Reviews for Casa del Castillo

Review 1:Wonderful view, amazing and very helpful and friendly staff, all set atop a gorgeous city in a beautiful region. Could not ask for a a better place to stay. I will be back for certain.

Review 2:The only minus was the lack of coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 3:The room was very comfortable and the decor was lovely. The welcome was warm and the breakfast was great. The location was perfect for exploring Siguenza.

Review 4:We had an issue with the WiFi in our room, but it came good after the repeater was rebooted.

Review 5:This modern guest house is located in this interesting old town right near the castle. The hosts were very friendly and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. Besides the castle, the town had a beautiful cathedral and various other convents, seminaries, etc.

Review 6:Sadly our night was spoilt by horrendous noise from a party nearby which went till 7am. Drunken voices loud thumping beat of disco, & shouting went on for hours. It seems wrong that the Police were not called to intervene in this case.It spoilt our lovely night but the accommodation was superb

Review 7:Beautiful room, very clean & comfortable .lovely host

Review 8:We would be wary of staying again in high summer. We left the windows open to cool the room down, and I - a light sleeper - had to battle with the church clock striking every hour and the quarters throughout the night, plus the Madrid-Barcelona train driver who evidently thinks it's fun to blast his hooter at length as he tears by at four o clock in the morning. Maybe earplugs are the answer.

Review 9:A warm professional welcome by owner Isabel, good quality fittings, towels and bed linen. Plenty of parking on the square just around the corner. Easy enough to find, just look for the castle. Good breakfast - NOT a buffet - served with a smile. Siguenza is an attractive town, with good bars and restaurants.

Review 10:Building work on the house opposite started early . It was about 4 metres away . Not really a complaint .just bad timing .

Review 11:A pleasure to walk into a room that reeks of class . Lovely design touches everywhere . Superb bathroom .Right at the castle in an old stone building . Short walk downhill to centre village .A most helpful and friendly host .

Review 12:Very compact shower / toilet area.

Review 13:We have spent an extended time touring Spain and this was the first Casas Rurales property. It was excellent. The hosts were very welcoming and provided us a lovely breakfast each morning. We enjoyed our touring especially walking in the natural park on the rio Dulce and watching the soaring vultures and other bird life.

Review 14:The host is both professional and nice. She has set the room up well and given thought to the quality of the fittings etc. The village is lovely and the view from the room very nice. We enjoyed staying here and slept well (excluding jetlag).

Review 15:The paper thin walls. Whilst modern which was great you could hear everything from the next room.

Review 16:The situation and value for money

Review 17:Spacious room with underfloor heating! Good linen & comfortable bed. Breakfast more than adequate. Excellent wifi.

Review 18:Lovely helpful staff.Nice room clean and warm.Nice breakfast.Situated in a lovely medieval town.

Review 19:Very clean, good breakfast Easy to find, and free parking nearby

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:Beautifully renovated old house just across from the Parador.

Review 22:Quite difficult to park the car

Review 23:A very warm welcome Comfortable room with plenty of space. Adequate breakfast, but excellent coffee.

Review 24:Small hotel right near the Castillo. Isabel the host was very helpful telling me what to see and where to eat in Siguenza. Room was plainly furnished but very comfortable and clean.

Review 25:The ersatz orange juice for breakfast - but I have to say that is more often provided than the fresh version. But why not fresh?

Review 26:The really friendly welcome and concern that I should be comfortable.

Review 27:The chocolate-flavoured liquid soap at the sink. The lack of a shelf around the sink for personal toiletries. The bidet lacked both soap and small towel. The lack of open restaurants in the village on the night of our stay. We finally ate in the Parador and enjoyed an excellent meal in their beautiful restaurant.

Review 28:The unique building, so beautifully restored and modernised. Our bedroom and private facilities were super. The excellent wifi connection. Our host, who took the time to welcome us and give us a tasty breakfast.

Review 29:If you prefer a more intimate and informal stop over as opposed to mainstream humdrum Hotels then this is the place for you, very cozy, modern and a warm kind of Guest House in a great location just minutes walk from restaurants, shops, bars and the main square. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are very mellow and elegant, the breakfasts are scummy and satisfying, and you have free parking right on your doorstep. What more do you want? One word of advice for us British tea lovers...we took up on previous advisors comments made about no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and took our own travel kettle and this suited us perfect. That saying the coffee served up at breakfast was simply delicious ....have that with the tomato and jamon on toast and you will be indulged! NB; Hairdyer, towels, shampoo, shower gel are all provided along with a fresh jug of water in your room for your own consumption. The rooms at the top have a wonderful view over the town and hills

Review 30:Casa del Castillo was well located in the old part of Sigüenza very near the castle. Great breakfast, made to order in traditional Spanish style.
