Reviews for Hotel Inn Design Resto Novo

Review 1:For the price this hotel was great value clean , breakfast was very nice and not to far to walk in to town would def stay there again if I was in the area ?

Review 2:One small thing I would suggest to the manager . (I know he is a good listener and always willing to improve) . There was too much noise coming from the reception area (I was just 2 or 3 doors down the hallway from there. Perhaps after 9pm the door to the hallway should be in the closed position to help us tired travelers sleep.

Review 3:Very clean with good facilities. Nice rooms . The manager was a very nice chap , it seemed nothing was too much to ask of him. The Lamb I had in the restaurant was really very good.

Review 4:Breakfast disappointing (no croissants) and shortage of seating probably due to large number of guests on this occasion.

Review 5:Comfortable bedroom (with kettle!), courteous staff and good location.

Review 6:Location not ideal as I arrived by train and needed to get a boat from the harbour which was a long walk..

Review 7:Comfortable room. Breakfast served from 06.30.

Review 8:I was staying with my baby for several days. Everything was perfect and the staff were really kind if I need something. The only minus for me was the distance to the beach : 20-30 minutes walking as I was with stroller but the hotel was perfect, clean, prepared for little babies and reasonable price.

Review 9:No negative comments.

Review 10:Attractive modern building. Rooms had high quality fittings, comfortable beds and simple, clean decor. Our room for mature couple and adult son was fairly small but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Evening meal very enjoyable and a good, varied breakfast offered.

Review 11:Unfortunately the hotel didn't have an iron and ironing board, which I think should be standard in any hotel. Also the rooms were very small, even for the low price.

Review 12:The staff were lovely, room was nicely decorated, bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Staff were helpful in providing extra towels etc.

Review 13:Tiny cramped room. Ground floor room with no window lock - hence unable to keep window partly open. Written offer on booking confirmation of free meal on first night was refused. Hotel needs refurbishing.

Review 14:Not much.

Review 15:Bit of a walk from the port.

Review 16:This is a great budget hotel made fab. by recent renovations. Excellent modern showers and full lenght heavyweight curtains. Quiet location.

Review 17:The 3rd party supplier of wifi was a bit unreliable so had a day without it and the next day it dropped out too.

Review 18:The decor of our room. The outdoor picnic tables to have our self catered meals at. Short walk to town. They were able store our tandem. Great pizza just down the road. Boat trip to Chausey was fanastic.

Review 19:It is a pretty long walk to the city centre (20 minutes or so) along a fairly busy road.

Review 20:Room size; clean and fairly new; efficient staff; free parking on-site

Review 21:Overflowing rubbish bins Unable to secure open window(ground floor room) Very basic breakfast poorly presented WiFi very slow (0.5mbs) Too few toiletries and towels

Review 22:Excellent shower facilities 10 mins walk into town (safe too) Helpful staff Comfortable bed

Review 23:Seemed understaffed. Lady on reception was also hoovering, serving drinks, waitressing in the dining room, and answering the telephone all at once.

Review 24:Off road free parking. Restaurant on site. Quiet/ comfortable bedrooms. Free wifi. Decent breakfast.

Review 25:No single chair to sit on in DOUBLE room, overpriced, very small room, no real wardrobe or closet, the shower is difficult to operate , especially with wet hands. My room was cleaned only on request! The very first day NOTHING was done, they even did not bother to empty the bin!

Review 26:good wifi, nice and modern decoration, excellent breakfast( for France standarts),comfortable bed

Review 27:The room was extremely small. The shower has mould infested fugues and sealing. There is a connection door to the neighbour's room and you can hear every word from there, plus the doors of the rooms are all slamming loudly. The hotel staff is smoking in the lobby and the cigarette smoke can be smelled everywhere except in the rooms.

Review 28:Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 29:We had no complaints.

Review 30:Compact, clean accommodation with good carpark, within reasonable walking distance of centre and providing lovely breakfast which was kept well stocked. (Glad to have real soap in bathroom rather than those liquid dispensers screwed to the wall!) Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 31:The free wifi was not working for most of our 2 night stay, which was a real problem for us. The bedroom was tiny for 2 people in twin beds. There was no space for the (small) suitcases. The hotel was overpriced. The afternoon person in charge of the desk seemed to be quite clueless.

Review 32:The breakfast was good and the free on site parking was very welcome. For a one night stay this characterless hotel was fine. The staff in the morning were very pleasant and efficient .

Review 33:Poor in room tea/coffee making facilities, the cups provided were ridiculous and there was no milk !!

Review 34:The hotel was very good value for money and suited our purpose as a one night stopover.

Review 35:insufficient staff at weekend. Room not done by 4-30 pm Sunday No restaurant even tho' sign behind door said dinner available Saturday. Towels removed from room while I was at breakfast although all my luggage still not packed Monday am

Review 36:Come back Marmotte!

Review 37:Really comfy bed. Room a little small but really clean and they take dogs too.

Review 38:The new decoration and bathrooms

Review 39:Excellent value for money; clean and in a v good location.

Review 40:On a trouvé un cafard

Review 41:Slightly larger room.

