Reviews for Perle Bleue - Lille

Review 1：Staff very reticent to help - arrived at 4.30 and told to come back at 6pm although we did eventually manage to get in (they were going out at 6.30pm anyway)!! It felt like they were keen to get our money but didn't actually want the inconvenience of guests!! Owners car parked right outside the front door which meant we had to carry baggage around it!! Wifi code didn't actually work, but we didn't bother/dare to disturb owners again. We weren't allowed to use the spa facility (and it wasn't a Sunday!!) even though we didn't see any other customers arrive. Lovely kitchen with all mod cons but only one shelf in the oven and very little in the way of crockery and utensils (nothing in the way of baking trays and not many pans) so self catering for long would be limited and not enough to cope if all the beds were taken. Also it isn't actually called Perle Bleue but (ironically!!) Bains de Grace so took a couple of attempts to find!!

Review 4：Beautiful spa (which we were not able to use as it is closed on Sundays). We were shown around the lovely Haman and pool with exercise bikes. Staff really helpful. Everywhere immaculately clean. Tastefully renovated old stable accommodation. The lay out of bedrooms /bathroom would ideally suit 4 ladies staying to use the spa-single beds which are pushed together. Very near "La Piscine" in Roubaix-the best conversion of an old building into an art gallery I have ever seen. This stunning art deco 1932 swimming pool retains much of the old pool character and houses excellent art. *this is free to visit on the first Sunday of the month.
