Reviews for La Regence

Review 1:Room was too noisy. I could hear the neighbors talking or the hairdryer or something.

Review 2:Room was small but well fitted. Also the 1st Floor with access to big terrasse was great.

Review 3:The best Hotel we found in Paris ever! Warm, kind and skilled staff good English (and even a bit of Italian) spoken, always available. Modern structure, quite and silent, astonishing cleanings. 5 min from metro, RER and trains, 1 min for Bus. Wonderful. Highly recommended!

Review 4:The breakfast seats are too less. The first morning (Saturday)I had to wait to get my breakfast. The Indian female staff was not very friendly and asked me to wait. However, there was a table available but she still asked me to wait. I've waited for 20 mins and there were more people waiting so I had to ask her can I sit there? Not very friendly.

Review 5:The hotel is very new and comfort. The late shift staff was very friendly. I lost my phone while went out and asked him to give me a morning call. He did call me next morning and ensure I am awake. Very friendly.

Review 6:Typical Paris hotel room, shoe box size - but I have stayed in worse and the cleanliness and décor were superb.

Review 7:On the doorstep of La Defense but just outside the concrete jungle. Staff were very helpful and the décor is very modern. A couple of restaurants nearby and of course lots in La Defense, there is a Boulangerie just below the hotel which is excellent.

Review 8:Very expensive... 180€ for a quite small room.. would be 100 to 120€ value if not so located !

Review 9:The location.300m from la défense Rooms quite modern and functional .. with large terrasse ob the 2nd floor

Review 10:It is the second time that I stayed at this hotel. The hotel is very clean, nice, the bed is comfortable and the rooms are also well decorated. The breakfast is very good. The personnel is very kind and always prompt to help. The hotel is not far away from the RER/metro station. La Defense is a nice and calm area on the weekends.

Review 11:small rooms (but that is typical for Paris), so it was ok, only if I would have more luggage it would have been difficult, but for a business trip for 1 day or 2 ok.

Review 12:close to la defense district - thatwas important for me as I was on business trip there, nice personnel, clean room, although the room is quite small, the shower is big

Review 13:Only thing that bothered me and my friends were cleanliness issues. They didn't fail to replace us with new toiletries and towels however the bed was a big issue!! They didn't not change the sheets even though there was a stain on it. When we got there the beds were done however for everyday house cleaning, the bed was a complete mess. It seemed as if they just pulled the sheet to make it look like its done :( its a shame as the hotel was lovely. The price could definitely have been a little bit cheaper. And finally I was a little dissapointed as I booked the room a month ago with a request that I would like an upper storey room but not fulfilled. Its understandable that it may not have been available but then again I did book it over a month ago. Apart from all this, the hotel;its staffs and location were lovely.

Review 14:La Regence was located in such a perfect place! The road had local shops and eating places all along. We reached there pretty late and were able to get some variety food. As you may know it is the financial sector, and to see the buildings was absolutely pleasing. The station, La defense, was only 5-7mins walk away! And it is situated next to an amazing mall with great shops! The Line 1 from Defense was good as it had most places we wanted to visit and stops where we could change for another line or RER. I loved it all!! So pretty. As for the hotel, the staffs were friendly and caring. The rooms were a decent size! WiFi was good but didn't work a day however they did fix it pretty fast. :)

Review 15:no a/c and opening the window for cool and fresh air at night meant lots of noise from people loitering outside the hotel opposite

Review 16:Clean room, close to busstop to RER. Restaurants nearby. Good coffee place just next door for cheap breakfast.

Review 17:Internet was not working well in the room. No air conditioning in the room (not needed...).

Review 18:Very quite location (at least in summer...). Not far to metro station and then to Paris centre, shopping centers and restaurants. Very comfortable bed, very new and clean room and bathroom. Breakfast very good and with a good selection of food. Good coffee and cappuccino.

Review 19:lack of air con in Paris in August make sleeping difficult

Review 24:It is located in a Quiet place. Metro is not far away and everything was ok for a 3 stars hotel.

Review 25:The breakfast was quite poor for 9 euro

Review 26:Fine location - 15 min to the metro station. Overall the hotel is fine options for business travelers. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Review 27:No air conditioner available, so you need to open the window/door. Very noisy outside until very late at night, so it is difficult to go to sleep.

Review 28:The staff at the reception is very friendly.

Review 29:no airconditioning in the room. Maybe a small problem when it gets hot in paris due summer time. But still this was not a reason to not enjoy our stay.

Review 30:Beautiful boutique hotel. Small rooms but well equiped, space is used very well. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Not in the city center but we knew that in advance, when you take the subway at la defense you reach the city in a few minutes.

Review 31:No aircon can be daunting in summer, luckily they had a few fans available to ease the pain.

Review 32:Walking distance to La Defence complex, quiet and well equipped rooms, plenty of eating options nearby, nearby shopping.

Review 33:None

Review 34:Hotel was clean and just renovated. Very modern and hip. Amazing location in the La Defense with beautiful buildings near by. Halal food very near by.

