Reviews for Casa Rural Serafin

Review 1:We were there in mid-January so it got quite cold in the evenings and night, but there was only a small mobile heater which was useless. Meant we were freezing as soon as the sun set No wifi except in the hotel and restaurant, neither within walking distance

Review 2:Tastefully decorated The staff were very helpful Lots of kitchen appliances (including basic cooking products like olive oil, salt, etc and even an orange juice squeezer)

Review 3:We missed the fineprint about the keys collection (our bad, but it is somewhere at the bottom of the page and booking.com doesn't print this information in the printed view) and spent about an hour searching for the house at the given address, then for someone who could explain us where Casa Serafin really is, then searching for the hotel. It would be helpful to see a plate somewhere at Hercalio Sanchez 66 with just a few words: "Casa Serafin. Please collect keys at Hotel Fondo de la Tea"

Review 4:We actually were offered another apartment which was close to the church, and which was great. The reason was that we were tired after a long cycling from Maspalomas, and Casa itself is quite a walk from the hotel where keys are collected.

Review 5:This was not a big problem for us but you do have to be quick using the shower as the water tank is very small. And leave sufficient time for it to heat up again before the next person uses it. The owners are very conscious of this and were talking about installing a bigger tank so this may not be a problem for long.

Review 6:Absolutely stunning views from the terrace - we sat out late almost every evening with the BBQ lit for warmth (we were there over Easter). Lovely, traditional apartment with everything we needed for preparing breakfast and stove-top meals. An short, invigorating (uphill) 5 minute walk to the village high street with restaurants etc. We were able to park the car outside the apartment so you could drive up if you prefer. Staff - at the nearby Fonda De La Tea hotel - were very friendly & helpful and we ate there twice, lovely meal and service.

Review 7:We had a problem with water heater because we accidentally unplugged it from the wall to use the microwave, but soon got used to things. You don't get much light in from the small windows.

Review 8:A beautiful apartment in a great location for walking, we had a great days walking around Roque Nublo. Didn't get chance to use all facilities unfortunately just wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Lady at Hotel very helpful and speaks good English. Very pretty place and peaceful.

Review 9:The indoor lighting is poor, with dim lamps and small windows. Theshower ran cold after less than a minute, unless kept on very low power. No internet, except in the town center. The location is difficult toaccess, with a very steep, narrow road down from the town and anaggressive dog nearby. Many of the amenities in Tejeda are unavailablefor most of the afternoon, and close again early in the evening.

Review 10:The apartment is well-equipped and private, with clean and comfortablerooms and a great view from the terrace. Washing machine and the usualkitchen appliances (no oven though, except the outdoor grill). Beautifulsurroundings, with great hikes in the area (hot and exposed in summer, bring plenty of water!). Several of the towns in this area feel liketourist traps despite being fairly remote, but the locals are nice. Thewoman who rents the place is very friendly.

Review 11:In the first morning we run out of hot water, but that was a minor drawback compared to the overall beauty of the place and surroundings.

Review 12:Absolutely the best place for stay if you want to get local, authentic feel of the island. Liked everything about the location in the small rural village with rooster songs in the morning, lemon tree at the window, flowers everywhere, authentic rural house, facilities, including private terrase, grill, all facilities for relaxing - sunbeds, paracels, books, games... And the best sign of a perfect apartment - presence of dishwashing liquid and a sponge - rarely found in such places. With mountain trails in the close surroundings you could easily spend a week there without getting bored.