Review 42:good location, good staff, good food.

Review 43:location, so far from gare

Review 44:kind

Review 45:Small rooms

Review 46:Very good staff, very nice breakfast

Review 47:Rooms rather small.

Review 48:Helpful staff, very clean. Good breakfast.

Review 49:Friendly English speaking staff

Review 50:room too small

Review 51:staff were very helpful

Review 52:People are the main value!!!

Review 53:Not really a problem to us but single beds are as narrow as they can get.

Review 54:Location. Easy to find. Modern. Good staff. Clean bathroom and good shower.

Review 55:Hotel was out of town and dinner was late. Drove into town to enjoy and earlier meal.

Review 56:Room was pleasant and breakfast good.

Review 57:The Staff.

Review 58:The bed was small.

Review 59:Place seemed well run. Dinner was better than we anticipated would be served. Place to Park the car

Review 60:pleasant enough for price; helpful staff; good value main meal; good & helpful chef.

Review 61:The staff were really helpful and friendly. Very reasonably priced and comfortable. Would deffinately recommend.

Review 62:Directions to the hotel were very bad. Wifi didn't work.

Review 63:Very clean. Staff were friendly

Review 64:Within comfortable walk of centre. Quiet and well appointed room. Good breakfast.

Review 65:Good location, close to the city centre with car just a couple of minutes away. Plenty carpark, room is quite small but clean and comfortable.

Review 66:A very modern hotel I would recommend to anyone

Review 67:Wifi patchy Room somewhat cramped

Review 68:Location Quietness

Review 69:Shower was difficult to turn on. Paper cups in room!

Review 70:Position was good. Bed very comfortable. Good breakfast. Value for money.

Review 71:Property

Review 72:Location

Review 73:Great location, clean modern rooms, free wifi and very helpful and friendly staff

Review 74:Convenient location, close to the train station. Very friendly staff. Calm and nice room.

Review 75:Modern and flexible furniture, very clean and good staff.

Review 76:Small choice of breakfast

Review 77:Price

Review 78:Room cramped and stuffy. Room not clean, one day beds not made, bin not emptied, hair left in shower. Walls thin, you could hear next room clearly and if their shower was used the same time as our room the shower would flood. Breakfast poor value for money, wi-fi sketchy.

Review 79:Staff pleasant, location to town good, convenient car park.

Review 80:There was no milk available with the coffee/tea in the room (I do not think this is a british only requirement). Also our coffee and suger were not replaced for the second day of our stay. We were not able to make breakfast so had to wit until we could get to a cafe.

Review 81:The standard rooms rooms were all you could want. The limited mobility rooms could do with better access to the be for those in wheelchairs. The walk in shower and raised toilet were ideal. Maybe a handrail in the shower would help some people.

Review 82:Location a bit out of town. Room a little cramped. No milk for tea.Strange tea. Cheap, flimsy cups. Hair dryer worked intermittently.

Review 83:Good value. Easy to find. Clean. Well designed bathroom. Convenientparking on site. Good French breakfast. Good to have net curtains asuseful (mosquito net) when keeping window open for ventelation at night.Kettle in room.

Review 84:kettle in room but no cups or drinks left early second day but no offer of breakfast (although laid out) no meal available firt night due to party! corridors noisy (other guests)

Review 85:comfortable clean

Review 86:Couldn't get in the hotel for half an hour even though we had said that we were arriving late. No staff on duty all night. Could not manage to get the heating working so woke up cold and no milk to go with the coffee and tea bags. Tiny cubicle of a room to boot.

Review 87:I didn't like the style. It looked very old fashioned and the red lights over the aisle were definitely not a strong aspect. The reception was empty at the moment of arrival but it took only 5 minutes to be received by the receptionist/manager.

Review 88:I liked that the hotel had a private parking. I think this is a solution to be in a charming city where there are not so many things to do. The room was real clean. The price was cheaper in comparisson to hotels near the area.

Review 89:Without GPS it was difficult to find the hotel. I was unable to have an evening meal on either Friday or Sunday.

Review 90:The staff were very helpful and friendly. I stayed Friday and Sunday nights but left something in my room on Saturday morning which staff found and transferred to my new room on the Sunday. Very thoughtful of them.

Review 91:Staff spoke no English in a very touristy area. Tv was only available in French, no other languages at all. We went out one day and came back at around 5pm, there were no towels in our room and we asked for some as we wanted to shower. We were told (we think) that the towels were being cleaned and we would have to wait!!! We didn't get towels until the next day! In the shower there was mould and grime underneath the shower seals. The bathrooms were clean but only superficially. Needed a good bleaching! Room was absolutely tiny, difficult to move around. We're used to better for the price we paid.

Review 92:There was [what is presumably] a fire door linking my room and anadjoining room, through which sound travelled like snot through Kleenex.I could therefore hear the entirety of my neighbours' conversation, which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so terribly banal. So my suggestion to the hotel would be to either better insulate therooms and/or attract more interesting guests, like myself.

