Reviews for Lou Paradou
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Very helpful staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Tasty french breakfast. The location is near to the awesome "Gorges du Verdon". Ample private parking.
Review 3:nothing bad at all!
Review 4:This hotel is wonderful. We've traveled a lot and this one is of the cleanest we've been too ever. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy greoux-les-bains; we would recommend it to anyone anytime.
Review 5:nada. We would have stayed longer than a single night but its kind of far from the Provence locations we wanted to visit
Review 6:3 stars but feels more like 4. Run by a very nice lady who speaks great English, that gave us plenty of info and recommendations for the area (restaurant - try Le Patio!). She also has a great eye for design - and its obvious from the hotel and room look and feel. Also the room and facilities were high end and well maintained
Review 7:There is a nice well maintained pool and a pretty garden. It's a peaceful setting. The rooms are sweet and the beds are comfortable. Some rooms have a lovely view.
Review 8:Grinding the place is difficult as satnavs send you miles away. The hotel is aware of this so it should be in the information.
Review 9:Receptionist was excellent
Review 10:wifi was very vey weak...
Review 11:very good experience and nice memories for us. It is located in a small peaceful and convenient town and about 40min to saint cross lake by car. The old lady boss is very friendly I really like her. Btw, swimming pool is nice.
Review 12:While the wifi was good, you had to log on every time you wanted to use it.
Review 13:The staff were lovely and full of suggestions of places to visit. The swimming pool was very welcome as it was extremely hot while we were there. The air conditioning was noisy but worked very well. The breakfast was good value- was nice to have a toaster! We liked having a fridge in the room too. The town had heaps of great restaurants.
Review 14:Everything was wonderful.
Review 15:My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Lou Paradou in July 2015. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful with our itinerary and gave us several maps which helped us navigate the area. The room and common areas are impeccably clean and the pool is perfect during the hot summer months. We highly recommend it.
Review 16:Would be perfect if the hotel could provide a detailed driving direction.
Review 17:Annick is very nice and kind, she could provide good information and advice for sightseeing. Hotel property is well-maintained with excellent pool and environment. Although the room that we stayed was small, it was cosy and handy. The kitchen had all the equipment for preparing meal.
Review 18:Took us some time to find the place because we didn't pay attention to the sign in the town center roundabout. The owners are really nice and helpful, excellent stay and very convenient to all the activities in town
Review 19:Nothing!
Review 20:One of the best hotels that we have visited. It looks wonderful & very stylish at first sight, and then you wouldn't be disappointed: you'll find very smart planned room, cosy and bright, with everything you may need (nice kitchenette & tea making facilities), very comfortable bed. Room is really clean, with high standard. Hotel is perfectly located for visiting lavender fields. Also for me was important good internet connection But the main brilliant is hotel's owner - Annick. She is very welcoming, helpful and making everything that you feel like home at this hotel. Finally we even changed our travel's plans and returned to this place again!
Review 21:Quaint hotel with excellent customer service. The rooms were generously sized and had comfortable beds. Local amenities were also easy to get to on foot.
Review 22:Couldn't find anything wrong with hotel.
Review 23:Everything was lovely. It is an old very French hotel, a few minutes walk to centre and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds, room had everything you need. Looked a nice pool, didn't use it.
Review 24:The welcome from the reception was very friendly and the room was spotless, with a balcony and a useful little kitchen area. The locality is quiet but very close to shops, cafés and restaurants, and there are plenty of walks to do locally so one can leave the car in the large car park.
Review 25:Studio was basic but well equipped, very clean with a lovely shower room. Nice swimming pool. Good location for exploring the region but the town was nothing special. Small supermarket nearby
Review 26:None
Review 27:I've been travelling in France for 2 weeks and this hotel is the best of hotels I've stayed and definitely the most friendly and helpful staff I've met in this trip. No problem in speaking English! There are good cooking facilities for cooking in the room too.
Review 28:The bed should be placed better.
Review 29:It was a pity that we only stayed 1 night. The building looks like an old villa and the dining hall like a country house. However, the room was newly renovated. It was very comfortable to stay in the room. I was satisfied with equipment and utensil in the kitchen and amenity goods in the bathroom.