Review 35:personel not much helpful (except for a woman but I dont remember her name) location is a bit out of the city but to reach to the center is not a big problem.

Review 36:they renewed the hotel. so everything looks new.

Review 37:I just didn't think it was value for money. I paid like 99 including breakfast for 1 night for a single room. I don't know if those are generally the rates in Paris

Review 38:Location is like 10-15 min from most offices. Many restaurants nearby for meals. Staff is helpful

Review 39:Very hospitable and most helpful staff. Super clean room. Hufely responsive tomour needs.

Review 40:The rooms are narrow.

Review 62:Rooms are small.

Review 63:Very clean and comfortable in walking distance to La Defense or Courbevoie. Great value.

Review 64:The staff were very good, even rang a sports shop for us, brilliant

Review 65:Location, staff, breakfast , comfort

Review 66:No air conditioner. Room is a little bit small for 3 people.

Review 67:Very clean room and close to Metro. Safe area.

Review 68:The new bathroom and fittings.

Review 69:clean room, decent breakfast, close to metro

Review 70:Room smells paint

Review 71:Staff helpful

Review 72:Missing things after cleaning.

Review 73:Perfect location. Very close to la Defence.

Review 74:room a bit small

Review 75:cleanness and close to la defense

Review 76:The rooms are small, but they are clean and comfortable. Close proximity to subways and city center.

Review 77:It was so new and clean

Review 78:Double rooms are also small but elegant

Review 79:Fresh after renovation, feels brand new.

Review 80:Room was ok, not great. Bed was big, but too soft, hallway quite loud. Place is a bit dated and worn, could use a facelift

Review 81:Location, big bathroom, free wifi

Review 82:It is an old Hotel and needs re-decoratingen and new appliance's. To get to the parking you have to get up a ramp which is narrow to get up and down. You can see the marks on the walls that a lot of cars have hit them. Lucky one of us could instruct the drive.

Review 83:It is a perfect location if you have to be at La Defense.

Review 84:Didn't like leaving my key at front desk everytime I left the hotel. No do not disturb signs for room doors available. Refrigerators in room would be a nice addition.

Review 85:Very good location near La Defense metro. Clean modern hotel with knowledgable staff. Quiet but on the same block with convenience store and restaurants. Stayed in december and room temp was comfortable. Will stay again when I'm back in Paris in 6 months.

Review 86:Internet was very poor, breakfast is fair, boiled or scambled eggs wouldhave been good. Bed could do with renewing as it seemed old.

Review 87:Near place of work.

Review 88:Tv channels, especially sport were in the bad connection all days

Review 89:Support from the staff, expecially on explaining the direction on the map and good english!

Review 90:Rather ** than ***. Small room with barely nothing but bed. Old and used wardrobe with tiny steel door.

Review 91:Nothing in particular. Staff perhaps is the best thing in this place.

Review 92:No Air conditioning. It was too hot in Paris. Although the staff provided a fan to manage the heat. It was different from the pictures I had seen.

Review 93:Friendliness of the staff

Review 94:The room given to me was tiny, there was barely enough room to walk around. I had to upgrade to bigger room. There is no air conditioning and Paris was hitting nearly 30 degrees. There were no fans available to keep cool.

Review 95:location, near my work.

Review 96:Great residential location. A convenience store and several small, local restaurants in walking distance. Walking distance from La Defense Metro station which is only one stop from the Champs Elysees. Great value for the money. Clean, boutique style hotel, friendly knowledgeable staff.

Review 97:There wasn't a minibar - I never ever mind this, but with the heat wave, I would've been glad to keep some water cool :-)

Review 98:For Parisian standards - a big room, comfy bed. The staff was very friendly and helped us regarding wifi. There was a supermarket next door, places for breakfast, a short walk to the metro and parking in front of the hotel: win win win! And! an elevator! phew...

Review 99:Room and bed were tiny and bathroom door starting to peel off. Shower head would not stand still so we had to hold it in our hands. We did not have time to report this issue until checkout so honestly I'm not sure if it has been/is being taken care of. Staff may probably be more helpful with practical info when it comes to nearby attractions. The one time we tried to ask something they didn't seem too well informed.

Review 100:Well located in the business district. It is a bit of a walk to the metro station (but not too far) and from there the city centre is a stones throw away. Car park experience was very good. Before my stay, they got in touch to make sure I had the parking spot booked for the right days. Also, they took care of some other requests. They took 1-2 days to answer emails but eventually they always did.

Review 101:-really small bathroom -expensive and not very good breakfast

Review 102:-perfect location in a good neighbourhood - near the metro station -clean and tidy -excellent for travellers that do not look for luxury but demand cleanliness

Review 103:They are currently painting which means they must be upgrading which is good, as the carpet (for example) could do with replacing too.

Review 104:Excellent and genuinely helpful staff. Best shower pressure we've had ever in a hotel. Nice street view from our window. Good location for business in La Defense area of Paris. Good value for money.