Review 93:The hotel room was like a big and garishly decorated cardboard box witha lock on it, which luckily suited my needs perfectly, but may not bewhat everyone is looking for.

Review 94:Room rather small. Kettle in room had no lid, and despite asking for another, it wasn't replaced. Shower tap was very difficult to turn on (and off). Staff didn't apologise for this.

Review 95:Location was convenient. Room was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and good value.

Review 96:Room miniscule with a small rail by the bed to hang stuff on. Four hangers. They said 'tea/coffee facilities in room'. Joke. Small kettle, small, plastic disposable cups (3fl oz max), sugar and tea, all on the smallest shelf. No milk. Reception closed completely over night, no-one there. A leaflet if there was a problem. There was, I was ill and if I had needed help, just a leaflet to contact someone. No phone in room!!!!

Review 97:clean

Review 98:The first member of staff was very rude and unhelpful. Our French isn't 100% and she refused to help talk in english in anyway. We requested interconnecting rooms and we had seperate rooms.

Review 99:In the moring the new member of staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely and good value.

Review 100:Cubicle sized hostel like rooms.Very thin walls make for noisy nights.Narrow double bed. No clothes cupboard, only a rail obscuring bedside table. No refrigerator. Poor ventilation and unsecured ground floor window will admit intruder.

Review 101:Large car parking , easy to find, good access to town /port of Granville. Good shower but tiny and difficult to operate. Staff helpful, try to please etc. Good breakfast choice/quantity

Review 102:Eleven of us stayed in 6 rooms on the fifth night of our group cycling holiday. Although some way out of the centre of Granville and away from the port and old town, the hotel well served its purpose for us. Our room was pretty small but quite well appointed, suspect recently refurbished. Good safe accommodation for our bikes at rear of hotel. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Review 103:Rooms quite small

Review 104:The reception was exemplary & friendly, rooms spotless, though a little cramped. Location very easy to find with plenty of parking, only a 15 minute walk into the port area, the up hill return burns off some calories

Review 105:Would prefer not to have to pay for breakfast, but it's pretty common in France, and this was a good one.

Review 106:One of the better hotels of a 2-month trip. A modern, comfortable place just out of the centre.

Review 107:Our booking was logged in for the wrong date, and it looked as tho' we might have to go elsewhere. However, the receptionist eventually advised us that she had resolved the problem, (?) and we stayed as booked

Review 108:there was no staff when we got there at 4pm and our room wasn't ready, it smelt of smoke, and there was ash in the window groove,

Review 109:it was clean and had all you needed,

Review 110:Rooms tiny, my husband had to fold the shower doors in so he could sit on the toilet.

Review 111:Salina the receptionist was wonderful, very friendly and extremely competent and knowledgeable,

Review 112:That we only stayed one night

Review 113:Super friendly staff, very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and most unexpected. Lovely food very reasonably priced

Review 114:I was overcharged by 14 Euros. My whife and I had 2 rooms and we werecharged for two breakfasts against each room number.I intend to make a complaint separately and a recommendation will depend upon the result of complaint.

Review 115:The rooms are attractive and comfortable. The breakfast was morethan adequate.

Review 116:It is in Granville. It deserves to be in a nicer town.

Review 117:The hotel was clean and orderly. Staff were unfailingly helpful and cheerful. The buffet breakfast was excellent, both in quality and quantity. It is near the station.

Review 118:This was described as a 'no smoking' hotel, the room we were givenstank of cannabis and tobacco, I complained immediately and was givenanother room.If you describe this hotel as a non smoking hotel - you must enforce this policy Staff were merely adequate , and did bare minimum to make our stay enjoyable , lacking in customer service and personal presentation.

Review 119:I liked the location but very dissapointed with hotel in general , cameover as sleazy , cheap and tacky but thought was over priced and a lowbudget and low end feel to the hotel.

Review 120:Very cramped. The bathroom would have been impossible for large or pregnant people. Small towels Blue light from the hotel exterior made sleeping difficult No "black" tea or milk in room It's a long way from the town centre and beach, and as the return is all uphill it's not within walking distance unless you are very fit.

Review 121:Comfortable beds Good shower Hairdryer Kettle Quiet location

Review 122:sold to me as "hotel restaurant marmotte de Granville". This was not the name of the hotel. Drove miles looking for it. No bar, no restaurant, no air conditioning, tiny room 27-31celsius at night - had to buy a fan. Hotel is 1.5 km from town centre - no buses and taxis scarce. Never again!

Review 123:It would have been good to have been informed the hotel had changed itname from Hotel Marmotter(and also changed all road direction signs).Granville on market day is very congested and searching for the re-namedhotel was not to be recommended.

Review 124:The modern bathroom, nothing else though!!

Review 125:Not really in the center of Granville, but in walking distance. Thestaff was not very helpfull and even locked us out of our room for onenight. Probably due to communication problems - so you better don'texpect english speaking staff! Although they didn't charge us for thatnight, we would have prefered not to have that experience.

Review 126:Nice and new rooms, enough parking lots in front of the hotel.

The Fine Print

The restaurant is open for dinner from Monday to Friday.
