Reviews for Hotel Rural Fonda de la Tea
Review 1:rooms are quite dark so in case of bad weather you would need to set the light on. lack of vegetables during breakfast. little bit expensive.
Review 2:we've got room by the terrace - the view is incredible and there are sunbeds. nice breakfasts. clean, comfortable bed.
Review 3:My only criticism would be that it would be nice to have a kettle in the room so you could make yourself a nice cup of tea! But next time I'll just bring my travel kettle!
Review 4:We loved the hotel, the staff were so friendly and helped out all they could with walking info and where to eat. The terrace is amazing, a beautiful view to wake up to and then in the afternoon to sit and snooze in the sunshine after a long days walk! Tejeda is a really beautiful place.
Review 5:I really got nothing to complain about.
Review 6:The staff is very friendly and makes you fell home. The people staying at this hotel are mostly hikers so usually friendly and quiet people. The hotel is in the village, close to restaurants and grocers. It's easy to park near the hotel. Tejeda village is very well located for those who wants to go hiking around. I've greatly enjoyed my stay.
Review 7:None
Review 8:Tejeda is a great and very beautiful location. Some great walks in stunning scenery. The Hotel & staff could not have been better. If you looking for great views and a peaceful town the hotel is a great place to stay.
Review 9:I was charged on my credit card in GBP rather than euros. I wasn't given the option to choose. I only noticed when I checked my credit card bill.
Review 10:Good breakfast. Friendly welcome.
Review 11:shame the woodburner was never lit i think if you lit the fire and had an honesty bar clients would meet up and discuss their adventures in this beautifull location
Review 12:location and views cleanliness
Review 13:Really good hotel, clean and convenient. Situated right in the village and an easy walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Tejeda is a beautiful and friendly village and a superb base for walking and exploring the stunning scenery of the area.
Review 14:The hotel was very central. The staff were helpful and the hotel clean & very comfortable
Review 15:Nothing!
Review 16:Location, views from the terrace, staff welcome and helpfulness, great breakfasts, easy parking. Everything!
Review 17:Friendly and helpfull staff, great breakfast, nice rooms. Heating for case of bad weather! 100% recommended.
Review 18:Excellent location Great views Good centre for hiking but limited public transport without a car
Review 19:Compared to the other hotels we visited the value for money was not in order. The breakfast is not too great and the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests. We found it disturbing that the owners wanted to charge us the full price for a tiny room with no view (room number 1) . It was the last room they had, so we had no choice. We protested, got a bottle of wine and 10% discount. Witness previous reviews all residents of room number 1 get this treatment. If a guest protests the management tries to satisfy him with some small concessions. Nevertheless, this approach is incorrect. We believe that one must clearly indicate that it is an extremely small room when booking, and that this particular room should have a much lower price.
Review 20:Hotel Rural Fonda de la Tea is in itself a reasonable hotel. It is mainly visited an older crowd that comes to enjoy the nature. It therefore has a bit lethargic atmosphere. But the in-room amenities are ok.
Review 21:Fina and Eva were friendly, welcoming and informative. The rooms wereclean and comfortable. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, as were theevening meals that we took at the hotel. A great location for hiking. Ahotel with fantastic views across the mountains.
Review 22:Wonderful views, very central to the lovely village of Tejeda and communal terrace with sunbeds to enjoy the scenery and sun. Rooms are comfortable but not luxurious, breakfast had nice local pancakes and honey...but coffee was terrible suggest they supply some instant to beef it up for those of us who need kick start in morning!
Review 23:Friendly, sympathetic, english-spoken staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Free WiFi and/or ethernet network access. Central location to go hiking. Well done breakfast. TV channels with different euopean spoken languages.
Review 24:Water temperature could have been a little higher in bathroom Heater didn't work in room, which was cold on a couple of evenings Breakfast rather repetitive
Review 25:Extremely helpful and friendly staff Wonderful location and views Meticulous cleaning and tidying of rooms Wifi available Plenty of parking
Review 26:Really friendly cosy hotel in an excellent location. The room had everything we needed and there was lots of useful information at reception including walking leaflets. There is a lift and a terrace with great views.
Review 27:Cool in the evenings but with this excellent location this is the price you have to pay. A bit expensive.
