Reviews for Les Chambres d'Andrea

Review 1:Suggestions - more visitor info eg town map, list of where to eat, transport options. More lighting in room corridor and wardrobes. Something to brighten up the walls in room.

Review 2:Warm welcome. Good quality breakfast. Ease of access. Extended check out time. Friendly staff - Gabrielle and Josine. Good directions. Daily Change of towels. Lamp bulb fixed immediately.

Review 3:The only thing that would have improved it would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room , but we're British !

Review 4:Attention to detail fantastic .

Review 5:Studio apartment on top floor, up 39 steep, spiral steps. Horse work to lug bags up so high.No lift. Room spacious but poorly furnished for €195 per night. Exec room at Canary Wharf Hilton nicer and cheaper.

Review 6:Friendliness of reception and serving staff. Good location for port ,old town and restaurants. Parking on site.

Review 7:Lovely continental breakfast but a bit more variety each day would have been nice. There's only so much bread/pastries that you can eat in a day :)

Review 8:Lovely boutique style small hotel. The snall pool and decked area in the garden is lovely. Nice room with lovely bathroom.

Review 9:The building is very old with very thick stone walls to keep out the noise, however if you are in the patio room then remember that the wooden floor above can be somewhat noisy when others walk about their room. This did not happen often in our stay, but was noticeable one morning when some guests had a very early checkout. A minor criticism bu it is a very old building and is somewhat unavoidable.

Review 10:From the outside it has a facade that looks like many buildings on typical streets in French towns. However the property has considerable depth and decorated with a taste and style that belies the exterior street view. The breakfast is served in the garden area or in our case the patio that was attached to our room. The young lady that looked after breakfast is very pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean comfortable and well equipped with a fridge, iPod music player, & TV . The garden has a quiet ambiance with a pool area boules playing surface and a garden bar that has a well stocked fridge working on an honesty system. The garage parking is free and very secure. The owner Stephanie is a very friendly and warm person who is very approachable if there are any issues arising, not that we did.

Review 11:It is faultless.

Review 12:Everything about this Les Chambres d'Andrea is outstanding. Staff are accommodating and helpful, the room was extremely comfortable and breakfast excellent (which we were served on our own private terrace which comes with the ground floor double room). The pool and garden area are tranquil and well organised. Accommodating only adults is a huge bonus. The communal space within the property is beautifully decorated and well equipped. Very well situated, only a 5 minute stroll from the beautiful port of Marseillan ville and plenty of good restaurants. We will definitely return.

Review 13:Beautiful place. Very stylish and superbly run by very friendly and welcoming owner. Don't be put off by the modest exterior or the on-street location. Behind is a wonderfully restored old house with secure parking, spotless modern air-conditioned rooms and a lovely tranquil garden with a superb pool area. It was quiet, we slept like logs and the inclusive breakfast was superb. We enjoyed it so much we lounged around the pool, more or less leaving only for lunch and dinner during our four day stay. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Review 14:I would describe this as a 'shabby chic' guesthouse rather than a boutique hotel. Strategically placed old objects of interest, and chalk painted furniture isn't boutique style.

Review 15:Excellent breakfast, clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff

Review 16:Sleeping difficult because of noisy fridge.Eventually turned it off. Room had no comfortable seating . Sat on bed when in the room. Wardrobe but no drawers so lived out of suitcase for three days

Review 17:Lovely location

Review 18:Unfortunately the swimming pool was being repaired during our stay so was unavailable except for the final day when I took a dip. However, being early in the season, the weather was changeable and often over cast so it wasn't too much of an issue.

Review 19:Magnificent suite with so much space, comfort & facilities (wifi, TV etc, minibar and beautiful bathroom complete lovely soft bath robes) within a short walk of the village centre and port with their selection of good restaurants.Superb breakfast, typically French with fruit, yoghurt, crusty bread & croissants. The host, Stephanie, could not have been more welcoming & friendly.

