Reviews for Napoleon Paris
Review 1:The staff was particularly attentive to the guests and extremely pleasant. Not always something you find in 5 stars hotel so I really appreciated the welcome and how they dealt with a couple of questions.
Review 2:The A/C was malfunction for more than 3 days and I asked them 3 times to send some to fix it then they send me the bill boy to adjust the temp. Of the A/C then I told them the compressor is not working then they the promise to fix but nothing happen !!!!!???
Review 3:The renovation inside and out side
Review 4:There is nothing not to like.
Review 5:We didn't just like everything, we LOVED everything. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are absolutely amazing, the location is stunning. I will definitely return. I booked this hotel for my Mums 81st Birthday and we could not have asked for any more.
Review 6:I didn't like that they gave me room no 102 and what I've asked was a high floor room , and the balcony has no privacy because it overlook to the next suit terrace which is uncomfortable it's like u r sharing the same balcony and it's not safe coz any one can jump to your room from the next suit , if they were chilling in the terrace u can see them while u r on ur bed
Review 7:Location , cleanliness
Review 8:Paris near rhe arc is ridiculously expensive and restaurants are poorly managed and service was abysmal
Review 9:Staff was very atrentive And efficient. Hotel location eas fantastic. Property is very quiet
Review 10:Although hotel is extremely expensive, the wifi was not free of charge. Wifi charges itself is also high in hotel, it is cheaper to buy a local sim with data bundle than using hotel wifi. The breakfast had a very poor selection compared to the price per person for breakfast. The rooms were not so spacious (again based on the value paid per room). The room walls and widows were absolutly not noise isolated, I could clearly hear what my neighbor rooms are talking if they just speak a bit louder. The price paid for rooms are really very high compared to value of money.
Review 11:Location is great, close to sightseeing and market.
Review 12:It's difficult to be in a quad room with only one toilet and bath especially if you are not a family.
Review 13:It was our third year to go to Paris last July and by far, this is the best hotel we've stay on in terms of comfort, cleanliness and service. They are as expensive as the last two hotels but at least at Napoleon, we got value for our money.
Review 14:No hot water, and no apology or alternative arrangements when we complained. Also, they messed up out taxi arrangements TWICE
Review 15:Location, decor, some staff very helpfuk
Review 16:The hotel was super. I am alergic to gluten, I would have liked a good option or 2 on the food menu, especially breakfast, just for my allergy.
Review 17:Everything. The room was lovely. The employees all friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Review 18:Room is samall No tea facilities in room الغرفه صغيره نوعا ما
Review 19:Nice location near champs el seeys Hotel is clean & comfortable although room is small
Review 20:Beware - classic room was much smaller than the pictures. Also really bad service - didn't deliver the special request I made beforehand, took nearly 2 hours one night to deliver room service, got orders wrong, didn't bother to clean the bathroom one day, and more!! On a positive note, the manager did give me a discount for all of the bad experiences I had.
Review 21:Location is fantastic.
Review 22:The location is perfect, one street over from the one of the most popular streets in the world. Staff was very nice to us and the hotel is top notch. No negatives other than the size of the room which is expected in Europe. I would come back again and stay at this hotel
Review 23:Water pressure in the toilets a bit weak.
Review 24:The overall atmosphere and the rooms are really nice. the rooms are clean and the hotel is in a prime location within walking distance from the Metro and Arch of triumph and champs eleyze.
Review 25:Not much, just had tough time with my Huawei not connecting to the WiFi.
Review 26:Staff were very friendly, location couldn't be better.. and having a water hose in the room's toilet is AAA+ feature.
Review 28:location
Review 29:The location is perrrfect!!! Steps from the arc de triumph, shopping and restaurants. Feeling of old Paris with modern amenities. Staff is professional and helpful. Wished I could stay longer.
Review 30:I strongly did not like the night staff. I felt I was being rushed and was concerned about purchases that was being made at night. I felt as i was doing something wrong purchasing champagne during the night. The service took too long and night staff complained to the morning staff cause of my purchases. The next morning I had numerous of calls early in the morning waking me and informing me that I had to pay an additional 4000€ deposit if I wished to continue my stay at the napeon. This was not comfortable at all !!! I am not happy with my stay !!! I would not recommend anyone else to stay at your hotel. My family own travel agencies in the United states and I will be informing them about my stay and not to recommend any other travellers to your hotel.
Review 31:The only thing I really liked was the welcoming of my arrival to the hotel.
Review 32:No parking for thé hôtel although there is one at distance Breakfast was ok but Could have more varities
Review 33:Thé location of thé hôtel is by Arc de Triomphe Comfy room and bedding Cleanliness Thé lobby
Review 34:The bed is not comfortable. The pillows and mattresses are stiff, and too little sheets.
Review 35:The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean.
