Reviews for Les Fermes de Marie

Review 1:Not enough choice of food and totally overpriced for France. The wines also too expensive. No attention to détails and this place could be even much better with more little touches. Not enough light in the room and in the dining areas.

Review 2:I did like the location and the Spa. Nice rooms and nice public areas.

Review 3:No ari conditioning we can forgive in the mountains, but not lack of fans when it was hot. Bit distant from ski lifts to use in winter.

Review 4:Separate swimming pools for adults and children

Review 5:We only stayed for 4 nights and will definitely be returning next year! It was a fantastic hotel, with a wonderful spa, beautiful atmosphere and fantastic staff. I never usually leave reviews but this is a hotel worth telling people about!

Review 6:I stayed 3 nights midweek on a special offer. The hotel is built out of 8 traditional chalets connected by a warren of passages and stairs. These, on the first day, can be a little confusing but the lack of conventional hotel signage does make the place feel less like a hotel and more like the home of an old friend. The big fireplace at the heart of the building seems to spread its welcoming warmth everywhere and the place feels comfortable and cosy, from my room with warm wood, hairy carpets and fur throws, to the deep sofas which you sink gratefully into after a day outdoors and even to the large dining area with discrete pools of light. There are several very pleasant public areas to relax in; the service is faultless; the quality of the breakfast is outstanding (just try that butter!) and the food in the traditional dining room (there are two restaurants) where I ate twice is extremely good; as a single traveler I appreciated the method of offering wines by the glass; a small selection but different each evening. I didn’t try the spa, but it looked very inviting.

Review 7:Wifi signal was very (too) low in the fitness & pool area.

Review 8:Friendly staff, nice (whirl)pools & sauna, fitness. Beautiful surrounding, green, delicious breakfast.

Review 9:I did not like the spa: the jacuzzi had very little bubbles and there was no hamam, which I would have liked better. The food at the restaurant was very expensive and quite common:I took the plat du jour and the meat was hard. The soupe d'écrevisses was good but the portion was insufficient. As to the choice of deserts, there was nothing execptional for the price. Same remark for the breakfast.

Review 10:I liked the room that was well decorated with a very nice little terrace

Review 11:Everything... Espacially all these cocooning places...

Review 12:The spa and the four restaurants available for dining

Review 13:bathroom was way too small. No shower curtain. Also the room had the heating system turned off and was cold.

Review 14:Location and Staff availability

Review 15:Attention to detail, the facilities, the staff and Concierge in particular could not have been better

Review 16:restaurant was not at the level of a five star... sorry

Review 17:everything linked to the place and the wonderful staff

Review 18:rooms are beautiful but very dark. swimming pool area need complete renovation. breakfast variety need to be increased. overall very nice hotel but lacking the wow factor

Review 19:excellent staff. beautifully decorated spacious rooms. excellent location. excellent shuttle service. excellent skishop. excellent concierge.

Review 20:I would say the only downside is probably the number of stairs having ourselves a toddler, but we overcame it, so not a big deal.

Review 21:The staff were very accommodating, particularly with a young infant. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and a great choice each day, the spa was excellent, the hotel's general ambience and luxurious but cosiness of an alpine chalet.

Review 22:Watch out of the 5* bar prices and menu costs. The breakfast room was full of toasting and poaching machines that were seldom used. It made the room very hot and humid for both staff and guests. But as a responsive hotel - it will soon be sorted.

Review 23:The staff couldn't have been nicer, kinder, always there to help us out. A very warm welcome and farewell. Great location for town. Excellent and helpful concierge. fruit juice was fantastic. Pool is nice - quite a lot of kids when we were there - a reflection of how this is a family friendly place. If you looking for peace and tranquility in your pool experience - book outside of the holidays.

Review 24:It would be great to have another casual dining option rather than just the bar or a fondue restaurant.

Review 25:The staff, facilities and decor are all great and it's really welcoming to families and small children.

Review 26:Tiny room, even tinier bathroom, and for £600 per night ! a scotch £14 andcrazy wine list,no bedside table, water came as trickle, bad lighting, nothought on age in giving us a room with numerous stairs. Food of goodquality but boring, only one course changes. No bbc. Station thatworked, though three for the Russians.

Review 27:Quality of food, but lacking in variety, change or fresh fruit...same oldgreen apples and sour tangerines.

Review 28:Too many kids in the welness area. Not enough privacy. the restaurant was over-priced.

Review 29:The decor and the wellness area. very cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Staff is extremely helpfull and friendly.

Review 30:Everything, very relaxing

Review 31:Almost everything! Staff was very helpful, nice and polite.

Review 32:No sauna

Review 33:Very friendly,helpful staff

Review 34:2-3 minutes by car or shuttle to town

Review 35:Great service' very very friendly staff , good food

Review 36:Sometimes took a long time to get served but they were very busy.

Review 37:The hotel is very very cosy and I think we'll be back in the winter.

Review 38:Everything

Review 39:Value for money left a bit to be desired, and did not have all of the "5 star" aspects that the price commands.

Review 40:Nice location and staff

Review 41:Excellent. Very helpful staff. Lovely ambience I just wish I could have stayed longer.

Review 42:The hotel is absolutely marvelous! Rooms are beautiful! Very good restaurant.

Review 43:Food; Spa; Toillet's room