Review 20:Great boutique hotel, breakfast was superb, lovely building in a lovely location, all very relaxing and Stephanie was of great help, nothing was too much bother. Can't wait to return . Nicky and Eric

Review 21:I have no complaints about anything.

Review 22:1. The small boutique hotel is chic and very comfortable. 2. The heated pool is lovely 3. The hosts were very friendly and speak good English 4. The breakfast was great served in the garden 5. The room was very clean and comfortable. 6. The location was close to the port and to restaurants, a short walk

Review 23:The hotel is very well situated in the pretty town centre. It's a nice traditional building with tasteful contemporary decor and air-conditioned rooms; ours was at the back so it was quiet despite the busy road. Lovely garden in which superb breakfasts are served, including fresh fruits, yoghurt, good bread and pastries.

Review 24:Soft pillows, noisy air con, restricted check in time.

Review 25:Breakfast, garden ,pool, salon, newspapers, use of fridge, helpful staff, tranquility, Marseillan

Review 41:Stephanie was a very charming hostess and couldn't do enough for her guests. Beautiful rooms and very welcome airconditioning.

Review 42:Nothing - would have liked to have stayed longer...

Review 43:Beautifully restored and very comfortable - we had the garden room. Stephanie made us feel very welcome and encouraged us to use the lovely pool and sun terrace on which to relax. Great breakfast, and closely located to the harbour and a good choice of restaurants.

Review 44:Patchy wifi in some rooms - but difficult in an old house like this.

Review 45:The owner went out of her way many times - getting the pool ready for my excited daughter, great breakfast each morning, the hammock in the sun...

Review 46:The plastic mattress cover sheet that made for a very unconfortable night. At this price level this sort of thing is unacceptable

Review 47:Friendly recptionist, good sized room

Review 48:We stayed at Chambres d'Andrea for 5 nights recently and having stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world for business and for pleasure, I could not fault it. Everything was superb from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Stephanie, Philippe and their team do an amazing job of making you feel welcome and relaxed. Everything throughout the property has been carefully considered with attention to detail and comfort in every aspect. The whole house is tastefully decorated in a way that instills calm and relaxation, the colours, the furnishings, the small touches all around. The beds are really comfortable helped by the soft cotton linens. Unlike to many hotels, there was ample wardrobe space so everything could be put away adding to the uncluttered feel. The sumptuous breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, breads, pastries, ham, cheese and yoghurts served in the garden set us up for the day. The pool area is tranquil with lovely loungers, chairs and hammock. In the evening the carefully considered lighting makes it all look even more magical. With lots of good restaurants including Maison Camille owned also by Stephanie and Philippe just a short walk away on the port at Marseillan this is an ideal location to spend a few peaceful and restful days.

Review 49:We loved the "Frenchness" of this hotel. It had a lovely friendly, and family orientated feel about it. Stephanie had the garden set out beautifully and the interior artistically decorated.

Review 50:This is a charming B&B with high ambitions which is fulfilled by our standards. Beautiful garden, nice rooms and friendly, serviceminded staff. Quiet and relaxing with a pool and very central to the "centre ville" Marseillan.

Review 51:My husband and I were really pleased with this B&B, and it is even better than the look of pictures. The pool and garden is lovely and quiet, and if you stay in room no 1, you get direct access to the garden. The location is perfect if you want to be in walking distance from the nice restaurants at the harbour. The bed was fantastic and the breakfast lovely with fresh fruit, juice, bread, croaissants, jam, coffee etc. Very nice!

Review 52:Delightful staff.extremely helpful. Breakfast, outside in the beautiful gardens was a pleasure. The lockup garage was also a boon.

Review 53:Very beautiful location and garden. Very nice breakfast.

Review 54:Friendly atmosphere; central location; excellent bed and bathroom; secure parking; great soaps and tasty wine on sale; fresh juice at breakfast...