Review 36:The only downfall with this hotel was that you had to pay for wi-fi (€20 per day) while in your room.
Review 37:Excellent location near the champs-elysees. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The cleaning service was fantastic, our room got cleaned twice a day!
Review 38:Nothing. All was perfect. Just wished the buffet breakfast had more of "Halal" cold cuts.
Review 39:Great hotel in a nice location. Classical French ambience if you like this style, you will enjoy your stay in the hotel. You will find most of the TV channels that you want.
Review 40:the location ...quite street ... a minute walk from metro/train station ...2 min from Champs élysées and the Arc de Triomphe ...helpful staff ....comfy beds....fresh croissant
Review 41:very small room with somewhat old furniture during our stay hotel was under renovation with some noise from outside also the outside view of the room was hidden because of the renovation
Review 42:Great location !!
Review 43:very small room with somewhat old furniture compared to the money value during our stay hotel was under renovation with some noise from outside also the outside view of the room was hidden because of the renovation
Review 44:welcoming staff Great Location walking distance from Champs-Élysées
Review 45:at this day and age, i expect to have free wifi in my room, especially at hotels prices at this level
Review 46:perfect location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable
Review 47:Wifi very expensive, we booked a room with a view to the arc de trioumphe, noone noticed us about the fact that in front of the windows of this room workers will walk around during the day, and that there wont be any view bcs of the framework. paid very much and got downgraded, no refund either! i checked and the room i received cost at least 50€ less per night! very disappointed!
Review 48:great location, pure parisienne feeling, nice rooms
Review 49:WiFi is quite expensive but I suppose money isn't a major issue in a luxurious hotel like Napoleon. Scaffolding is happening at the moment but all part of the high standards
Review 50:Staff are very friendly and the hotel is very well maintained.
Review 51:Little bit expenses but worth it .
Review 52:The staff were so friendly especially the new girl in the reception from Netherlands she was so friendly and helpful .
Review 53:Room 309 really too small to be classed as "superior". Inadequate, awkward hanging space. Lunchtime food was not what is expected of an hotel of this quality - and expensive. Breakfast too limited for the price.
Review 54:Style and location are good, condition is excellent and a good, comfortable bed.
Review 55:Everything starting form the hotel staff and ending with the hotel room. It's impossible to consider this hotel as 5 statr ????? I wouldn't give it 2 star. My worst hotel experience ever.
Review 56:I did not like anything
Review 57:I did not like the fact that when we upgraded we paid extra charge, after been told that there would be no added cost I did not like the fact that we had to pay extra cost to use wifi in the room I didn't like the fact that the breakfast was not included in the deal
Review 58:Though they say 5 star it clearly says 4 star and the only complaints are thet our used coffee cups and spoons were not cleaned the next day after we returned to the room ..nor had they been replaced.so we had to be without coffee the next morning and it was only done after we complained to concierge.this after staying at suite for such a price was poor service! the room service efood was also bad.plus renovations were also taking place which we ere not aware of.
Review 59:Location,Rooms Comfort, staff.(though could be better)..classic style of hotel
Review 60:The fact that they had not cleaned up our coffee cups that were in the room and the spoons too were not even wiped.they had forgotten to put fresh coffee sachets and sugar.we had to wait without for a day and this was only corrected after we complained to the concierge. The room service food was bad ..limited choice..perhaps due to renovation going on.
Review 61:Everything was good. The location was super! The staff were good. The rooms we had were fantastic.
Review 62:bed have to upgrade as real 5 star hotel.
Review 63:Some staffs remember your face after several years. Great location is always my first choice in Paris as long as room rate is reasonable.
Review 64:wasnt made aware of extensive renovations occurring at immediate front of building.Probably wouldnt have stayed here if known. Booking.com states its a 5* but in the hotel its clearly states 4* beside reception and in other areas of hotel it states 5*, so am a little confused on the actual rating. I wanted a 5* but felt disappointed when it may actually only be a 4*.
Review 65:Location, decor and friendly helpful staff
Review 66:1-The paid Wifi . 2- Two tariffs for the breakfast. One for the Buffet and one for the continental.I rarely encountered this in a Hotel.
Review 67:1-First ,The History of the Hotel,it still belongs to the original family.it is a pity that Hotels in France are almost sold to foreigners. 2-The outside architecture of the façade and the interior design reflecting the typical classy& nice French desig(ex:Elevator,Breakfast room & the Lounge design very warm and distinguish, Finally,me as Lebanese having a lot of emotion and affection for France would like that this country keeps its belonging. So Keep Napoleon Hotel with its French tradition.
Review 68:One night the room was full of s*#t smell :( The hotel is undergoing renovations from the outside so the contractor starts work at 10 am and it gets noisy.
