Reviews for Château de Mazan

Review 1:Service in the restaurant is maybe not to what one would expect in terms of professionalism in a 4 star hotel ( but this slight lag of attention is overcompensated by the quality of the food)

Review 2:Beautiful castle, typical French style with a lot of atmosphere! Definitely worth to take the dinner menu!!

Review 3:the luxury of the "savoir vivre" and not the superficial of shine, gold and aircos. the quietness at the breakfast outside. the discrete and very friendly staff and other guests.

Review 4:We didn't have the breakfast and felt it was overpriced (but we are not 'big breakfast people'). But we felt they could have a cheaper option than just the full breakfast.

Review 5:Very friendly, welcoming staff; great location for exploring the region (you need a car); food in the restaurant was really excellent; decor and artworks in hotel add a real charm - it has a timeless atmosphere; very nice gardens and pool - well managed.

Review 6:Personally I find 19 euros extra for breakfast too much.

Review 7:We were given a better room than we booked on the top floor with a steamshower and a wonderful view to the countryside and garden. The staff wasfriendly, the is a safe parking spot and an excellent restaurant.

Review 8:We had a heavy rain storm and the rain came in despite the windows being closed. It took three bath towels to mop it up. I was unaware the shutters needed to be closed to keep the rain out! In any case, I was out when it started to rain. The wifi didn't work in our room either.

Review 9:Interesting historic building. Good room and other facilities. Nothing much of interest in Mazan but as a base, many other places worth seeing are easily accessable.

Review 10:Tranquil stay in a quality environment with classic decor. Staff very helpful explaining the menu.

Review 11:Excellent friendly staff. Beautiful old chateau. Close to Mt Ventoux for cycling.

Review 12:Food was amazing. Location excellent. Views stunning. Bike parking and track pump! relaxing by the pool

Review 13:Seriously over priced breakfast. Evening meal not brilliant

Review 14:Atmosphere of the chateau

Review 15:Rooms pleasant if a little tired.Overall service did not reflect its prices.

Review 16:Excellent location for exploring the area. Beautiful terrace, good food.

Review 17:Bed was not comfortable! Too small room and rather basic

Review 18:Location was great and food was exceptional, although place was rather quirky!

Review 19:I would have liked the fruit served at breakfast to have been peeled!

Review 20:Staff, the chateau and the food at dinner.

Review 21:Very expensive for what it is. Decor needs updating. Slightly shabby.

Review 22:Breakfast pricey

Review 23:Quirky decor, lovely garden

Review 24:Completely refurbished. Secure car park. Breakfast very good extensive cold buffet. Evening meal excellent with very pleasant and attentive staff.

Review 25:The bed was most uncomfortable for two people It took ages to get a drink in the bar and to get a menu. Nearly gave up.

Review 26:The place and the chateau.

Review 27:The grounds are the beautiful and the chateau is beautifully decorated. Easy parking a lovely pool and great service made this a great place to stay

Review 28:everything

Review 29:I think our experience would have been better had we got a better room. We must have had the worst view in the hotel. The floor tiles were old and broken and I felt, dirty. We were also looking forward to eating at the renowned restaurant but it was closed. We did arrive about 8:30 pm however its not dark until 10:30. We did find a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant around the corner. I was underwhelmed and disappointed and it did not live up to its photos or reviews for us.

Review 30:the room was very small, the parking is not convenient , staff is giving just the minimum service, this hotel is too expensive for what it offers in a village, it only relies on the marquis de Sade legend, which is overrated

Review 31:Superior room was small, lacked essentials like shower curtain, bedside table, douvett cover, breakfast, very quiet town

Review 32:Quality of food, garden, car parking, chateau decoration

Review 33:Our only complaint was that we weren't told at check-in that dinnerin the restaurant is served at a specific time and is definitely byreservation only.

Review 34:We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived, and the room wasluxurious, large and beautiful. It was one of our best nights of sleepwe had on the trip. We also loved staying in a place with suchfascinating history.

Review 35:A kettle would have been nice in the bedroom.

Review 36:Lovely terrace for outside dining. Food was very good. Staff friendly & pleasant. Pleasant bedroom. Good breakfasts. Excellent pool.

Review 37:Relative discomfort of seating in outside spaces. Limited choice on menus.

Review 38:Friendly and efficient staff. Interesting cuisine. Historic and impressive building.

Review 39:The hotel was a bit loud in the room. Lots of slamming doors & activity. Not very soundproof. And the room was more basic than we expected. We stayed in a superior double.

Review 40:Only the weather and the tight car park for a big car like mine.

Review 41:Such friendly staff on arrival and at meal times. Food was very good, compliments to the Chef! Rooms are very quaint and sufficient. Nice little town as well.

Review 42:The room and double bed were small and not good value for money. The portions of the dinner were also small, and the menu not particularly interesting. The breakfast was overpriced for what it was.

Review 43:The gardens and the setting, and the good and friendly service both in reception and the restaurant.

Review 44:This hotel is a beautiful, old building with a delightful garden. The décor is romantic, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is superb.

Review 45:The amazing views from our top floor suite. A great gift to wake up to. Excellent dinner as well. A lovely hotel--would visit again.

Review 46:the beds are not very comfortable and a bit small for couples.

Review 47:Lovely interior design and a great garden

Review 48:The very good food;THE BEAUTIFUL GARDEN THE PARKING FACILITIES
