Reviews for Le Logis Du Guetteur

Review 1:I had a terrible experience with the restaurant staff. Extremely unfriendly because I did not speak French. I was given a French menu and one evening asked to leave the main restuarant and eat in a room without a view. As I did not speak French the atmosphere spoilt my visit. I also speak Dutch and German and felt like speaking to the main restaurant man in Dutch rather than English. Unfortunatly I would never recommend this hotel to an English speaking guests.

Review 2:Provence is a beautiful part of France

Review 3:Getting to the restaurant and Pool area was a bit tricky not for people with mobility problems. Getting taxis can be a problem.

Review 4:It was a bit hit and miss with the staff. Our lack of French didn't help.

Review 5:very few staff at reception and we had to deal with restaurant staff most of the time, no-one on reception after 1630; very thin walls in the tower room we had and we could hear every footfall next door. No mini-bar despite being advertised. could not open window as bedside lamp in the way. This was over-priced for what you get.

Review 6:swimming pool and location

Review 7:Staff super nice. Hotel is located at top of village, beautiful views. Since we were attending a wedding, did not eat in restaurant but dining room has large windows so views are super.

Review 8:Didn't know what to expect after some of the mixed reviews on here. Let me just say- you are staying in a 12th century castle not a 21st century palace. It is not modern but that's not why you would choose this place- it is incredible. A beautiful location, views overlooking town and valley and beautiful food. The staff were extremely helpful and lovely and we loved every minute of our time there. Wish we were there longer!

Review 9:There were not enough lamps in our room. The weather during our stay was very grey and rainy so it was quite dull staying in the room with not enough light. A shower curtain would be needed, it was impossible to take the shower without water going all around in the bathroom. Wifi was not working in the room.

Review 10:The hotel is situated in a very beautiful environment with a romantic setting. The medieval castle is renovated into a nice and cosy hotel. The restaurant is EXCELLENT, very good food for a reasonable price.

Review 11:Couldn't get Wi-Fi to work in the room.

Review 12:We we delighted by the excellent view of the town from our room. The staff were kind and very helpful, especially on the day of our arrival when it was raining and we couldn't walk outside. We enjoyed the local rose wine in the restaurant.

Review 13:Superb historical castle as a hotel

Review 14:Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. Amazing building. Beautiful location. Standard double room a little on small side.

Review 15:The bed was not that comfortable.

Review 16:The view

Review 17:the bathroom was oldfashioned and with a leakage, the overall style of the room was outdated, slow wifi, not good value for money

Review 18:the view, the staff, the breakfast

Review 19:The room was very small + very little space for storing your clothes.

Review 20:The location on the top of the hill was fantastic (but not suitable for people with walking disabilities) and the restaurant on the terrace a nice place for breakfast and dinner.

Review 21:The bed:they need new mattresses. No screens on windows-mosquitos cost us 2 nts sleep. Poor air-conditioner-couldn't use it because of noise. Restaurant is beautiful and meal was fine but repeated every night !

Review 22:The medieval village is unique. We spent hours just wandering about and admiring the architecture and individual aspects of it

Review 23:Maintenance very lacking - doorknob hanging off, shower head hanging off, and bathtub tap loose. Kept awake by windows rattling in the wind.

Review 24:Superb location and views. Excellent restaurant. Interesting decor.

Review 25:Bed was a little bit uncomfortable - but that's a castle, not Radisson's, right ;)

Review 26:This is a fabulous place in the heart of re-novated medieval castle. It gives a true atmosphere of a castle, both interrior and exterrior. Views are great! Restaurant is located in the base of a castle tower, feels very medieval, while serves great french dishes.

Review 27:A very nice hotel that can be warmly recommended. We had a wonderful view over the valley from out room. The restaurant on the terrace is beautiful. Personnel helpful and relaxed.

Review 28:Even though there is a drive to the hotel up a steep narrow road thesituation of the hotel is beautiful. Our room had a great view. Showervery small but the bathroom is very well appointed. We dined in therestaurant, which was expensive but certainly well worth it. The mealand service you could not fault. No problems with car parking.

Review 29:Lovely location and views Very good restaurant

Review 30:Wi-fy didn't work.

Review 31:The premises charged with history