Review 69:Location: 2 mins walk to the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. 15 mins walk to the Eiffel tower. Atmosphere: the historic furniture and finishing of the rooms give a good atmosphere
Review 70:No air conditioning. No free in room WI fi. If there was air conditioning, I would have given comfort and quality of sleep higher marks. Otherwise, no complaints.
Review 71:Service and staff excellent, friendly and helpful
Review 72:The staff are highly qualified and friendly. We are big family and everyone make our experience incredibly satisfying and great with all staff available services and help
Review 73:There was nothing not to like, congratulations
Review 74:Traveling with my daughter I wanted it to be a special last night of our holiday. We were lucky to get an update of the room and the whole experience was something we will always remember. On our next trip we hope to stay longer and enjoy the excellent service of staff and the whole atmosphere of the hotel.
Review 75:Furnishings and decorations are tired. Carpet and sofas smelled of smoke. Terrible breakfast for the price. At €28, I'd expect a short order cook preparing eggs etc.
Review 76:Great location Friendly staff
Review 77:There were no tea and coffee making facilities. The wifi was expensive in the room.
Review 78:Staff helpfulness, especially the concierge Guillaume, and the house-keeper, Natasha.
Review 79:A few things to consider: reconstruction of the outside of the hotel had just begun the day we arrived in early September, 2014. Sad timing and no warning. Not the end of the world. Our room was unbelievably small and we did not receive assistance to find another suitable room as we were told the hotel was fully booked. We did have an issue with our cold water in the bathroom- it was hotter than the hot water tap! This was 'almost' fixed. None of these items alone is earth shattering but all together at the price we paid, are a bit annoying.
Review 80:A stunning smaller hotel in the heart of Paris. I would stay here again but I would book a larger room as ours apparently, was the smallest in our category and it barely fit my over sized luggage. The staff overall was gracious and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were beautifully appointed.
Review 81:Coffee for 8 euros with NO refill! Very pricey food that is not worth it. We went around corner each morning for coffee.
Review 82:Hotel was gorgeous, Staff was amazing and helpful. Great bar! Good location next to underground.
Review 83:We had no complaints!
Review 84:The Napoleon has old world charm but with amenities. It was very clean and the food good- LOVED their pastries and overall breakfast. Wonderful location; we could see the Eiffel Tower from our room. We splurged on the balcony suite and it was well worth it. In addition, it is located near the Champs, Arc dr Triumph, and Eiffel Tower. There were other nice bistros across the street and within walking distance. We would definitely stay there again.
Review 85:Unattentive staff. Front desk staff ambivalent about guest needs. Staff in bar/restaurant is useless, have to go to them to get any service and had to carry drinks tonight my guests.
Review 86:Suites are spacious
Review 87:Slow maid service. Had to wait forever to check in which makes a difference when you have been awake for 24+ hours! Rooms are nice but a little dated.
Review 88:Location is wonderful, Near Champs Elysees and Arch. Great staff - very helpful and friendly. Suites are generous and bathrooms are good size.
Review 89:Wish theres less noise fm the the underground subway...! Would like to have more English speckers in your staff team for the none French specker travolers
Review 90:Would come back again!
Review 91:Location is so central, everything is in 10 minutes travel by taxi maximum. Room was so nice, view from the balcony is superb. Recommend to choose the room with the main Avenue Friedland view, 1st floor. Breakfast was all right, hotel was very clean, staff smiling and helpful. Concierge service provided and they arranged flowers and cake and blown up our balloons. Overall we had a great birthday weekend for our mum in Paris and great part was down to the hotel choice!
Review 92:Wi Fi is only free in lobby but the lobby is large and easy to relax in.
Review 93:The location of this hotel is great. Metro is very close. You can easily walk to shopping and more.
Review 94:One small issue I had was that there wasn't a kettle in the room.
Review 95:I liked the staff. They were so helpful and I asked them to store my luggage for a few hours even when I checked out. The location was superb. Just a few steps from the landmarks. I really loved the bed, I slept like a baby every night. Everything was great!
Review 96:Rooms were rather small although we paid for a superior room. Television had few channels in English and continually lost picture saying cable connection was lost. Needed to call someone to have a bottle of wine opened. No opener provided. No free bottles of water. Charged as part of mini-bar. Charged for Wi-Fi in the room. Only free in lobby.
Review 97:Hotel décor truly felt Parisian. Elegant décor. Spacious bathroom. Staff extremely courteous and helpful.
Review 98:1.Internet to be charged in thr executive room. 2.Some room.Toilet and bath separated and no water for washing nor bidet in some of toilet.
Review 99:The rooms are not consistent .took the executives room for the first 2 days. And the last day of my trip when returned to paris
Review 100:I had communicated with the concierge a few days prior to have a bottle champagne, chocolates and fruit on our arrival as we were in Paris for our honeymoon. Unfortunately we were booked in a room and last minute was changed, which meant on our arrival to room there was none of the above. I know that if Alain was working that day everything would have gone smoothly.
