Reviews for Au Coeur de Megève

Review 1:A bath with a hand shower and no shower curtain seems a little odd.

Review 2:Lovely cosy hotel, with all amenities. It couldnt be more central and excellent value.

Review 3:Ideal location , in the heart of the village, traditional style chalet property, rooms a bit small but totally updated and efficient, cute balcony overlooking the stream and town, friendly helpful staff

Review 4:Free wifi..so free I couldnt get connected to it. Parking was not as advertised and involved quite a lengthy haul of suitcases from "the nearest option given" although I did overhear the receptionist giving a french visitor a more convenient location............ Finding the hotel in Megeve`s one way system was not the easiest part of our trip.

Review 5:The bath was splendid and at 6` tall it was a pleasure to stretch out in, which is a rarity in a lot of hotel baths. Amazingly comfortable beds after a long journey. It was very hard work leaving it in the morning for another day on the road....

Review 6:I thought breakfast a bit of a scramble, it was not easy to help oneself to products. I think at €13 there should be a certain level of service snd organisation.

Review 7:Location, atmosphere, staff.

Review 8:no free parking it was a little difficult to find at first. It's located on pedestrian zone so gps couldn't find it.

Review 9:authentic chalet in great central location

Review 10:A soft, lumpy mattress. Restaurant was under whelming in quality and creativity ( especially in France ) and over - priced. No on - site parking

Review 11:Beautiful decor, fabulous breakfast, very helpful staff.

Review 12:none

Review 13:Great location in the resort center. The room had a nice mountain feel entirely in wood with separate toilet and bath room. The restaurant serves very tasty food. Covered public parking "Casino" located a short walk is convenient.

Review 14:Bathroom v small but fine for one night. Hotel restaurant menu limited and not very interesting.

Review 15:Classic chalet style family owned hotel in fab part of village. Cotton sheets comfy beds and very helpful staff.

Review 16:Bad smell in most of the hotel, the junior suite bad equiped, bad light in bathroom and all over. This hotel realy need a total updating.

Review 17:Mybye the location and the staff

Review 18:The staff were friendly but didn't help us with our luggage or bring us to our room. There is also no room service and the wifi worked for emails and was pretty slow for everything else. That being said, the positives outweighed the negatives and I would be happy to come back.

Review 19:The hotel is really clean and charming. The design is very comfortable and welcoming and the location is unbeatable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite spacious, including the balcony. The hotel is exactly as it's represented online and in the photos.

Review 20:There is no parking place nor a discount in the public parking. Breakfast expensive and not included in room rates.

Review 21:Coziness, location, quietness, excellent staff

Review 22:Too small of a room and Not being offered an upgrade. Noisy on the musical festival evening, although that's the price you pay for such a central location. Being ignored by waiters at attached restaurant.

Review 23:Location, the cuteness of building, the sitting area. Nice staff at reception area.

Review 24:No mini bar

Review 25:Great location.

Review 26:Great location, friendly staff, always open! Restaurant great food I stay regularly

Review 30:This hotel has achieved a beautiful balance of rustic elegance, comfort and charm. Our rooms were lovely with comfortable beds and furnishings.

Review 31:A comfortable hotel. One plus for me are the balconies which enable smokers like me to enjoy our habit, something of a rarity in France.

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:Adorable hotel smack in the center of Megeve . Perfect for convenience, comfort and ease of connecting in to all that the area has to offer!

Review 34:If you want to eat outside you have to put up with the prolific smokers.

Review 35:Plenty going on in Megeve, plenty of restaurants and expensive shops

Review 39:Location, and very friendly hotel.

Review 40:fantastic position in town

Review 41:Style of the room and hotel Nice breakfast Friendly staff Nicely situated in the center

Review 42:Menu limited and expensive

Review 43:Parking is an issue: you can park in the Casino Parking close to the hotel but it is €34/day. There is no-where really to sit out and enjoy the sun and the view, it is all a bit closed in, being in the centre of town. Next time I would go for a hotel a bit out of the centre of town.

Review 44:No parking - you need to park in the one of the nearby car parks (parking is not cheap in Megeve!) Don't get caught out - breakfast is not included

Review 45:Amazing Location right in the centre of the village Beautiful rooms - traditional chalet decor Polite & Welcoming Staff Secure access with code to access when returning late

Review 46:Rooms are very small. We could hardly foound a room for our 2 suit cases. Breakfast could be better. Slow wifi in the rooms. Stuff is not very knowledgable about the area in general, but there is a tourism agency nearby where you can get much more information.

Review 47:Cosy lobby and rooms nicely decorated with cute accesessories - candles, fur pillow, basketys and other girly stuff. Located in the village center close to all restaurants and shops. Nice lobby with lots of sofas and a fire place

Review 48:because it not the skiing season the hotel has no services and the staff not flexible beside the breakfast they can not serve even a the so you can stay in lobby without any drink.

Review 49:location

Review 50:Noisy at night and a few cobwebs under the beems but who cares when everything else is so fantastic.. Ur so tiered by the end of the day u sleep like a log!

Review 51:Priceless cozi quaintness! Special warm fireplace lounge lobby/ picturesque breakfast seating "out of this world" the best criossant, our suite was so cute if I was a bit younger I would have slept in the mezzanine under the stars! Location can not be better!!!!