Review 30:Breakfast service could be improved, with a pot of coffee or tea being served instead of individual cups, and having to be served a second time
Review 31:Tea making facilities in the room + kitchenette Made very welcome when we arrived and given help with finding restaurants for dinner
Review 32:Road layout very difficult around hotel so hard to locate.
Review 33:Lovely spa village, and hotel suits the place. Quaint old world atmosphere. The good kitchen in room would be great for a long stay. Plenty of parking for guests. Good selection for breakfast. Staff always helpful and multilingual.
Review 34:1. Hotel is located in a relax and peaceful small town. Easy access to everything. 2. Hotel room is neat and clean, with a lovely garden. 3. Hotel facilities are lovely, full set of kitchen equipment. 3. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Overall, very good experience here!
Review 35:My Wife and I spent six nights in a room with a park view. The residential hotel is quiet and well located for the town. Very clean and an attentive staff. Great pool area. Will definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise
Review 36:Everything was perfect and there was nothing we didn't like. One guest criticized in his review the noise of the air condition, but we were fine with the silent and monotone sound and slept very well.
Review 37:You can walk to the town centre within about 5 min. Nevertheless, the hotel is a quiet cosy place. So, we felt very comfortable and stayed there in a superior studio for 2 weeks. The superior studios contain an extra table which is perfect if you like to use the very well equipped kitchenette. You can choose for every single day if you like to have breakfast or not (starting at 8:30 am). The variety of the breakfast buffet is not very big, but we really enjoyed the high-quality food and beverages very much - especially the homemade jams and fruit syrups!
Review 38:We came just for a couple of days but wished we could have stayed longer. The town is absolutely charming and the hotel itself is marvellous: impeccably clean, stylish, green and quite! We found our apartment to be a very convenient place to cook with all the necessary kitchen utensils just where they are supposed to be. Breakfast which can be easily arranged was good too, with fresh crusty croissants and lavender honey which I just loved! But even taking into account a beautiful garden and vicinity to picturesque provencal landscapes the best thing about this hotel is probably the stuff! Everybody was very friendly. A special thank you goes to Annick who was ever so ready to help even if it gave her a bit of a trouble! Following her advice we rented electric bikes to explore the region and spent a perfect and really satisfying day full of lavender, alpine views, fascinating towns and peaceful rural scenes!!!
Review 39:The only thing is that there is not a airconditioner in the room. It was a little bit hot and humid at that night which made a not very good sleep for us. But I think it was because of the weather and it should be OK normally.
Review 40:The hotel is clean, cozy and the owner of the hotel as well as the staffs are very friendly. The room we lived has some cooking facilaties which is very convenient. The environment is perfect.
Review 41:- sleeping comfort: air condition very loud - wifi: interrupts frequently, bad connection in the room
Review 42:- location: closed to centre but quiet - staff: friendly, but not intrusive; helpful for children - area: beautiful garden around the pool
Review 43:the entrance to a second floor in my room. There is lots of historical sculpture in the room. You will be used to them from the second day - actually it is wonderful!
Review 44:Perfect view!
Review 45:we're not able to stay a bit longer.
Review 46:1. The young lady at the reception desk is very helpful. Although we do not know how to speak french, she tried her best to give us as many help as possible, for example clear road instruction to town, etc. 2. We checked out the next day and bumped into the owner, a very kind, generous, and lovely woman. when we see her, we have an immediate sense that this beautiful boutique hotel represents the taste of the owner. She is happy to share the history of the hotel, her own travel experience, etc. 3. About 10-15 min nice walking to the center of town. 4. many free parking lots right next to the main door. 5. The room is considered big if compared to the other hotels we stayed in France. Additionally, the small kitchen is well equipped. We also found an unused 50 ml olive oil and some seasonings beside the stove. We're not sure if they were left by the previous customer or provided by the hotel. If it was provided by the hotel, this would be the best I have ever seen in the hotel rooms coming with a kitchen.
Review 47:The wifi signal was not very robust in the rooms, but we should be perfectly able to survive in the Provence without wifi, so no major problem.