Review 101:Being the first time in Paris, although the language barrier at times was tough, all of the staff and in particular the concierge's were very friendly and helpful
Review 102:The front desk staff wasn't not very friendly and they seemed to look us up and down as we walked through the lobby. The concierge also seemed less than eager to help. When we did try to get a restaurant recommendation from him he suggested a horrible and empty restaurant that had a bad vibe. The room and the decor also felt very stuffy and uptight. It wasn't very comfortable.
Review 103:We loved the location right next to the Champs Elyssee. We also liked the breakfast, although it was very expensive.
Review 104:The staff were very helpful, efficient yet respectful of one's space. We received an upgrade when we arrived which was a nice surprise, although I imagine it was due to over occupancy. Overall a memorable experience due to all the right reasons.
Review 105:breakfast was not good for arabic people, TV was not good. Water at bathroom was not strong.
Review 106:Staff was very helpful, very friendly and smiling all the time.
Review 107:Think the breakfast should be included. It's very expensive for what it is. No English channels on TV apart from world news. Bbc1 even would be nice.
Review 108:Was offered the best suite at a good price made our stay special
Review 109:Nothing
Review 110:friendly and helpful staff. very clean and room size is fine for europ hotels .. I felt like am at my home I recommend to stay in Napeoleon and will come agian in my future trips.
Review 111:We were forced to get a family suit though what we booked was standard double room. The reason given was the room is strictly for two person and we have 2 small kids. We didnt encounter this problem when we stay in other hotels in France or other countries. We end up had to pay almost eur400per nite for the family suit which was over our budget.
Review 112:Location
Review 113:Room (mini- suite) claimed as 41sqm on this web site and chosen over regularly used hotel for this reason as travelling with family .. but actually the room was much smaller; maybe they are adding the balcony dimensions into the figure. When I mentioned this to management I was offered a larger suite for a higher charge. No tea or coffee facilities in room, no iron or ironing board and no chest of drawers. Limited closet space. Had some issues with plumbing which were sorted out quickly when reported. A pleasant hotel but not really up to international standards for the star rating.
Review 114:Good location, room quite, good quality bathroom amenities , air-con worked properly.
Review 115:This is not a knock on the Napoleon but rather all hotels not understanding that we like to have coffee to go!!! Had to get an early train the next morning and it would have been nice to have a take-out cup.
Review 116:I found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was small but lovely. Great location!
Review 117:No room service after 2230 hr Shower and toilet exhaust are not the best both weak in.operation lift and dining settings are not fit for 5 stars. Overall the best score is 8 out of 10
Review 118:excellent courteous staff. location breakfast and lunch are good
Review 119:Funny smell each day early afternoon? Wi-Fi not included and all additional costs were very high.
Review 120:Incredible location! Comfortable bed and lot's of windows. Staff was very helpful.
Review 121:No laundary at the hotel if you need the hotel has to send it to an outsider service, if you need an express service you can not get it which was not a real problem, but kind of strange for 5 stars hotel
Review 122:Nice clean room , friendly staff, water source in the toilette pan is very convenient for Muslim guests delicious desserts and a great location
Review 123:Absolutely nothing! It's was wonderful!
Review 124:We can't say enough positive things about The Napoleon! We were in Paris on a 4 day girls trip and the hotel was perfect! The location was great, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was top notch. We had a great room with a beautiful large balcony with a view! But, what made our stay at the hotel that much more enjoyable was the staff. They were courteous and very accommodating with every request. Thank you to Paul and his staff. After long, hot days of touring in The City of Lights our room at The Napoleon was a welcome relief! Thank you for making our trip to Paris very relaxing and enjoyable!
Review 125:The executive room is small and has no view and having two bed is like one bed and everything is renovated to the perfection but still looks like Napoleon era
Review 126:The location and the caring staff is excellent they really care for your comfort
Review 127:Superb hotel in great location! I would highly recommend the Napoleon - from the courteous staff, to the comfortable rooms and beds. They also now have wifi in the bedrooms and not just the lobby. We will definitely be back.
Review 128:Everything...The staff were very helpful and attentive ..room was very spacious and comfortable ..location was excellent.Would definitely stay there again.
Review 129:Top location , staff excellent. Highly recommend
Review 130:Bar and food very expensive.
Review 131:Location. Great standard of hotel. Service good.
Review 132:Food is very expensive.
Review 133:Can't praise the hotel enough! Location, quality, helpful .. I could go on.
Review 134:Old interior, the mattress. I almost had bad back
Review 135:Room service
Review 136:Location A+++
Review 137:great location and all you would expect from a 5star hotel;
