Review 1:It was a bit cold in the breakfast room and the coffee/milk left a bit to be desired otherwise all good
Review 2:Very warm welcome, great location, beautiful room
Review 3:no vegetables in the breakfast, otherwise it was good
Review 4:good location, 3 minutes walk to the old city. Hotel has a nice atmosphere with modern paintings on the walls, rooms are very clean, very comfortable bed, balcony with sun shelter, very friendly staff
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Everyone was so friendly and helpful and really did everything they could to make our stay a good one. Our room was quiet and peaceful and we hardly knew there were other guests.
Review 7:The kitchenette wasn't great.
Review 8:Thoroughly well kept and well managed hotel. Generous size of room. Quiet although centrally located. Pleasant staff. Lift, balcony, air conditioning, bathroom: all good. Vence is an attractive town, not far from Nice airport but properly French.
Review 9:It was the perfect location between the old Town and the Matisse chapel. The mountain view from the balcony was spectacular. it was just what we needed at the mid-point of our vacation. Very friendly person at the front desk. Very nice garden.
Review 10:Friendly and very helpful owners snd staff. Very convenient to the old town. The underground parking is great but there is a charge of €9 a day (not mentioned on Booking.com), but well worth it.
Review 11:Petit dejournee is just ok.
Review 12:Very comfortable, owner is very gracious and helpful, always there for you. Parking good. And right outside door of hotel is bubbling spring of mineral water that is amazing. Fill bottles before heading for day,
Review 13:It's a great hotel: Very clean room, perfect bed and shower, a beautiful view, perfect location (only 200 metres from the old town / centre), and on top of it all: a very friendly and welcoming staff.
Review 14:We had a clean, comfortable and spacious room with a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. The hotel was an easy 15 minute walk to the gorgeous Matisse Chapelle des Rosaires and right on the edge of the old city of Vence. The staff was charming and very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone traveling in the surrounding area.
Review 15:Roof terrace and spa a little tired - but a great view.
Review 16:Spacious room accessed by elevator. Short walk to the old town and restaurants. A comortable one night stopover. Good opportunity to practice our French as the fellow who checked us in and out did not speak English. Had to leave early so did not sample breakfast.
Review 17:The hotel was so convenient for both transport links and the town centre. The reception staff were extremely helpful. An excellent choice for peoplewishing to explore the area both on foot or by bus.
Review 18:Didn't have a bad experience of this hotel but one gripe we did have is that we asked for a kitchenette which was very inadequate - no microwave, no electric jug, a stove top that took ages to boil a pot of water and then we were charged an extra 15 euros a day for it which was a bit of a shock when you consider how ill equipped the kitchenette was. Therefore a stay over 2 nights was an extra 30 euro!! We are sure they didn't mention this when doing the booking.
Review 19:The location was brilliant - staff very pleasant and helpful - they even helped us get our bags from the car into hotel. Very good parking underneath hotel at 9 euros a day which is okay (although we had been under impression parking was free). Nice foyer area with a lovely big screened TV which was great to be able to watch the French Tennis Open!
Review 20:Duvet not required for the summer. Too hot! Parking 9 Euros. There is a loud church clock in he town which strikes every hour through the night. Bring some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Review 21:Good location. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Review 22:A friendly family-run hotel where all the staff took an interest in us and gave us any help we needed. Centrally located yet very quiet with a pretty garden.
Review 23:It is always a pleasure to return to this hotel. So conveniently located! The welcome is always professional but so friendly!. We like returning to this hotel anytime we come to Vence and love the rooms with balconies that look down on the hotel garden. "Grand Merci" to the staff who are so attentive! We also appreciate the very secure car garage.
Review 24:No wheelchair access tp breakfast room or garden, tiny lift only just took wheelchair, definitely not a hotel suitable for people with reduced mobility. Roof terrace unusable and looked like a bomb site. Breakfast poor value for money,
Review 25:Clean room and excellent location. Friendly and helpful receptionist and cleaning staff.
Review 26:Slightly cool but it was November and a heater was offered.
Review 27:Helpful concierge, comfortable lounge and bar, super location near to restaurants and bars. Good view from window 5th floor. Breakfast very good.
Review 28:Almost nothing. We requested a shower and it was great, but had no door to the shower cabin and flooded a little, but quickly dried and was no problem for us.
Review 29:Staff and owners were very friendly, room was clean, bed very comfortable, location excellent - next to the old town, but just outside the noise. Our room overlooked an inner garden, which was very pleasant. Wifi very good quality. Vence is a perfect location for a couple of days sightseeing in the area.

