Reviews for Aec Village Vacances - Les Cèdres

Review 1:Limited access to reception, restaurant & bar. Very limited access to coffee/tea or bottled water. Set up to cater for coach tour clients

Review 2:Lovely garden setting and large warm swimming pool. Friendly helpful staff

Review 3:This is senior home vacancy hotel - not for active young people

Review 4:This facility is used by senior homes adventure visits- this isimpossible to bit 120 people over 65 rushing for croissants , coffee andjuice - plus staff is always busy with these folks - so no way to gettheir attention . In additions - office is closed from 5pm -9am - sobecause of out early flight we have to climb. Over the fence (!) andlucky me I left the paper with the gate code in the car .. So I wouldnot recommend this place for active young people .

Review 5:Strange that in the the city of Soap and Parfume the shampoo and the shower gel is not included

Review 6:Lots of trees, beautiful pool and gym, good internal park for the car and generous breakfast. Room clean and great bed

Review 7:The room was fresh renovated with a snow white bathroom (beautiful) and a balcony where a table, two chairs and a dryer stand were placed. There is a marvelous view from the balcony across the valley, very good quality mountain water in the shower and fresh air.

Review 8:The documentation from Booking.com did not mention that check-in was notpossible before 5pm. No other hotel has such a ridiculous policy. Thiscompletely spoiled our visit. After pleading with a staff member (thereby accident, it seems) we were allowed in.

Review 9:This was a clean establishment.

Review 10:Way the balcony was arranged at an angle each balcony felt private. Grounds were informally arranged with flowers, trees and shrubs. As a mature adult I appreciated the fact that the other clients were also old.

Review 11:The property was a beautiful, relaxing garden setting and the rooms very clean and comfortable for two weary travelers. The breakfast was very generous and delicious.

Review 12:Checkin at 5pm (reception is closed) and checkout at 10am - would be fair to make checkout later since you want to check in later. Quite a long walk to the old town.

Review 13:Very comfortable and modern room. Beautiful garden and pool. Great views to the city. Good breakfast. Patio or balcony for each room. Not expensive bar. Free private parking.

Review 14:The toilette, separated in two small rooms were impractical, small, and smelled bad. (apparently no forced areation!)

Review 15:Quite silent. The staff was very kind.

Review 16:The kitchen was below our room, so it was a bit noisy at mealtimes. But did calm down by 9.30 pm.

Review 17:Location was good, parking on site, great room and wonderful bathroom facilities (The kitchen was below our room, so it was a bit noisy at mealtimes. But did calm down by 9.30 pm). The resort felt like it was in the country, not right in the centre!

Review 18:This is not a typical hotel: you cannot check-in/check-out between 10:00-17:00 because there is noone at the reception desk. No WIFI in the rooms.

Review 19:My review is marked by the fact that place primarely caters for retired people. A lot of activities and the ambiance is of course influenced by that fact.

Review 20:Nice view and pool. A good terrace to the room

Review 21:The room. Very small and very sober. No air-condition, no small fridge and the beds are small, you hit your head by the side-tables. The staff is not service-minded, because nobody speaks English. Everything is in France, even the room-location on map by evacuation and the daily activities. Also the breakfast is poor. There were not enough coffee and tea mugs and the orange-jus taste like water with a small tough of orange. And you must clean up your own stuff, it looks like Ikea!!!

Review 22:The garden and the pool.

Review 23:1. Normal check in till 20 p.m. We arrived at 20:10. There were keys and instructions for Monsieur X, Mme Y, but not for us. Fortunately I still found a trainee at the reception, who finally found (well hidden in the office) our key and instructions. If we had arrived later, we would not got in our room. 2. Our room was close to the kitchen where fridges/air conditioning were working all the time making lots of noise. 3. No air conditioning in the room. We were lucky that it was not hot. Otherwise we could have chosen why not to sleep : because of the noise (open window) or the heat (closed window) 4. Rude staff (if present at all). At the second morning at breakfast there was only sweet food that I cannot eat for health reasons. I could hardly find anyone to ask for some vegetables. Basically I was told that I was talking not to the right person (i.e. the cook) and that such "extra" things must have been asked before .However, 10 minutes later salads arrived. like it was the day before. 5. They charged my credit card in advance. At checking out I had to insist on receiving my bill. I had to pay in cash the local tax, but was not given the receipt. 6. Only a small peace of soap (no shampoo or shower gel) was provided. 7. No minibar/fridge in the room. 8. In the restaurant cutlery was dirty. No cups for tee at all. 9. They think that everybody MUST speak French. If someone does not do that well enough he treated accordingly. Even the written intructions, how to get in the room are written in French and in brackets (!!!) they gave the English translation. My best advise is that you should keep away of this place! They charge awful lot for a very low level service.

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:The room was comfortable and quite. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, it was very special. Nice view from the room. Staff was very helpful. The food was plenty and fine.

Review 26:The rooms need upgrading. Reception closes for a long period during the day.

Review 27:The staff were extremely helpful. Couldn't fault them.

Review 28:great staff and facilities

Review 29:the time has gone over this hotel, proper but more than used

Review 30:the location near by Grass

Review 31:A very big swiming pool that kids will love. The Hotel manager is you man. He is that could find solutions, and makes your stay very confortable.

