Reviews for Hotel Sercotel Portales

Review 1:Wifi wasn't the best but they tried. Parking price but there's free parking across the way and they'll tell you where.

Review 2:The location could not be beat! You could stuff yourself silly with pintxos and wine, walk back to your room within a few minutes to rest and do it all over again!

Review 3:On-site parking is rather expensive, and difficult, via a car lift that we must use without assistance. Very few power points in the room.

Review 4:Excellent location close to the old town

Review 5:Great location . Arrived during San Mateo Festiva. City was one huge party. Hotel located right at the entrance of the main street where the festival is celebrated.

Review 6:Car parking not ideal if your car is fairly big. Accessed by a lift and spaces are rather cramped particularly if you are in right hand drive car and given a space next to a wall as we were which made it very difficult to get out of car. Staff were helpful but only difficult spaces were available. We managed!

Review 7:Excellent location very close to old town and all the tapas bars. Lovely big room with great bathroom. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and option of bacon , egg and sausage made for you on request. We had this and it was made for us with only a few minutes to wait.

Review 8:Stayed during the San Mateo wine festival. A stage was directly outside the hotel facing my room. Bands played loudly till 3.30 AM every night. Even with earplugs it kept me awake. The bed also gave me terrible back ache.

Review 9:The hotel was modern and clean .

Review 10:Avoid the hotel parking (expensive, tiny, underground car park) BUT there is a free above ground car park almost across the street, so it is not a problem really.

Review 11:Location - central, perfect

Review 12:Access is difficult, using pedestrian routes and not well directed by GPS devices. parking is via a very narrow lift barely suitable for SUV´s

Review 13:The hotel is well located for the old town

Review 14:very well located place. Very good nearby or underground parking. We also stayed in centre (only minutes walk away) and that was very noisy so we preferred this place. Excellent breakfasts. Staff very helpful about keeping our luggage all day. Very good value for money.

Review 15:Room very small and claustrophobic, and little space for suitcases. Breakfast staff not very friendly and breakfast very basic. Room service food of very poor quality. No staff available to help with luggage.

Review 16:Reception friendly and helpful

Review 17:Walls were a little thin and you do hear people in the corridors.

Review 18:Staff were very friendly and informative. Elisa and the team at reception were very helpful and efficient in checking us in and out. Location was perfect for us. Not far from bus station to get to the airport and right beside the pedestrian area full of bars, cafes, Tapas and shopping. Perfect for a pick me up post Camino.

Review 19:Some noisy customers early hours one night but I guess you get that anywhere

Review 20:Great location. Perfect for what we needed. Just opposite is the tourist information.

Review 21:We did not get a fried breakfast, waitress did not seem to understand us. We were given 1 plate of disgusting looking scrambled egg. It did not look cooked. The rest of the breakfast was satisfactory

Review 22:Friendly reception staff

Review 23:Was double charged for a night - was told it was because there was a "festival" in town. No such event - they just took advantage of an error. Really disappointing.

Review 24:Initial trouble with GPS finding said location.

Review 25:Location, location, location. Great value for La Rioja and more restaurants, taparias and wine bars than we could visit in four days.

Review 26:El desayuno bufet un poco justo. No hay diversidad de fruta.

Review 27:Está en el centro, cerca de la zona de tapas. El servicio es correcto y las habitaciones amplias. Tiene una buena relación calidad-precio.

Review 28:Had internet access problems that were not resolved

Review 29:Bed was Ok for us both particularly myself being rather tall location good for good restaurants and the Tappas bars Excellent breakfast included Parking at underground facility solved the parking problems

Review 30:no view just another side of the building but we did pay for budget room. parking in underground hotel car park is about 12 euro and literally across the street its free.

Review 31:pleasantly surprised by this cheap hotel. was basic but perfect for us. we got the breakfast the next day and was also great value for money. logrono itself seemed to be very cheap place and we really enjoyed our night here.

Review 32:The window opened up on a courtyard which was filled with strong cooking smells from adjoining apartments.

Review 33:Location and staff were excellent! Breakfast buffet was an excellent value.

Review 34:We were at the hotel during harvest time and had to contend with super loud music right on our doorstep until about 4.30am. Not funny when you have a 6 hour drive the next day. Breakfast was average.

Review 35:Great location and paking on site.

Review 36:Upon entry to check in, nobody at the reception and very dark, no lights on. Not very inviting at all. The mini bar consisted of 4 bottles of water, one coca cola, packet of crisps and one beer. Frankly not much of a mini bar to my mind. The room we had was looking out on to a vast concrete wall, the back of very poor apartments and quite noisy with dogs barking and kids screaming. Honestly would not stay there again which is disappointing as I had cancelled two other hotels to stay at this one because it seemed to be better. I would say more of an overnight for 'businessmen' than anything else. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Review 37:Very central to the old town but this is just full of tourists which I guess is expected in a place like this. Breakfast was quite good, fresh coffee, not out of a machine. Bedroom clean, bathroom okay with plenty of the usual shampoos etc. Not much more to like actually.

Review 38:Apart from the location we were very pleased with the friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel is a clean, cool and comfortable place for weary travelers to unwind and visit the beautiful plazas of Logrono and ,of course, it is right beside the historic Pinchos/tapas district of the old city. The camino way is directly outside this hotel which gives good value at a fair price.

Review 39:Had no problems with it.

Review 40:Staff very nice, location excellent, wifi fine. Gorgeous town, well worth a visit for fabulous tapas and vino aplenty just around corner from hotel. If you're arriving by train, don't expect a taxi to always be available, esp on Sunday PM! There is a number on a sign at the taxi rank that you can call. Little cafe a few doors away that does lovely brekkie too.

Review 41:parking was a bit tricky and would not have liked to have had a bigger car. however we did know of the lift arrangement but had not encountered it before . not really a negative but need to be aware

Review 42:location was great. staff very helpful and friendly. room was pleasant and very clean

Review 43:The hotel is situated in the centre of the old town. It's excellent, clean, comfortable and has its own parking. We were lucky enough to arrive at Fiesta time which was incredible and we could watch much of it from our bedroom window!
