Reviews for Les Prairies de la Mer
Review 1:Bungalows were very tightly packed, more than expected. Although clever landscaping and quiet neighbours it wasn't an issue.
Review 2:We were very surprised by the cleanliness of the site. Comfortable accommodation and imaginative and clever planting of trees shrubs etc.
Review 3:The Wifi should be included in prices for all bungalows.
Review 4:The camping itself is really beautifull and clean. Our location about 50m from the sea was awesome! The Canopy bar for parties is a great place to have fun.
Review 5:Beach bungalows are glorified mobile homes, with timber cladding and a straw roof. Bedrooms very small. Kitchens not very well equipped, could do with a proper oven not microwave.
Review 6:Location, close to the beach. Golf of St Tropez just beautiful. Port Grimaud lovely. Great choice of bars and restaurants. Great water sports. Clean beaches
Review 7:Wish there had been info guide for washing machine programs in Borneo 4507.
Review 8:Beach location. Sun restr. Pet friendly. Bike hire & tennis all wonderful! Also, prompt and efficient maintenance men when we reported a water leak behind Borneo 4507.
Review 9:Dogs were not allowed on the beach but on surrounding beaches.no swimming pool. No towel change all week.average entertainment.
Review 10:Theme throughout resort. Excellent layout of chalets and great design inside and outside. Beach near. Many eating options. Yoga and fitness on beach.
Review 11:I didn't like the fact that there wasn't an option to park a second car on site as we had paid for a family of 4 adults 2children and travelled with two cars, this wasn't advised on their website and was told we would have to pay an extra 10euro to park in the overflow car park.
Review 12:lovely looking place but the rooms and the place inside the huts are very small for 5 persons.
Review 13:The beach was too small and dirty, trash and garbage can be found on beach and even in the sea. Sea is also very dirty and I do not recommend to go there in summer season. Beach is overcrowded and too small for that kind of resort. We had an ants problem in our bungalow, during the sleep my wife had ants bites all over her body. They were literally everywhere in the bungalow, bathroom, beds, kitchen. When we came to reception young lady there didn't know what we are talking about (ants) so she goggled it. Staff was helpful but sometimes too slow. And they took deposit of 200 Euros, there was no info about that on Booking. I do not recommend this resort, maybe off summer season. Not enough quality for that money and the ratings on Booking are overrated. Definitely not so high as portrayed.
Review 14:We liked location of resort, close to St. Tropez, and nature around it.
Review 15:Very high price with no food included, no cleaning services, very crowded beach with not any availability of an ombrella and sunbeds on the beach, cars all over the place, problems with internet connectivity
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:grumpy/rude English lady in the picnic bar. when asked for a kebab she said what do you think this is, a kebab shop, even though kebabs were advertised both on the menu, and on the window. Each bungalow/caravan should have access to a barbecue. On arrival we enquired about a barbecue and were told none were available, we left our name and number but were never called. We felt we couldn't utilise the excellent outside space, and the microwave/oven provided was not up to much.
Review 18:good location, friendly staff, good entertainment.
Review 19:The drinks and shops in the site are very expensive. e.g a beer 7 euros. make more money if they were cheaper
Review 20:The location on the beach was stunning the food was good
Review 21:It was an absolute pleasure to stay, my only concern was the inaccuracy of check out information when I asked staff. I got various answers and was a bit nervous that we could possibly miss our bus. Some consistency would be great, however we didn't miss the bus and absolutely would recommend this as an all round superb holiday destination- especially with children.
Review 22:we expected a bigger chalet. bali is advertised for 4-6 people: 3 adults and 2 small children - quite squashed!
Review 23:very good location, good amenities inside the camp, beach can get very crowded in aug, is much bigger than expected. We had a very relaxing time and will probably go back one day, but in a different chalet .
Review 24:no pool, no sun beds available on the beach and no shade.Kids clubs and activities were at least a 15 minute walk away from the main area / beach. When you got into the middle of the site, some of the accomodation looked like it had been imported from Skegness ! Very noisy in the evening.
Review 25:Location was good, the accomodation we stayed in was one of the better cabins near the beach. Staff were very good and helpful.
Review 26:They could have had bed linen and daily cleaning for almost 200 euros a day. I understand I have to pay higher for the location on Côte d'Azur, but come on, you have to care about client comfort and these are basic needs
Review 27:Beautiful place, very nice camping site with everything you need.
Review 28:We arrived and there was a power cut, no electricity for 24 hours which meant a hot and uncomfortable start, also limited food as restaurants and shops closed due to as shortage of power. No provision made which was frustrating and made for a very poor first impression. Also worth noting that shops are a little on the pricey side. Also beach was very busy ... Good way to get to know others as you are literally on top of one another, also we did have items and stolen from beach so watch out!
Review 29:Good facilities and great to be right close to the beach. Site is kept clean and is stylishly laid laid out. Would recommend to others.