Review 44:Below is the text of an email I sent to this hotel on August 1st, hopingfor a positive response which I could include in this review. There hasbeen none after more than two weeks."I have stayed at your hotel three times over recent years and find it to be excellent in every way but one. The exception is your policy of charging the holders of Sterling credit cards in their own currency rather than euros. This first happened last year, when I discovered this in time, and on that occasion paid in euros. This year, checking out on the 19th of July, I made it absolutely clear that I wished to pay in Euros and not Sterling. Despite this I was charged in Sterling. I asked, several times, for the transaction to be cancelled which your cashier refused to do. Your policy works to the financial disadvantage of customers and presumably to your own advantage. It is therefore not only unfair but possibly unlawful. I stay in 40 or 50 hotels worldwide each year. No other hotel does this. I am contacting you first about this to give you the opportunity of reversing this policy, and assuring me that you have done so, so that I can include your positive response in any hotel review I may submit".

Review 85:The owners were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Only a short walk into the town and to the Matisse Chapel. Room (Matisse Junior Suite) very nice, though not really a suite, more a superior room with balcony.
Review 86:The bed was extremely comfortable and it was nice to have a balcony. There was a good view and it was just a short walk to the centre and to Chapelle matisse.

Review 90:Secure parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Clean spacious bathroom with bathtub. Nice balcony.
Review 91:Square pillows! Apparently some idiot of an interior designer seems to think square pillows look 'nice'! Why have pillows been rectangular from time immoral? Because they support your head and neck-not half your back. This is not the only hotel I've discovered them in recently and I wish they'd get rid of them. I couldn't get a proper night's sleep.
Review 92:pleasant environment, very close to the centre, nicely appointed rooms with impressive views.
Review 93:No complaints at all
Review 94:I booked this hotel because it was close to friends rented house. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always someone on duty. Breakfast fresh, good coffee and lovely outside seating area in attractive small gardens.
Review 95:The Garage should be included in the tariff because where the Hotel is located requires the park fee. Since the breakfast is on charge they should offer the possibility to have eggs as per customer preference.
Review 96:The hotel was somewhat difficult to locate in a small city.
Review 97:Hotel Diana was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast in the sunroom overlooking the garden was pleasant. It was a reasonably priced hotel and a nice place to stay when visiting St. Paul de Vence.
Review 98:The building is rather ugly, but that's not really important. The coffee in the morning was not good.
Review 99:Location of the hotel - 3 minutes walk from town center. The bed was the most comfortable we had on our trip in France. Room was spacious and staff friendly.
Review 100:Friendly welcome and on site garage. Great location for visiting Vence, St. Paul, Nice and Monte Carlo. We took advantage of the solarium after a hard day's sightseeing. We had a 5th floor room with balcony .... great views!
Review 101:Nothing. Breakfast maybe a little pricey but fresh and good coffee
Review 102:Secure parking.Virtually in the centre. Extremely friendly helpful hosts who spoke excellent English. The man next door showed us his collection of classic cars and seemed impressed with ours!
Review 103:Bus journey to airport- took 50% longer than timetable - this shouldhave been pointed out when I asked at hotel which was best bus to taketo airport. Roadworks outside hotel for 2 days solid !!

Review 105:We felt welcome, everybody was very friendly. Rooms were good with balcony with view on the beautiful garden, we even could see the sea! Breakfast was good. Parking available. Near the city center and the shows of the Nuits du Sud. Just a good place to stay.
Review 106:Lovely stylish hotel in Vence. The breakfast croissants are the best ever and the owners are lovely. There is a pretty garden where you can enjoy a drink or just chill and it is just a short walk to the centre.
Review 107:The owners have the well being of their guests at heart. Their suggestions regarding things to do and things to see are very useful. Very clean hotel in a quiet street with underground private parking.