Review 48:This is a really cute hotel, decorated in the Provenzal style, very well located to visit the amazing lavander fields surrounding Valensole. Rooms were large, very nicely furbished, and a very comfortable bed.The staff of the hotel was extremely kind and helpful, and the whole stay was very satisfactory.
Review 49:nothing! wish can stay longer! and if the wifi won't drop off automatic and need to enter pin every time that would be perfect!
Review 50:I love stay in Lou Paradou. The host is nice and helpful! we got warm welcome when we get there at night. Give us information about the lavande field and we did had a good time!!! They have a nice pool and garden and wifi is good! definitely will recommend other to stay with them!

Review 55:Very friendly owner, very helpful in telling us the best locations to see.
Review 56:Had 3 nights here to start our holiday touring south of France, really relaxing peaceful place to help unwind into holiday mode!

Review 60:Location is good with 5 minutes walk to town centre
Review 61:we had three rooms and wifi only worked in one
Review 62:friendly, clean, good location
Review 63:Cozy and comfortable stay. The hotel is really nice and quiet.
Review 64:You have to clean the apartment I told just the kitchen would be our responsibility
Review 65:Nice hotel near the wonderful Lavander fields
Review 66:Rooms with kitchen and private terrace a big plus. Pool area very nice. Hotel grounds attractive.
Review 67:The room and the pool
Review 68:Lack of breakfast cereal choice and all too sugary. No healthy choice.
Review 69:The garden and swimming pool.
Review 70:Surely come to this place and enjoy the owners and the rooms in a castle 1000 years old
Review 71:no microwave in the room but in the aisle.
Review 72:almost everything.frindly reception,cleaning,scenery.etc.
Review 73:nice & tidy, very comfortable hotel, wifi speed is good, I will recommend it
Review 74:Having a kitchenette for preparing snacks and making tea. The space in the room.
Review 75:Nice place, very beautifully hotel..
Review 76:none
Review 77:Free parking lot, friendly reception, cute kitchenette, romance atmosphere in 70s ~ 90s.
Review 78:Staff very helpfull and flexible. Very cute provance style room. Big parking space
Review 79:feels more like a motel of the past century than a place of charm
Review 80:the breakfast
Review 81:主人是一位非常优雅的法国老太太。早餐十分美味
Review 82:Breakfast was disappointing and overpriced.
Review 83:Location
Review 84:everything
Review 85:nice location, great nature and the best place for trip in nearby places
Review 86:Very difficult to find maybe because we were directed by an unreliable GPS.
Review 87:Comfortable and quite. Small but nice pool.
Review 88:Swiming pool should be cleaned more frequently
Review 89:Staff very profissional, localization, decoration of the hotel and th room.the heated swimming pool
Review 90:15 mins drive to Valenso for lavender.
Review 91:that we couldn't stay longer.
Review 92:travelled towards the end of Nov through all of provence region. Stayed in "many" different accommodation types, this place was absolutely perfect. If i could rate it 11 out of 10 i would. Decided to stay in Grouex Le Bain on a day trip to Verdon, Phil put us on to the local wine bar, right next to the round about - ask for Christion, sampled so much wine had to stay a second night. Got a chance to meet some really great people - all thanks to the owners of this hotel. Highly recommended.
Review 93:We have only praise for this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and the owner made us feel that we were at home. From the home made jams at breakfast ,the lovely pool and even an offer to pick us up from a nearby town if we got too tired after cycling we really cannot fault this hotel. A fantastic place to use as a home from home and a base to explore the beautiful area. We will be back.
Review 94:First floor has a patio instead of balcony, which didn't feel asprivate (shared with next door neighbors). You had to drive a fewminutes to the cafes/shops. Receptionist didn't speak English(which is okay, we're in France, but it would have been helpful forgetting around).
Review 95:Nice facilities Charming Centre Ville only a few minutes away Outdoorarea to sit
Review 96:I really can't think of anything.
Review 97:I loved the fact it was family run. The couple who owned it were very friendly and had a lovely wine offering. Our sons who is five could safety explore the place.