Review 30:Mattresses were very thin and wooden slats weak particularly for a heavy person, grand for kids. Dusty deck beds presumably after heavy rain. Few items requiring maintenance but serious enough to upset the stay. Other than that absolutely everything was perfect thank you & well done!
Review 31:So safe. Assistance whenever required. Everywhere was Spotless! Yoga was fantastic. Food catered for all ages and tastes. Such a tranquil holiday . One week stay was not enough but for us a trial run for next year!
Review 32:Electricity outages, boiler cold/hot, beach very crowded and not cleaned in the night, restaurant crowded, needed to reserve.
Review 33:Right at the beach if you are lucky, nice restaurants, airco, own parking, port Gramaud next door
Review 34:The on site shop was pricey so take your own provisions there are good supermarkets within a couple of Kms. The Long Bar hosts live acts each night but sometimes the Bass notes were way too loud for the location.
Review 35:Proximity to the beach and Port Grimed town. The cabin was located in a landscaped garden and was well equipped for a self catering holiday.
Review 36:Completely overloaded with people. Beach crowded.frequent power outages took half a day or more to restore electricity
Review 37:Good live music. Scenic canopy bar.
Review 38:House for 6 was actualy house for four. Get a cottage size larger. The furniture old and some things broken. Too expencive and not a 5 * at all.
Review 39:Free working wifi cottage styles nice camp clean and safe nice neiberhood
Review 40:Only reason we wouldn't return is the lack of swimming pool our 2 year old normally loves swimming we take her to lessons every week but she wouldn't swim or even go into the sea. Also we found pieces of broken glass on 2 occasions on the beach which was a bit of a worry.
Review 41:Fantastic facilities overall for our children, excellent play area the mini fairground they loved. Great restaurants staff friendly and helpful.
Review 42:Air-con did not cool the bedrooms even though the space is very small. Would have been helpful to have at least one dishwasher sachet or some dishwashing liquid. We were only staying one night so annoying to have to buy this. Also no bags in the bins (luckily we brought some with us). Check in was a bit of a process too.
Review 43:Having a supermarket, beach, cafe and bar within easy walking from our cabin was great. Nice verandah to sit and relax.
Review 46:The only thing we were a little disappointed on was the beach as the sand had loads of bits of wood and sticks in which hurts your feet.
Review 47:The location and accommodation was lovely. Great atmosphere and good service.
Review 48:Niggles...Tuna was bone dry at the restaurant. Not much of a welcome smile at reception at Prairies de La Mer. People have travelled far - small things like this go a long way!
Review 49:Tasteful site...very relaxed atmosphere. Choices of eateries / bars. Fantastic for parents with kids - not many places both enjoy equally! Great location to reach Port Grimaud / St Tropez / St Maxime. Would go back.
Review 50:The wifi in public areas is hit or miss. It cuts out constantly, but that is because there are so many people. No complaints though.
Review 51:Went with two other girls for a getaway to the beach. This resort campground style place is it on the beach! They have multiple restaurants and bars to choose from. There is also a spa and fitness center. It's an easy five minute stroll to Port Grimaud and port Grimaud has a boat excursion that can take you to saint Tropez for the day. I've traveled all over the world and this is one of my favorite places! I want to come back here for my honeymoon!
Review 52:The resort was beautiful and all facilities were brilliant. The accommodation was extremely basic for the cost. On our first night the boiler did not work and the shower tray over flowed. However staff were prompt to fix it. 3 days out of 5 we were subject to a horrendous smell coming from the drain in the shower, we couldn't enter the bathroom and had to use my parents lodge. numerous maintenance staff tried to resolve the problem. In the end they put it down to the temperature and water levels in the area????? We had one smell day for our holiday. The concierge saffron were very helpful.
Review 53:Our accommodation provided us with everything that was promised including reliable wifi and deserves its continued high traveller satisfaction. Thank you
Review 54:The ony thing was the matressess too thin and soft please invest in something better thank you?!
Review 55:A friendly and safe result ideal for families with young or older children. A fab beach in a very pretty resort. A spa for grown ups and free kids club if required. A relaxing place for all.
Review 56:Seemed expensive (over £1000 for six nights in August) or am I out of touch?
Review 57:Entertainment every night Near beach Very clean accommodation and site Reasonably priced take away food on site Short walk to Port Grimaud
Review 58:there was something wrong with our gas water heater,we've asked them 3 times to check the heater but no result until the next day, nearly 24 hours.... otherwise the sea is not very clean
Review 59:the place is nice, facility is complete, for a family with kids is pefect.
Review 60:Reception staff act like u have to know the whole place from the first minute. Unpatient and if u dont get the things the first time they explain... they will look at u like: "damn, another low IQ...". Make sure what is included in the price, you will have to buy many more things than what u expect for a "full equipped bungalow". Unless u r longer than a week, ur towels won't be changed unless u supplicate. They "recommend" u to use thelaundry.
Review 61:Genuine surrounding and atmosphere. The exclusive Farés (cote jardin prestige, mer, plage...) are quite unique, the rest just like any other place.
