Review 2：Reasonable prices charged: excellent quality breakfast, easy access to the town. Would have given it full marks for location; rather shrouded amongst huge Plane trees, but not much of a problem. My room, 317, had pleasant views towards the town and across the river.

Review 3：Pleasant location overlooking river and park in an elegant spa town; basic but comfortable room (with balcony) and friendly staff. Slightly tired décor; wifi was free, but a special login was required for each individual user, which was rather more fiddly than I'm used to these days. We were only using the hotel for an overnight during a long journey, and did not test the restaurant or other facilities.

Review 4：toilet filthy, towels very thin, bathroom tired. Bedroom needs a plug by a mirror. We had pre booked but check in took far too long.

Review 6：Beware of the breakfast staff. Asked four times for our room number by four different people despite handing in the official breakfast token! Moved bodily as sat in the wrong place! Poor and meagre choice of food.

Review 14：Nothing special but perfectly satisfactory. Nothing to dislike about it and it is close to 'Old' Dax with a park and a river adjacent.

Review 19：We booked last minute and didn't have much choice. Dax thermal full of elderly French there for the cures which is fair enough as it's a spa town. But it's not a great choice for general holidaymakers because of the location. It's in a row of other similar (unattractive) hotels and a casino. Dax itself is very run down and largely unattractive. Couple of good cafes/restaurants. Stay in Hosegor/ Capbreton if you can.

Review 20：The rooms were clean, shower was decent and beds reasonably comfortable. Dax was OK as a base for exploring the area and visiting lovely beaches in Hosegor. I would stay closer to the coast if going again. Locals we encountered around the town were by and large very nice and helpful and encouraging of our attempts at French.
