Reviews for Les Echevins
Review 1:Our toilet could have been cleaner.
Review 2:We were upgraded without asking to a good sized room - probably because the hotel was almost empty at the start of September. Excellent double glazing meant the room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Hotel was right beside the historic old walled town and a short walk to the castle and River Rhone.
Review 3:You have to check if you book an air-conditioned room. It was surprising that this hotel had room without air conditioner without a clear notice of this fact.
Review 4:The breakfast coffee was somewhat burnt. Ham, at breakfast, seemed a little off according to one of my friends.
Review 5:Short drive to Avignon and easy parking. Nice, privately run hotel, been in same family four generations. Classy looking interior. Not like modern chain.
Review 6:thin curtains, traffic noise from street (need a room at the back of the hotel). Far side of town from market and station. Bathroom flooded easily.
Review 7:friendly, helpful staff - gave tourist guidance. Convenient for castle and bars.
Review 8:The rooms and hall require significant renovation. The hotel is extremely overpriced. During the night you cannot open the window because of the terrible smell from the factory near the village. Tarascon itself is a terribly boring place, so I would not recommend anyone to visit it.
Review 9:The hotel is beautiful on the ground floor. The staff is extremelly nice and helpful.
Review 10:Breakfast is good but not included. They make it seem like it is, then when you pay for your stay 10 euro per person has been added to your bill.
Review 11:Warm staff.
Review 12:To get the wifi to work, important for a mid-teen, my daughter had to sit in a corner between the toilet and wardrobe space- not ideal!
Review 13:Lovely location, perfect little hotel for a night in this pretty place.
Review 14:Not recommend Breakfast at the hotel.
Review 15:Old style pretty furniture. Staff was awesome. Restaurant was so delicious. Room was clean and spacious.
Review 16:Frienfly staff. Great location
Review 17:Great location in charming Tarascon
Review 18:The problem was with the town. It was lifeless almost abandoned. Restaurants were either closed or empty. We should have stayed in St Remy with the rest of the group, which apparently was the exact opposite of Tarascon.
Review 19:The hotel and staff were excellent. We were attending a wedding outside the village and it was impossible to get a taxi, the hotel owner gave us a lift in the end. The staff could not have been more helpful.
Review 20:Towels in the room were not clean, extremely basic comfort in the room, and very noisy as walls seem to be very thin. We were not looking forward to go back to the hotel at the end of our days.
Review 21:Staff was okay, and the room size was decent.
Review 22:Would have liked to have a coffee pot in the room. Room furnishings wereplain but adequate.
Review 23:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great to visit Frenchlandmarks. Room was large and clean. Dining area was very nicely laidout although we didn't use it. Staff was extremely accommodating.
Review 24:Tarascon itself is a bit scruffy. The medieval parts are great to walk through. With no air conditioning in the room and only a loud fan, it was a bit difficult to sleep with traffic noises. Luckily the loud cicadas stop chirping at night because they sound like hundreds of marracas. I would call this a 2-star hotel, not 3, because the rooms could use a little fixing up (air con, carpet instead of laminate, bigger beds!).
Review 25:We stayed two nights for a good location between many interesting places. Walked across the bridge for dinner in Beaucaire and happened upon a music festival and night market. The room was very clean.
Review 26:Very spacious room for our family of 4. This was a great location for visiting nearby Pont du Gard and other area sights. Back door of hotel enters onto lovely older part of city. Excellent boulangerie nearby.
Review 27:No air conditioning. The room was not bad but air would have been nice.
Review 28:The room was a good size for a family of 4. Separate shower room was convenient. Great view of the castle from our window. Safe and close parking. Very helpfull staff.
Review 29:Hotel always very clean and peacefull Staff friendly and helpfull
Review 30:The hotel is not easy to get to by car.
Review 31:I like the cleanliness and the comfort of the room. Overall, I had a very nice experience.
