Reviews for Lagrange Prestige Les Chalets du Galibier
Review 1:Nearby main road produced a bit of noise. No (mountain) view; full of trees, but that's not a real problem. Reception service time should be prolonged.
Review 2:Nice and reasonable rooms. Clean.
Review 3:We came here for the Tour de France, but the route was changed. You will be made to clean. The entire place is a buz of noisy cleaning from 7am onwards. If this is a bother don't stay here. If you come in summer do not pay for a car park spot. We paid and didn't get a car spot near our accommodation.
Review 4:The self catering facilities were good. The location to the mountains are great.
Review 5:Typical French beds, rather short and small :-) always book an apartment for more than the number of people you are traveling with.
Review 6:Cosy apartment, clean and practical. Very friendly reception and good location for cycling on the galibier in summer. Free parking next to the building.
Review 7:You have to clean the whole apartment & have it inspected at a pre-arranged appointment before you leave. You can pay a fee (very expensive) to have it done, but you still have to clean certain bits. But the flat was good value for money in the summer, so could factor cleaning fee into the cost & the flat would still be not too expensive. Would be difficult to clean if you had a very early departure time. Limited outside parking. Takes longer than you expect to get down to the valley (St Jean du Maurienne).
Review 8:Much bigger apartment than expected - on two floors with plenty of space for 2 teenage children. Two bathrooms (one including toilet, other with separate toilet). Comfortable sitting room & small but fine kitchen area. Large balcony (perfect for storing 4 bikes, but discovered a list of rules on the back of the door just before we left to say "no bikes in apartments"…)
Review 9:There are two properties, with two different check ins. Make sure you find out which one in advance as we waited in line for 20 mins to check in at the first place, only to be directed further up the hill. Paid wifi was a joke. Thankfully we only got the first 24 hrs rather than paying for a week. Only worked once, in the middle of the night, and was incredibly slow. Just don't bother. A fair amount of parking, but spaces ran out during the busy Tour de France days.
Review 10:Well set up apartment, two bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower), but only one (separate) toilet. Nice and clean, and ours had a nice outlook. Having to clean was a first for paid accomodation, but no issues.
Review 11:The accommodation is very basic, it was clean, and handy for a few days, but next time I would spend a little more an go with a higher quality hotel.
Review 12:The price was good.
Review 13:the mattress had plastic sheeting covering it so it was uncomfortable and noisy when you turned over; they expect you to have to clean the apartment to the standard that someone else can move straight in. If you want someone else to clean it, you have to pay about £40. But, they don't provide you with any cleaning products. And besides, I don't expect to pay a lot of money to go on holiday and then have to clean the toilets. No hot water in the evening. Self-catering kitchen was poor - don't even provide you with a sponge to wash any dishes.
Review 14:Valloire is lovely so a nice place to be. Staff were friendly.
Review 15:Directions were confusing. Hotel is not actually Lagrange - but the Hotel Tatami at Lesgranges. Hotel price is about right for the area - but seemed expensive for what we got; but perhaps that's the price for the scenery!
Review 16:Staff were excellent. Very friendly and keen to assist. Located just over summit of Col du Telegraph
Review 17:The chalet felt tired. The end of stay cleaning was not easy as no cleaning products were available.
Review 18:Very nice location, about 10 minutes to the town centre for restaurants etc. The chalet was well equipped for self-catering.
Review 19:Reception isn't open all the time therefore keep it in mind when you plan your arrival.
Review 20:Great location, can walk everywhere. Clean and well appointed rooms. Good car parking. Friendly staff.
Review 21:Great location with stunning surroundings Very clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment Great value for money Would definitely return
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:Basic value for money chalet. Just what we wanted.
Review 24:swiming pool and sauna. accesibilitate. very beaurocratic
Review 25:first class clean and tidy recommend to friends if staying in the area
Review 26:Had to pay for Wifi, reception has very limited opening times.
Review 27:Clean rooms & friendly staff, spacious apartment.
Review 28:Unreliable wifi. Poor flat design. Limited time in steam room/sauna.
Review 29:Location is fantastic. Nice pool.
Review 30:The hotel was really well located and was ideal for us with a small child. We could hire a cotbed and they provided us with a high chair.
Review 31:Everything except outlook
Review 32:too thin blanket
Review 33:fully equipped kitchen
Review 34:Very nice staff, beautiful city. Good value for the price paid.
Review 35:Cleaning apartment to avoid hidden cleaning charges after booking two apartments for a week each. WiFi was not complimentary as advertised. Kitchen is tiny and only truly fits one person at a time. Bedroom does not fit bags, and one toilet per six person apartment.
Review 36:The area is beautiful
Review 37:making own beds and then having to clean rooms before check out. having to make appointment to check out. apparently this is normal in ski resorts but it is new to us. insufficient cups for coffee in public area. a group had coffee just before us and there were no more cups.
Review 38:large rooms, nice staff, nice location
Review 39:The staff were rude, uninformative, did not try to assist with any problems or queries we had and generally were a poor reflection on what is a very lovely location. The resort advertised itself as having Wifi, but did not make it clear that there would be an additional cost and it would only be available in the reception area for a limited time per day. I would not recommend this as a destination considering the cost and the level of service which was totally unsatisfactory. I would recommend the village of Valloire to other travellers but not this resort. They need to sort out their training and communications, unfortunately our stay was spoiled by the staff.
Review 40:very small rooms, unfriendly staff, too expensive for what you get.