Review 62:Nothing. It is what it is, a holiday park, but a bit more up market.
Review 63:Nice style accomdation. Lots to do for children. Can walk into port grimaud and take a boat to saint tropez. You could easily pass a week without ever feel the need to leave the site. English t.v stations in chalet, air con, wifi home from home :)
Review 64:had to pay a lot for the gym access
Review 65:cabins are nice and clean. Wifi is good if you need to do some work while you are there. You really need aircon for a good nights sleep.V close proximity to the beach. Some nice places to eat out as a family. Easy walk into P Grimaud. Lots of activities for the kids (horse riding/water park) - Hobbie cat sailing /parasailing on the beach.
Review 66:Mattress could have been a little softer or thicker but that is just my preference! Not everyone likes a soft bed!
Review 67:Loved the wooden lodge, all it was missing was some washing up liquid and a drying up towel, if that is all I have to mention it can't be bad! We had a fab time, thanks!
Review 68:Fantastic location and great staff, the landscaping is beautiful.
Review 69:No pool
Review 70:Great location Very enjoyable
Review 71:Lodge seemed damp.
Review 72:Very clean site and friendly staff.
Review 73:Poor staff attitude with very few exceptions. Poor(inexistant) service, bad smell surrounding bungalow.
Review 74:No pool, no sunlounge on the beach; no free wifi, sea entrance with rocks
Review 75:Excellent location, restaurants, intimity, secure
Review 76:Staff need to have more training how to smile to the customer And the breakfast too boor and the staff are very hard to deal with them
Review 77:Lots of pollution noted in the water. Accomidation smaller than advertised by booking.com
Review 78:Close to the beech.
Review 79:Shortage of bed linen
Review 80:Nice place on the beach
Review 81:Parking Space Car at Mobilhome too small for Mono Volume Car. High risk for damage.
Review 82:Location Cleanliness Kindness Staff
Review 83:I think that charging EUR 48 for bed sheets was close to robbery
Review 84:very family friendly
Review 85:Clean, great facilities. On beach. Port Grimaud walking distance. Quiet.
Review 86:No sunbeds
Review 87:Nice people, very friendly. Lots to do (if you want). Good facilities.

Review 95:Resort design, proximity to beach.
Review 96:for price should have sheets and towels included
Review 97:near to beach, good air con
Review 98:Expensive area.
Review 99:It was very close to the beach, which was very clean.Nice views to Saint Tropez gulf. The room was nice and clean.Nice balcony.
Review 100:great location...
Review 101:Towels and linnen should be provided without additional fee.
Review 102:Good location for family vacation.
Review 103:drinks prices a bit steep
Review 104:Staff Location Liveliness Freindly
Review 105:Can't beat location next to beach. Has all you need to have a great time. Restaurants on site are quite good.
Review 106:Small bedrooms!
Review 107:The location and staff are fantastic!
Review 108:We liked everything, beautiful place, professionaly organized, very friendly
Review 109:It is a campground, and we were booked in a "2 bedroom bungalow" which is actually a mobile home. The interior was tiny, and neighbors were all around us. I guess it's meant for people who love the adventurous type of travel.
Review 110:It is close to St. Tropez, and has a lot of restaurants and entertainment, including the private beach.
Review 111:too expensive during the season, too fancy and too expensive restaurants and bars. in the village
Review 112:great place for kids at the seaside. reasonable price out of the season.
Review 113:Cleaning materials could be provided as it seems unreasonable to expect people to travel with them or buy them for minimal use. Tea Towels could also be provided. On site shop ridiculously expensive compared to other shops.
Review 114:Location, facilities, security
Review 115:wi-fi access very poor, even paid: only one device can connect at the same time and the speed/ power was intermitent and weak; parking restricted to only one car, even we booked a two-family/ 6 person cottage
Review 116:location and facilities, especially for children
Review 117:poor customer service accommodation faults not fixed, bare wires, lights not working, dishwasher not working, door frames broken, shower doors hanging off, took 13 days to get round to fixing things, totally unacceptable.
Review 118:beach location next to Port Grimaud
Review 119:The best place to stay with small children - you have kitchen and all necessary shops there. It is nice that they have beach as part of a resort for free. The mobile houses are very new and clean. Everything was perfect.
Review 120:Sea very cold so would've loved a swimming pool on site.
Review 121:Just a couple of steps away from a great beach, perfect for our young kids. Lovely setting in the garden lodges.
Review 122:All activities are included such as: - Aquafitness - Yoga - Tennis - Football - Volleyball - Dancing (Zumba/Salsa)
Review 123:Dirty beach, parking area around bungalows needs Tarmac.
Review 124:Location
Review 125:Bungalows very close together, near to long bar was noisy even in low season. No pool.
Review 126:Location, right on clean beach.
Review 127:Expensive bar
Review 128:Great beach
Review 129:Easy access to all the amenities on site and very clean and family friendly.
Review 130:Cigarette butts on the beach.
Review 131:Everything. Wonderful place to relax. Staff friendly. Camp site super clean.
