Reviews for Hôtel Relais du Loir

Review 1:The corridor where the rooms were was long, rather run down and a bit spooky and there weren't many other guests which gave the effect of being in an old french film….just the time of year I suppose, slightly out of season (Sept 6th).

Review 2:It was in a central location and the room was clean. The hotel was very 'French' and we had a key to the back door to go in and out. The breakfast room though was modern and cheerful.

Review 3:Kitchen was in process of being stipped out no food after breakfast. "kitchen will not re-open" Bar shut at 1930 on a saturday evening.

Review 4:budget priced family friendly helpful young couple making a go of it central location to area

Review 5:The shower was difficult to use as it was over a bath with steep sides, and the general appearance of the hotel was very tired. It is apparent that efforts are being made to refurbish.

Review 6:The location was excellent and the breakfast was generous. The bed was comfortable.

Review 7:Corridors are in need of redecoration and the lighting should be improved as they are on short time switches- movement sensors would be better.

Review 8:Very good location near to Le Loir. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Close to the centre of town. I had no problem parking my motorcycle at the front of the hotel.

Review 9:No help available to carry bag to second floor - no lift

Review 10:Very run down hotel but excellent location with plenty of free public parking both front and rear

Review 11:Don't order the cheap 3 course menu at the restaurant - depressingly low quality. The chips seemed to have been made days ago and then warmed up and the apricot tart was like cardboard. The town was pretty spooky and quiet too, especially on a Monday!

Review 12:Lovely hot, powerful shower, lovely bed and bedroom with big windows. Sweet, friendly staff.

Review 13:Hot temperature in room. Small and hard bed with thin pillows.

Review 14:Ideally situated near the "Zoo de La Fleche". Very nice people. Good french breakfast.

Review 15:Parking in public car park at the back of the hotel. Bar and restaurant were closed but found bars and restaurants in the town.

Review 16:Good sized clean room with updated shower room though corridors and public areas need some TLC. Central location.

Review 17:Room in the front meant we had quite a bit of traffic noise. Windows needed to be open at night since it was very warm during the day. Room had all the basics, just had seen better days.

Review 18:Easy walking to town & River.

Review 19:Corridors a bit pink and old style but added to the ambience.

Review 20:Very helpful staff welcomed us on out bicycles when we were very wet. Excellent lunch and simple breakfast. Excellent location to see la flèche. Room basic, bathroom modern and clean.

Review 21:The room was adequate. Clean and tidy

Review 36:Nothing to add

Review 37:The right hotel in the right place, perfect situation for our requirements. Very good kitchen, some of the best cooked food we have found.

Review 38:Wi-Fi was down for 2 days !! and i made the reservation with my American Express and should pay the bill at checkout !! gave my American Express card to the woman and she says that they DON'T accept American Express !!! That's a BIG dislike

Review 39:Breakfast was simple but good

Review 40:The wi-fi didn't work after many tries and the staff couldn't help. Also there is no air conditioning and the French countryside was HOT.

Review 41:The location was great and the staff friendly. The shower was quite wonderful for a French two star.

Review 42:Even though I appreciate that it was an old building, the carpet on the stairs were worn and torn in some places. However, the rooms looked like they were recently remodeled. The room doors appear to be the original as they gave us skeleton keys to open them with.No elevator, but we managed.

Review 43:Good location in La Flèche as we were visiting friends nearby on the way to one of our tourist destinations.Staff was very nice!

Review 44:Excellent location very friendly, attentive staff. The restaurant was welcoming and the food good, the room was warm and comfortable would definitely return.

Review 45:Restaurant closed at odd times and although parking in the street was not a problem it does advertise that the hotel has its own parking.
