Reviews for Deltour Hôtel St Flour
Review 1:Arrived with the old city looming majestically over us - but then downhill from there. Booked on line and choose one of the two options -sound proof room. Aware it was a budget on the cheaper range hotel butdefinitely expected better- while one may expect to get what you pay for-you don't expect the following. Received keys to room 300 -downstairs below the ground floor. Once inside the room - noticing theodour in the corridor - unpacked to find a water sodden carpet in theoutside/wall corner of the room. Asked reception to check in case itwas from shower/toilet next door- as receptionist checked out thewet carpet, we all noticied the large blisters in the paint on the walland water dribbling down. No upgrade offered - or upstairs offered butan offer to go to the next room- on the other side of the same wet wall.We declined and moved the bed over, knackered after a long drive. Outfor a meal [?the smell in the corridor was from damp] Then back forquite a good nights sleep in ok beds - to be awoken in our sound proofedroom by the constant scarping and banging from 7am!!! Not until we wentup for breakfast did we realize we were under the kitchen and dining room-and as each diner moved a chair, the noise on the tiles transmitted tothe rooms below. Ps look out for the shower - round shower base but norail or curtain and the bathroom quickly becomes a swimming pool nomatter how much care you take. No one at front reception on leaving toprovide feedback. Only a tin to drop your keys in. But on leaving- wegot another look at that great view.
Review 2:Location
Review 3:nothing
Review 4:We had a room with a bed on the main floor and also stairs to an upstairs which had twin beds . Our daughter and our two grandchildren had the same. Hotel is midway between upper and lower town and picturesque.
Review 5:No shower curtain, no light bulbs, shower dirty, After booking in and reading reviews to find out that the light bulbs and shower curtain was missing in 2012
Review 6:Go down in to village next door to Tabac shop lovely bar, coffee shop very friendly and helpful
Review 7:The reception is fully automatic as. Of 6pm. This means that should you have any problem, there is really no one to turn to. The facility is not air conditioned and fans are not available because there is no one to ask for them. The rooms are small and hot, and the only method of avoiding the heat is to open the window. The hotel sits right over the highway, and the result was that we had very little sleep. Our advice is not to use this hotel in the summertime.
Review 8:Budget
Review 9:No bedside lights No shower curtain Safari and Chrome both refused Wifi access with a note that the setup was insecure.
Review 10:The situation, the central heating
Review 11:Poor breakfast. Little coffee. Little milk. No orange, machine empty. Couissants straight from oven, too hot to eat. had to ask for milk, coffee, orange and couissants.
Review 12:Hot water finished very quickly. Toilet paper actually consists of some small napkins in a "box" that was pretty hard to use. Wireless was a bit slow.
Review 13:Good place to sleep if you need a break from highway A75. Great location, beautiful old little town, very nice view to the hill with the old town and cathedral. Parking gate is locked after 9 pm which made me feel safe.

Review 24:Very nice family room with twin beds on separate mezzanine floor.
Review 25:Great location.
Review 26:Bed, road noise
Review 27:Staff, breakfast and location
Review 28:very tired accommodation and small room had to stand still if partner wanted to pass by to other side of room
Review 29:Town was lovely
Review 30:Short walk to cafes, restaurants. Plenty of storage area in room. Free parking on site.
Review 31:Needed car to get dinner
Review 32:Position, easily found from autoroute, very pretty place
Review 33:The entrance needs to be more defined especially in the dark .....
Review 34:The View !!!! Breakfast : )
Review 35:Proximity to autoroute
Review 36:ST FLOUR
Review 37:SECURE PARKING
Review 38:location parking clean staff good kebab place near
Review 39:A bit basic, but, not a lot really.
Review 40:proximity to the a75 security views of the high village.
Review 41:no wi-fi though it was supposed to be available. rather shabby
Review 42:Needs a little updating/decorating. No shower curtain and bathroom floor got wet!!!
Review 43:Easy access and plenty of parking. Excellent size room.
Review 44:Position close to Autoroute
Review 45:Good location. Lovely village with good selection of cafés restaurants.
Review 46:There was no one at the reception to check us in after 6 PM. Had to ask help from a guest to contact personnel.
Review 47:Perfect location because of the view of the town and very near the commercial center.
Review 48:Not keen on surrounding area, in Oct. it was difficult to find anywhere decent to eat on a Saturday eve. The hilltop town looked better from a distance!
Review 49:Typical budget hotel, secure parking. Breakfast ok. Good WiFi.
