies for the appartment)
Review 88:The door closes at 2100 and you have to carry around the code from the entrance door.
Review 89:the place was great and cosy. You have a possibility to cook if needed.
Review 90:- very noisy - I spent four days there and no WLAN was available the whole time - unpleasant and drafty airing which can not be switched off
Review 91:Very friendly, excerted and helpful staff
Review 92:Our first room was dirty and very far from what we expected from the pictures on the website.
Review 93:When we asked for a different room, the lovely receptionist lady changed it for a better one straight away.
Review 94:there was something wrong with conditioners - sometimes from the ventilation holes spread not good smell - old dust or something like that.
Review 95:Friendly and competent staff, convenience rooms, fully equipped kitchen, good location - near old town and cathedral. Very good bad, towels were absolutely bright and clear, good bedroom
Review 96:Bed pillows weren't the best I've ever tried in a hotel and they weren't perfectly clean.
Review 97:I was attending a conference and the hotel was in a perfect position to easily reach the conference location without using public or private transportation. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel even though it was for just one night.
Review 98:The location was noisy which was made worse by sleeping with the window open due to lack of A/C. Traffic noise was almost constant and there seemed to be lots of people making noise outside at night. Would have liked a bathroom fan too.
Review 99:mini kitchen fairly well equipped for light meals and though very small, the pull out sofa made two twin beds which was better for our older kids. Bathroom was a good size
Review 100:The breakfast was rather expensive for what was on offer.
Review 101:It was a bonus to be able to make our own tea and coffee, and to have the space to eat a snack.
Review 102:The beds were too soft. It wasn't a bed, it was actually a sofa divided into 2 parts. You have to push one bed under the other, or you have no room. We couldn't find a direct way from the airport to the hotel. With the airport bus, you can go to Jean Jaures and then you can take bus number 16 or 22 to the hotel.
Review 103:The equipment in the room was enough, we ate everyday in our room including the breakfast. The hotel is close to the supermarkets so you can buy fresh bread, milk etc. It was quiet and the balcony was great.
Review 104:Tiny rooms, no style or design (the rooms look like a housing project),hideous pink wallpaper in halls, paper thin walls
Review 105:Friendly and helpful staff, air conditioning was a god send in theheat wave, free wifi, comfortable beds, nice to have a kitchenettein the room
Review 106:Not having twin bed bedrooms. Squashed rooms with overly large bathrooms. We had travelled a lot and needed comfort. We chose the wrong hotel for our needs
Review 107:The Staff (very efficient) Wi-fi
Review 108:Be aware that the studios are really small. The bed folds down from the wall and 'fills' the room at night.
Review 109:The rooms were spotless. The appartments perfect for 3 persons. Cramped for 4. The staff are very friendly and helplful. The hotel is in a very pleasant quarter and less than 15 mins from the town centre.
Review 110:Booked appartment for 4 persons but the space is very small when you pull out the sofa bed. The 4th bed under the sofa is not very clean. Detail cleaning is needed.
Review 111:Helpful staff. Speak english very well. Good location, close to city center. Secure dedicated parking area underground.
Review 112:The personnel at the reception was helpful but confused most of the time. They mixed up with my receipt and the checking of the room at my departure. And they do this every time (this was my third time in At Home appart hotel).
Review 113:Rooms are very convenient for one person (might be too small for two). Kitchen is well-equipped (except for spices, salt or sharp fruit knife).
Review 114:The reception closes between 12:00 and 15:00. We were leaving to theairport at 14:00, therefore we couldn't leave the luggage in thereception when we checked out during the morning.
Review 115:Price/quality ratio
Review 116:terrible wi fi connection not good enough - people expect & deserve much more
Review 117:locatio price
Review 118:Good location. Clean, big rooms, equipped kitchen. Friendly staff.
Review 119:Friendly and Helpful staff
Review 120:It's far to the city centre
Review 121:The matress is very good
Review 122:Staff,as always, were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful; a great asset to the hotel. Good cooking facilities. Secure parking!
Review 123:Broken shower fitting, no washing up liquid in kitchen
Review 124:Very helpful reception staff
Review 125:the location, the staff
Review 126:Location to train station
Review 127:they did not accept my spanish visa (but offer a breakfast as compensation)
Review 128:comfortable in the center of city
Review 129:Exit from underground parking was confusing. Noisy from nearby karaoke bar, and nearby main roads.
Review 130:Location and way we were dealt with on arrival.