Review 32:-sometime can be noisy

Review 33:- the view from the restaurant area - beautiful gardens - french breakfast

Review 34:excellent value, very helpful staff , very good value buffet style meals and only 15 mins. walk to Grasse

Review 35:The room setup was basic but clean. What you would expect for the price.

Review 36:The staff were great!! Especially Remi. Nice facilities and very relaxing atmosphere.

Review 37:No English TV Channel......NO TRANSLATION AT THE RECEPTION, DINNING AREA ETC You should acknowledge that you are not only catering for French visitors only. Very dissappointing on these.

Review 38:Everything.....We can never regret staying here, the receptionist was very kind in situations. The director always went out his way to assist us due to the language barrier. The animation team are so friendly and so fresh. It felt like a village. The food was so so comfortable and healthy for all ages. The enviroment very homely and not severe. Generally it was very welcoming without all the fuss of hotels.

Review 39:In Grasse you need a car to get out in the countryside and to the coast. Grasse town is a bit of a rundown place with not much going for it except perfume museums. Restaurants aren't that great either.

Review 40:Quite location. 10 minute walk to centre. Swimming pool was fantastic. Food was good quality although not fantastic range (but it is a buffet!) and relatively cheaper than eating out. Very good for economical holiday. They even provide tours to the sites away from Grasse if you don't want to use a car. The organised events are typical of Club Med type hotels - so excellent way of keeping people busy.

Review 41:The hours that the reception desk was open wasn't helpful as I had to wait over an hour in the afternoon to register. I also had to make special arrangements for a colleague who was due to arrive at about 9.00 pm

Review 42:The close proximity to where I needed to be in town and the space in the lounge and restaurant areas was very good. In summer the facilities would have been excellent for guests, with the outside bar and pool area.

Review 43:Opening hours of reception (which is closed between 12.30-17.00 hrs). It can get noisy at the pool with the entertainment activities during a few times a day.

Review 44:The complex is situated just outside Grasse, wrapped around beautiful gardens and a nice pool, beautiful location, mostly quiet, lovely staff and food is value for money.

Review 45:No hairdryer or shampoo/shower gel in the room.Several coach trips staying so noisy by 6.30am.

Review 46:Pleasant hotel with good facilities & patio area for after dinner drinks. Decent breakfast.

Review 47:Filthy dirty rooms 2 hand towels onlyfor 2 adults Bedding digusting, pillows stained & rank carlet & bathroom floor filthy Shower impossible to negotiate out of safely, bathrrom too small Windows filthy No staff available and bar closed for staff to have 'dinner' when should be open. We were ignored by bar staff

Review 48:Nothing- would never, ever book here again. Disgusted. If payment had not been taken 2 months prior when we booked we would have walked out.

Review 49:The rooms are very basic and bathroom far too small. No wifi in rooms , only at reception area and bar. No airconditioning available. We requested a double or queen bed - not notified to say the hotel only provides single beds in every room! The standard of the rooms does not match the quality of the rest of the property.

Review 50:The pools, gardens and the views were all amazing. Easy 20 minute walk to Grasse Centreville. The buffet dinner was great value and the bar area was very relaxing and prices were very reasonable. Great balcony to take in the spectacular views over Grasse.

Review 51:Tried to call before the reception closing time 19.30, as we were running late, but got no answer. As a result, luckily a gentleman staying got one of the restaurant staff to let us in as the gates were shut and coded (didn't have the code). Didn't know that restaurant shut at 20.30 ( we got there at 20.15) and because we didn't have a ticket couldn't make last orders, which we weren't told about. We weren't told there were no tea/coffee facilities. Basically were not told of opening times of eating and bar facilities. Wouldn't stay here again, as we need tea and coffee when we arrive after a long days motorcycle ride ..... It would be fine for others.

Review 52:Where it was situated and could get out and about to other areas. when we sampled the buffet it was excellent and good food and good price

Review 53:It is not a hotel for travelers. It is meant for families or groups who are making excursions and have meals at the facility. It should be better explained and not be listed as a hotel for the general public

Review 54:Grounds very nice

Review 55:Everything. The setting, in a huge ancient park, full of flowers andsnug little corners, with in its midst a wonderful big pool.Breathtaking view over the hills until the sea. Excellent value formoney. Tip: buffet dinner is offered at 15€/P. It is not a hotel inthe classical sense; seems to be rather a foundation, aimed at offeringtime out to all parts of society.

Review 56:The restaurant worked so that you have to buy the dinner in advance. More suitable for groups than individuals.

Review 57:Very nice hotel with a swimming pool and garden area. Rooms very basic and clean. Good for families and older people.

Review 58:Outdated furnishing . Dark rooms

Review 59:Pool and gardens. Value meals

Review 60:j'aime bien sa view

Review 61:Check in as of 17h Rude personel which does not provide the necessary info -for example breakfast timings

Review 62:Free early check in

Review 63:Staff very nice and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Nice views.

Review 64:The dirty cover and no electric and upon complaining we were then asked for E4 tax!

Review 65:The view from the balcony was stunning

Review 66:They dont clean the room I had to wash the floor, and they charge thetowels to clean 7.00 euro

Review 67:The garden is big and clean and a lot of roses

The Fine Print