Review 50:not good if you are not fit enough to walk up to town, its a good climb
Review 51:exactly what i needed for the reason i was in St Flour close to some bars and resturants a good base for the weekend
Review 52:The short checking in window that meant that lots of travellers arrived at the same time. Our room downstairs looked directly onto the car park ( you could at least pass luggage in and out the window) which meant no privacy. Staff efficient but not welcoming, especially after declining breakfast. (Understand that hotel does not pay commission to Booking.com on breakfast! )
Review 53:The position. From the car park you looked across to the hilltop town of St Flour, which is an impressive sight.
Review 54:No adverse comments.
Review 55:The welcoming smile on the face of the receptionist when we booked in plus the ample space available in our apartment compared with our previous overnight stop in St. Flour two weeks earlier. The great views from the breakfast room towards St. Flour Old Town on top of the hill opposite. A good value hotel for an overnight stop or possibly for a longer stay.
Review 56:It was a very chilly evening and the bars in town appeareduninviting. We did eventually find somewhere to eat but choice ofrestaurant was limited. If we had not been so tired after driving allday we would have ventured into the old town which looked very prettyon the top of the hill.
Review 57:Hotel was very convenient for a stopover on our journey down France. Itwas extremely good value for money. The receptionist was very helpfulbut spoke no English. Breakfast items were excellent quality but limitedin number. St Flour is extremely picturesque, we would like to go backto the area and spend some time exploring.
Review 58:We arrived at the hotel around 22.00hrs to find the gate to the car parklocked. The only way to release it was to check-in and get a room key.Reception was also closed (closes around 18.30hrs) and we had problemswith the automatic check-in machine outside the hotel. We ended upcalling the emergency contact number on the door and waiting for someoneto come and help. This entire process took around 15-20 mins which isnot what you need when you've had a long day travelling and just want ahot drink and bed.
Review 59:Reasonable price for basic room, friendly hotel.
Review 60:Dog-friendly budget hotel. Lovely views, 5 mins walk from town centre with restaurants, bars and take-away. Secure parking, clean budget room, plentiful continental breakfast
Review 61:If there is any kind of festival going on in St Flour you will hear it until at least midnight!!
Review 62:Great family rooms with the kids up in the roof bedroom. Good breakfast buffet. Great location near the town and near the motorway.
Review 63:We were in a room in the back of the hotel facing the road, it was very noisy. You had to sleep with the window closed and there was no fan, it was really hot. To cool the room down in the evening before we slept we had the window open with the curtain closed (no fly screen). This turned out to be disasterous as they have rather stupidly placed a flourescent light right outside the window which attracted thousands of insects- the room was full of them. The bathroom was ok but their was no shower curtain so with four people showering there was water all over the floor. I know it was fairly cheap but they could really improve things at little cost I.e. fan, fly screen and shower curtain Will be stopping in st four again, but not in this hotel
Review 64:It was fairly cheap. We like the town it is situated in
Review 65:The petit dejeuner was very basic and croissants were burned almost black. The shower was not curtained off and hence the bathroom floor was flooded with water.
Review 66:Breakfast for 6 euro or maybe it was 6.50, is probably a bit high. Youcan get the same for less at a patisserie, I think. The usualcontinental breakfast stuff.
Review 67:Location was good, since our purpose was just an overnight whiletraveling north to south. It's just off the a-75 (I think it's the a-75)at St. Flour, which is an amazing sight and city. We had a great view ofthis impressive city from our room. We didn't know that DelTour is oneof the chains where you can check in without a clerk, like F1's orBalladin'S. It was about that quality, which is fine for overnights. Wewould stay there again because of the location.
Review 68:flexibility to only stay one night whilst we had booked two.
Review 69:Good, clean basic, cheap!
Review 70:Was a bit dated
Review 71:The price
Review 72:Room too small to enable both sides of double bed to have a bedside table or reading lamp
Review 73:Good price and helpful staff
Review 74:breakfast was a expensive at 6Euro's each, for what was offered.
Review 75:ideal location, just off the motorway, very clean and tidy, and the wifi worked.
Review 76:The hotel reception shut at 2100
Review 77:Cheap and easy to book
Review 78:It was basic, clean & a good breakfast. Bed comfortable.
Review 79:Within easy reach of lovely walled town of St. Flour, with good restaurants.
Review 80:Could have been cleaner in the room.
Review 81:Easy access from the Autoroute, ability to sleep 2 adults & 2 kids inseprate beds.
Review 82:very friendly hotel clean & comfortable nice breakfast
Review 83:Proximity to town. Staff pleasant and helpfull