Review 28:Superb location with wonderful views. Excellent centre for walking trips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection excellent. Dejate Llevar (Let me take u) is a very good restaurant - next to the Spar.
Review 29:according to my booking i had a double/twin room for single use. I had room 1, which was very small - only room for bed. Management agreed it was a single room. In my opinion for this reason it was very overpriced.
Review 30:helpful staff location good breakfast
Review 31:The bed. Horrid plastic mattress cover and lumpy mattress. The water was not hot enough.
Review 32:The location and west-facing room. The staff member, Eva, was extremely helpful and charming.
Review 33:No - liked it all! :)
Review 34:Nice and friendly staff. Beautifully renovated Hotel. Perfectly situated in the centre of Tejeda. Quiet and calm. Perfect spot for starting trecking tours in the beautiful surrounding mountains!
Review 35:For this price in this location the hotel should have excellent quality. It is not. A few examples which I wouldn't mention but for the price: The breakfast is good, but every day the same, no local products, no lunch service, two person beds are a bit small.
Review 36:People are very helpful, nice small hotel with extra's like common living room and sun roof, nice tips for hikes and other activities.
Review 37:Great to have a lunch package service for day trekking tours but ask forits price in advance!
Review 38:The hotel offers cosy and nice rooms with adequate modern furniture andbathroom. The rooms and the terrace have a spendid view over the tejadavalley, roque de Nubla and Bentaigy. Having a drink on the terrace(which is accessible for all hotel guest and creates a nice athmosphere)at sun-down was an excellent Gran Canaria experience. The hotel isextremely well situated for day trekking tours or bus trips around theisland. In the village can be found bars, restaurants and a supermarket(although most of the restaurants closed at 6 P.M.). At some eveningsdinner is available at the hotel - a menu of regional specialitiesprepared for hotel guest. Breakfast includes regional specialities andfresh fruit and cereals as well.
Review 39:The hotel was great, but finding dinner nearby on a Sunday evening was a bit of a challenge.
Review 40:We were on vacation with our 19 month old. They gave us a room that was great for her - with a small area out front safe for her to play. Playground nearby. On the last day, we were leaving early, and they packed us a small breakfast for the road. Room was really unique - apparently all of them are. Beautiful views at sunset - I'd recommend getting dinner to go from nearby, and then sitting on their communal (but mostly unused while we were there) patio, and watching the sun go down. Also note: The hotel and restaurant (Cueva de la tea, or something like that) are owned by the same people, but the restaurant is a 2 min. walk away - where the other restaurants are.
Review 41:Staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel immediately at home. Rooms comfortable, warm despite the unseasonally cold weather and of a good size with shared sun terrace which enjoyed fabulous views. Breakfast had a good choice of dishes including some local specialities. We would have liked to have had dinner in the hotel but this was not possible as our visit coincided with the local fiesta. Excellent hiking in the area.
Review 42:A delightful canarian hotel, well-run by welcoming staff. Excellentbreakfast, the pumpkin fritters and the "organic" omelette particularlyworth trying.
Review 43:Given the price we paid, we would expect more responsive treatment by staff both in everyday communication and in non-standard requirements. Very annoying was that the chambermaid touched our personal items (cosmetics in the bathroom gave us back to cosmetic bags, fold up our clothes and things on the table put into the drawers, so we had no idea where we have them). Double bed was small. If you want to travel around the island, you spend much time in bends.
Review 44:Nice clean small hotel in the mountains, ideal for walking, luxury breakfast in bio quality full of fruits, nuts, cereals, etc. Great solar terrace and view.
Review 45:Dinner can be improved
Review 46:Breakfast Friendliness of owner and personnel
Review 47:Fina and Eva were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a fantastic base for hiking. We recommend it highly!
Review 48:Friendly helpful staff . Excellent breakfast , wonderful views , great centre for walking ,located on 2 bus routes , evening meal .
Review 49:The location with wonderful view to Tejeda and surroundings. The breakfast was very good.
Review 50:Homelike place to spend vacation, peaceful and beautiful. Really helpful staff, Ewa especially.
Review 51:Wonderfull place. Very friendly and helpfull staff with a special thankyou to Fina the owner.
Review 52:Location,peace,relaxation
Review 53:Overpriced New Year's Eve dinner but staff were not pushy about it
Review 54:Location, excellent breakfast, sunny terrace, friendly staff, easy parking