Review 105:2 taxis denied transport to hotel, as too difficult for them, or too near. So print out the google maps for the La Defense station so you will not go into the wrong direction after leaving the La Defense station building.

Review 106:Location, Big shopping centers at La Defense, price, bathroom with bathtub, enough breakfast, flat tv in the room,

Review 107:breakfast could have more variety but is ok for a small hotel like this

Review 108:Nice hotel, friendly staff, very(!) clean and very well maintained rooms, cheap parking place during the weekend, very good location, free wireless with good bandwith

Review 109:Breakfast a little spartan, but considering the price still good value

Review 110:Friendly welcome. Comfortable bed. Convenient location near to LaDéfense area

Review 111:Was a bit cold in my room one night ( January ). Decoration in the hallway a bit depressing but room was nice.

Review 112:No frill reception. Internet working like a breeze.

Review 113:No proper shower The breakfast is the worst I have had in any Parishotel. Coffee out of a machine , old fruit despite a fruit shop afew doors away. No meat , cheese, basically poor coffee , cerealand bread etc

Review 114:The room was larger than you usually get in a Paris budget hotel. Greatlocation for la Defense

Review 115:Old and very basic. Very small beds, and not comfortable. Don't stay here for a good rest. Bathroom clean, but a product from the 60s and 70s.Dark and depressing.

Review 116:Friendly staff that tried to be as accommodating as possible despite a relatively weak product. Good and easy wi-fi access. Location close to La Defense.

Review 117:Three things: - small rooms (quite claustrophobic) - nasty stains on the rim of the shower cabin - uninformed receptionist - when asked about restaurants in the neighbourhood open Sunday evening (ca. 20:30), he said that everything would be closed by then; we went out anyways and found a decent italian pizzeria ~200 meters away

Review 118:Price is decent; not far away from the La Defense metro station; surroundings are neat. Breakfast was quite good.

Review 119:The night gentleman was rude and showed his disinterested ness tocustomers unfortunately.

Review 120:The owner/director was very friendly and helpful. The price for Pariswas fair and although the room was rather small but it was very cleanand comfortable enough to have a good night sleep.

Review 121:Room was smelly, bed was veryyyyy uncomfortable. Could barely sleep through the 2 nights spent there. Breakfast was just a couple of toasts, french bread and cereals with tea coffee available costing 9euros ..c'mon Receptionist did not give us pin code entry for the door and doors are not manned 24x7...

Review 122:Location was great, minutes away from metro and shopping mall, next le tournesol restaurant which serves fantastic food - does not open on sunday though.

Review 123:Tv channels limted to locla language and screen size...

Review 124:The courteous reception staff and efficiency in dealing with a real timeproblem in delivering a solution. Well done.

Review 125:At the first time, a little bit complicated to find it once you exit the La Defense metro station.

Review 126:The room was very clean and comfortable. 24h reception and nice staff. Good neighborhood (located in the business district of Paris), so safe and easy to access by metro (30 min from city centre).

Review 127:The breakfast could have some ham, cheese and eggs. Also the bread could be a bit better quality. The heating of the room was nonexistent and rooms are cold. Fortunately we commented it with the staff and got right away a heater for our room.

Review 128:The hotel is a good value for money to stay in Paris even tough is a bit far from the center it is easily accessible by the main metro line, the staff is discrete and helpful and the rooms are clean and well furnished. For a 2** hotel it is a comfortable place to stay.

Review 129:In my opinion this hotel was rather expensive, compared to the quality of the rooms.

Review 130:Very nice guidance from the owner, e.g. about places to visit in Paris.

Review 131:Hotel was pretty run down with threadbare carpeting on stairs, could do with a re-furbishment.

Review 132:It was conveniently located for the meetings I was attending

Review 133:Small rooms, Very cold; the heating could not coop with the minus 10degrees outside. Room temperature bearable, elevator was like a fridge.Bathroom mirror and shower were installed for tiny people.

Review 134:Good english-speaking and helpful staff. Free wirleless and a decentchoice of breakfast. Bed quality okay, rest of the room was small andwould be helped with some refurnishment.

Review 135:On the other side, the distance to the metro station is about a 12-14minute walk, so it wasn't that close. Also, the hotel didn't have something really special to offer: there was almost no decoration at all, and the colors of the walls were quite boring if not sad. The rooms were rather small and the storing space also. The breakfast was ok, but certainly had no variety. To conclude, those disadvantages are not serious enough for not to suggest this hotel for a few days.

Review 136:I liked the kindness of the staff, and also the good price, wich, in ourcase included breakfast. Quite and nice neighbourhood, with not manytourists, lots of buiseness companies and few but breathtakingly tallskyscrapers. The metro and RER station "La Defence" is a very convenient station because line 1 serves the most popular monuments, museums and central stations, and RER is also a quicker way to travel. With RER the distance to the airport is maybe a little less than an hour. That's why it didn't really mattered that the hotel wasn't located in the city center.

Review 137:Old building/rooms Paris is expensive for hotels

Review 138:Location - close to La Defense (for business travel)