Review 98:The room (23)smelled fish, hotel was full, no change possible. Air conditioning incredibly noisy I had to switch it of on a well over 30C evening. An allert: second time I see a 8,9 certificate from Booking.com in a hotel that does not deserve half of it. The other one was in Montreaux. Better take care with this awards, you may end up with discredit as who sees it has already got their own impression and might not believe your criteria for other bookings.
Review 99:The owner or manager lady was very sympatetic and helpful.
Review 100:This is a fabulous place to stay for vacation! It may not have a lot of facilities like I've star hotels but it has five star service! We feel so warm the moment we arrived! Annick has been really hospitable and helpful! Highly recommend this place!
Review 101:Very friendly and courteous staff. We enjoyed the breakfast very much with some very tasty and fresh homemade jams and fruit salads. Nice setting with a good size pool to relax in for those hot days, after exploring the beautiful surroundings. Great location to visit the numerous villages in the neighborhood and, of course, the Verdon Gorges.
Review 102:Paid a lot for below par accommodation. pics were flattering. Not what we expected. definitely not a romantic getaway.
Review 103:Annique the night receptionist was just amazing.
Review 104:You won't know the best host ever until you meet Philip!! Excellent staff! The room is very clean and has stunning view with good price! It was like stay at my own home!
Review 105:It might be a bit difficult for visitors without a car, but we havemanaged to find ways to go around it.
Review 106:We have visited the place without driving a car. Although this makes ourjourney more difficult than it should be, it offers us the chance toexperience the kindness and gentleness of the people in Gréoux-les-Bains, and particularly in Lou Paradou. There is only one bus (ligne 27) from Aix-en-provence TGV station to Gréoux-les-Bains at 14:30. It operates daily apart from Sundays and public holidays. After 1.5 hours, we arrived at the town of Gréoux-les-Bains. There was a direction sign for Lou Paradou, but that was for the car and NOT FOR PEDESTRIANS. It caused some confusions and therefore we had to seek direction from people in town. The friendliness of the people was beyond our expectation. One of the passer-bys even drove his car around to give us a lift to Lou Paradou. The day we arrived was a Saturday, and we have planned to leave the town the following day. The host has helped us to plan our trip to the lavender field and our return journey on Sunday. As I have previously mentioned, there was no bus service on Sundays, and the lavender fields are beyond walking distance, the host kindly offered to drive us to the field than to Manosque to take the bus back to Aix-en-provence. This enabled to get the most out of the really short time of stay and we will definitely return in the future to explore the fully bloomed lavender fields and perhaps to try the mineral spa. Apart from the people, Lou Paradou is also an excellent place to stay at. The room we have stayed in was a studio. There was a door straight to the back garden, which was a large green field with a large swimming pool. The place also offered traditional french breakfast and of course you can choose to cook for yourself in your own kitchen. There were microwaves and ironing boards in the corridors for residents to use. In addition there was a good selection of local wine at a reasonable price.
Review 107:My room had a bathtub with a shower. For those who prefer to shower, either a handrail or a non-slip surface on the tub bottom would be nice.
Review 108:First and foremost, is the owner who is personally involved in your stay and in making your visit as nice as can be. The location is peaceful and everyone of the staff is friendly and accommodating. Be sure to splurge on the breakfast--everything is home made including the jams--and the meat and egg dish is cooked to order. I listed this place as "family" because that is how everybody there made me feel, as if I were family.
Review 109:Wi-fi was only in the lobby (but it's going to be available next...)Le wi-fi est present seulement dans la halle (mais sera pret disponible dans toute la structure
Review 110:Very peaceful area; near to the center of Greoux Nice staffplace très tranquille et près du centre de Greoux Le staff est très gentil
Review 111:nothing actually except no elevator.
Review 112:almost everything, it is so beautiful, neat and sweet
Review 113:Really peaceful location witin short distance from town centre
Review 114:Quiet place Lovely staff
Review 115:Difficult to get there unless you have a car.
Review 116:Big room, nice decoration, great breakfast.
Review 117:Nice woman at reception, cute hotel with a lot of lovely details
