Reviews for Le Verdon
Review 1:Whilst I have nothing against old people the youngest resident in this hotel was in their 70s. It is like an old peoples home. Not what we were looking for!
Review 2:Polite and helpful staff
Review 3:Everything: the staff was just excellent and so helpful. Our room was perfectly clean, a little bit small but in a very good condition. The location is good you are in the middle of everything. I would highly recomend this hotel especially for a weekend in this magical place called Provence!
Review 4:Our room was disappointing in many ways. The 'Comfort Twin' room was tiny although advertised as a 'larger room'. There wasn't enough space to stow our 2 pieces of moderately sized luggage so we had to manouvre around it in the room. The two single beds were extremely short, narrow and uncomfortable, and the bedding tired with lumpy old pillows. The bathroom was of good size but dated. Room cleaning was superficial. Also, the air conditioning was broken, so too the wifi, for the entire duration of our stay. There are no English speaking television channels on offer. The rooms were also very noisy. One could hear all the goings on in the corridors and adjacent rooms as there appears to be no sound proofing. From early morning you could hear all the clanking of doors and movements of cleaning staff and hotel guests. Our top priority when staying at a hotel is quality of sleep, unfortunately we got very little sleep due to the reasons mentioned above, and as a consequence I would not recommend this hotel to other travellers.
Review 5:The position and surroundings are quite impressive and very green. The reception and dining area were very nice. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 6:Small room but did have a desk which provides space to put stuff on.
Review 7:Light room with balcony. Good pillows and nice white linen. Big enough bathroom. Robes for use of. Great towels. Tremendous on site restaurant with well trained staff and great food.
Review 8:The breakfast is a bit on the expensive side at 12 euro pp. There is theexpress breakfast at 7 euro pp, but still for a glass of orange juice.Tea or coffee and 2 small brioches it's still expensive.
Review 9:The cleanliness and the welcoming decore of this hotel is top! It'sour third time at this hotel. Although it is a 2 star hotel it gives ahigher level of service! It's position, though not in the verycentre of Greoux-les Bains is only walking distance. It is surrounded bybeautiful greenery in a very quiet location. The standard room isspotlessly clean and though not big, but a comfortable size ifyou're staying for 1 or 2 nights.
Review 10:A bit far from centre, but doesn't matter if you have a car. The wifi signal is very weak in our room, and if i don't use the phone for 15mins, i have to re-login. I stayed there for one night and had typed my wifi user name and password for more than 10 times.
Review 11:The car park is free. The surrounding area is very quiet.
Review 12:Spacious room. English tv channels. Location good.
Review 13:Breakfast not worth it, pool closing at 7 PM
Review 14:Terace and view
Review 15:If you just need a place to sleep and not expect too much, you will have a room which is neat and clean.
Review 16:The room types are different but we have no idea. Both days we booked on booking and we did not notice the room differences. We felt like to fall from the heaven to the devil.
Review 17:The first night is perfect. The room is big with large balcony and computer. So we decided to stay one more night and we booked on booking. However the staff asked us to move to another room the second day because the room type is different. We were forced to move to a very small room. Even we agree to pay the extra 10 Euro they refused us to stay at the same room. So dissapointed for us.
Review 18:It's really a very good experience to stay in Le Verdon. Very high price value. The town is very quite and easy to reach all the nearby villages in Provence. I highly recommend to all.
Review 19:There is no more information about the spa in the website. After we arrived, it's too late to enjoy the spa. It's a pity we missed it.
Review 20:The room is very clean. People in the reception are very friendly and helpful.
Review 21:Everything was ok.... maybe the breakfast at 12 euro per person is a little bit pricey.
Review 22:Good value for money. Room and public areas spotlessly clean and very welcoming. This is our second time at the Verdon and surely not the last! Last time we took the Comfort Double Room which was very spacious. This time we took the Double room which is much smaller in size, but we were advised. For 1 night it didn't matter. The room was well equipped.
Review 23:The French habit of separating toilet from bathroom meant no handwasing facility in toilet room
Review 24:Lovingly restored hotel, clean and airy decor. Amazing view of forested countryside and village, ideally situated for visiting the lavender region of Valensole. Plus spa treatments, walks along the green river side, romantic provencal village with thursday market
Review 25:The curtain can't block sunlight.
Review 26:Quiet, adorable room, neat and tidy bathroom with bathrobe, nice to have a balcony. A small grocery store within walking distance.
Review 27:On departure we had to wait for more than half an hour just to have our check out processed.
Review 28:The hotel had everyting we were looking for, very clean and comfortable rooms, though a bit small.
Review 29:Beautiful village. We enjoyed our stay there. The room is clean.
