Reviews for Chalet du Mont d'Arbois
Review 1:Breakfast is excellent quality but very expensive for what is basically croissants, coffee & juice. lacks a 'proper bar'
Review 2:Terrific staff, beautiful rooms, fabulous restaurant
Review 3:Everything is great except maybe the wifi... just a bit slow .
Review 4:FAntastic comfort, like having your own chalet with 20 very attentive staff. The wine is unbeatable ( the whole area seems to belong to the Baron de Rothschild who has vineyards all over the world ...and you get served the very best of them ) . Great walks in the area , very well signposted .
Review 5:A few times our emails have not been responded to and the last time we went, they hadn't even acknowledged our booking because they hadn't checked their mail since the morning and we arrived in the evening. Had to look for staff when we were at the pool.
Review 6:Location,spa,pool,breakfast,rooms, decor, service in the restuarant area.
Review 7:We had a very small room and could hear sliding doors and noise that did stop eventually Nowhere to put suitcases or sit Bed not firm enough pillows too big and plump
Review 8:Beautiful chalet and views Very nice walk-in shower One very helpful lady at the desk, other staff not very competent or a bit brash, too ceremonial Nice swimming pool and terraces
Review 9:Maybe the breakfast is a little expensive (€28) for what you get...
Review 10:Everything in this hotel is of a very high level! Friendly staff, great room, nice spa,... The restaurant 1920 serves very good food for a reasonable price. I'll will return to this hotel!
Review 11:Absurd pricing for a simple cup of tea and toast - was charged full breakfast price of 28 E even though the staff knew the simple order was for my wife with an upset stomach. Will cause me to look elsewhere from now on!!
Review 12:Efficient staff, although somewhat stuffy. Location superb for hiking and skiing as you can walk to the lifts.
Review 13:2 soups & a salad (room service) = 130euro
Review 14:ambience
Review 15:We liked everything.
Review 16:Wonderful location and staff. Very comfortable room and facilities. Superb breakfast, although pricey.
Review 17:No prices on food and other serves until bill at end of stay
Review 18:Excellent staff - lovely views
Review 19:Service in the Restaurant (1920) was poor.
Review 20:We felt very welcome by a friendly staff. The restaurant was simply superb, delicious and well presented. The staff at the spa was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Review 21:They payment system was down and couldn't settle I we left the hotel early morning. The food served at their La Taverne was rather disappointing.
Review 22:Facility, location, comfort etc.
Review 23:Too many new builds being built near hotel so will probably end up being crowded in. A pity.
Review 24:The location, the setting, the food and the village centre.
Review 25:- driving distance from the center - our room was tiny and we have had non stop working washing machine noise all day long
Review 26:- beautiful and stylish 4* mountain hotel - very welcoming and helpful staff - free shuttle takes you to the ski slopes or the city center any time during the day - great sauna-swimming pool area
Review 27:size of the room (very very small); slow and low level of attentiveness of service (several times not helped on terras or in 'living room', even after asking!),
Review 28:rustic atmosphere
Review 29:It was had sime time to find someone to serve you a glass of wine. Even if we have asked, to evening in row we had to wait the first evening 30 minutes and the second evening 15 minutes
Review 30:The daily shuttle service provided to transport guests to the nearby ski slopes
Review 31:The website design doest not reflect the fantastic qualities ofthe Chalet.
Review 32:Harmony and peace. Amazing personable atmosphere. The best possibleservice: We felt personal guests of the Rothschild's family.
Review 33:For young children, the kitchen should make an effort to prepare the meal faster. 35 minutes wait is not acceptable for a 4-5 year old. That's my only negative point.
Review 34:Extremely courteous staff Beautiful room Great food Very nice facilities
Review 35:Our only complaint is that we might not be able to afford to stay again. We loved it, but it's pricey!
Review 36:The Chalet du Mont d'Arbois is an amazing place, in a great location close to the lifts and just above town. There is absolutely no way anyone can have a justifiable complaint about this place unless (a) you're a strident animal rights activist (as pretty much every guest is in head-to-toe fur), (b) you're wierded out by taxidermy (now I know why there are no sizeable animals in the French Alps -- they've all been killed and stuffed in this hotel), or (c) you don't have enough money to get in the door (as it costs a fortune, but you get what you pay for).
Review 37:No reading lights by bed . WIFI could work better . Pillows not as comfortable as might be
Review 38:The staff were very helpful , the position was great and the hotel has great charm
Review 39:Nothing
Review 40:Spa and restaurant food
Review 41:Everything !
Review 42:very fairy tale style, luxurious, beautiful hotel, great spa.
