Reviews for Hotel De Provence
Review 1:No elevator, but we knew it and the hotel manager helped carry the luggage to our room.
Review 2:Helpful hotel manager, the convenient location with restaurants and a supermarket nearby, and a terrace for our room.
Review 3:WE had a wonderfl 4 night stay at Hotel de Provence. Our every need was taken care of fromt he start of the day with a tasty breakfast including homemade yougurt and great conversation with the other guests. Antoine was always attentive with ideas of where to travel to and what the weather would be like plus recommendations for places to eat. We are looking forward to returning someday soon.
Review 4:Charming hotel in a 200 hundred year old building which is close to all the main attractions in Tarascon. Our booking indicated on site parking but really it is free public parking on the street outside the hotel which was fine.
Review 5:The wifi worked great. But you had to reconnect everytime to log in. So not a problem, just slightly annoying.
Review 6:The proprietors were fabulous - friendly and helpful. And the place was perfect. Exceptionally clean, loved the decor. Tarascon is picturesque, quiet little town (with it's own medieval castle and town centre) perfect location for a holiday in Provence.
Review 7:From the moment we were welcomed to this hotel we were made to feel at home. The hoitality was wonderful! The rooms were roomy and we really enjoyed the Provence decoration in the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic!! Merci for a wonderful stay in the Provence!
Review 8:The hotel is on a main road and there is parking along the road but it is very busy and it is luck if you get a parking place close to the hotel.
Review 9:The owner/manager could not have been more helpful. We liked the breakfast all around a large table and made it easy to get into conversation with other guests.
Review 10:This is a small hotel in the centre of this medieval town managed by very helpful and friendly owners who are taking care of every detail of your stay at their hotel.
Review 11:We arrived 'late' and had to leave early for breakfast with friends in Cavaillon so only had three waking hours to enjoy the hotel !
Review 12:We had had a delayed 350 mile journey due to an unplanned stop for the Tour to pass by in a remote French town (wonderful to see but two hours 'lost'). We had forgotten that it is advisable to telephone by 2000 if arrival would be after 2100 and we managed to park outside on the road just ten minutes late. Despite our late arrival (for which we apologised as it was obvious systems are in place to enable entry without Monsieur being present) we were received with a warm welcome and résumé of the hotel. Our room,number6, and the hotel in general are delightful with a great deal of thought and care taken in the planning and presentation. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well and the bathroom, as with the room itself, was spacious and well-planned. The hotel is a short walk in to the town of Tarascon ( 5 minutes) and parking is available on the street outside the hotel which is quiet at night.
Review 13:Very enjoyable stay so there was nothing we really disliked
Review 14:Central location to base from, very helpful and friendly hosts, nothing was to much trouble
Review 15:The neighborhood was run down and very poorly maintained.
Review 16:Antoine and Marie should be running a much grander facility in Nice or Cannes. Antoine is the perfect hotelier!
Review 17:Very good experience! The host is very nice and give us rich recommendation of Provence, also help us translation with other French whom can't speak English. When we back hotel, Rich's always waiting for us for greeting, even he moved his car to give the space for our parking. The hotel facilities are very well, comfortable, relax! It's very nice hotel & host! I will recommend to our friend when they come to Provence! Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Rich!
Review 18:This is a lovely place, full of local charm. Tarascon is well positioned for visiting western Provence, and this hotel would suit most needs. The owners are lovely, helpful people and the rooms are full of vintage, well-kept furniture. Definitely recommend.
Review 19:Proprietor suggested several tourist destinations, eating establishments, obtained train, bus times. Spoke several languages. We laughed a lot. He learnt English idioms. We learnt French idioms. We had a hug when we left.
Review 20:No nice restaurants nearby, had to drive to beaucaire for good restaurants.
Review 21:Hotel was very nice easy go find and parking was ok out the front of hotel. Staff very good, helpful with information and maps on tourist sites.
Review 22:Tarascon was very disappointing as a town. Very dirty. Monday evening there was nothing open so we had to have a picnic in our room. Not the best evening if our holiday. Everything very basic. No nice touches. Bathroom very basic one small soap shower gel attached to the wall of the bath. Room very expensive @ 92€ so left without breakfast which would have been a further 9€ each! The building must have been lovely once. Tired and sad now with very few features. Such a sad experience.
Review 23:Nice friendly owner. Clean room.
Review 24:Didn't like the town of Tarascon much.
Review 25:This hotel had it all: great reception, fabulous decor on entry, room was wonderfully simply decorated but very chic! Very clean - everything one could desire in a hotel.
Review 26:for really picky people can be noisy, the building is old, so do not expect excellent isolation.
Review 27:Nice tiny hotel with friendly stuff. Since, we arrived really late they found the solution to check-in. only positive impression of the hotel.
Review 28:Nothing. All good.
Review 29:The owner and his wife went over and above in every aspect. Helpful and informative. We went for a wedding and they went out of their way to help us. Hotel is central and it is easy to visit many towns. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. The breakfast with home made yoghurt is great. We recommend this hotel
Review 30:A most attentive owner host and family. Great breakfast and plenty of helpful tips on places to see things to do. We enjoyed our stay this past June
Review 31:The room, with its plush curtains, its en suite boudoir, & large balcony
Review 32:Parking is not really available, depends on availability on the street

Review 34:difficulty with the Hotel front door entry lock - hard to open with a suitcase in my hand

Review 48:We only booked in for one night!
Review 49:The man we saw was extremely helpful on many counts: town map and restaurant suggestions, water refrigerated and glasses, parking disc, wifi etc. even changed our room as it was so hot.
Review 50:parking can be a problem at times
Review 51:Homely hotel in the centre of town. We booked the junior suite with a large lounge as well as a balcony with chairs and table provided. Good breakfast taken at a large table so met a number of guests from around the world during our 5 day stay. Good centre for exploring both Tarascon (fabric museum) and Beaucaire(mini-marina) but also several historic cities within a 25 mile radius. Excellent restaurants recommended by hosts who were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a parking space in front of the hotel
Review 52:Situating in the historical centre and 10 min by foot from Taraskon castle the hotel is full of Provence vision of life! Well decorated and have only 2 starts. The best fro price and quality. Antoine with his wife are very opened, intellegent persons who will help you to do everything: from parking the car to guiding you through all main sightseeings in the region!
Review 53:Low pressure in the shower. Breakfast is not very rich, without hot dishes (only bread-butter-yogurt). All the guests are sitting at one table and the host is standing all the time near your chair and asking you rather stupid questions. It is absolutely impossible to eat calm!
Review 54:Spacious room, big comfortable bed, quality-price is very good, is situated near the castle of Tarascon.
Review 55:The town has an influx of immigrants who are a bit noisy but it didn't really bother us.
Review 56:The owners made us feel like family and the hotel exuded charm. The breakfasts were very good and the owner makes her own yogurt!
Review 57:Town was a bit dowdy-less pretty than many we had driven through, but there was a nice old part that we discovered en route to the castle
Review 58:Hotel was immaculate though quite simple. Some of the rooms we peeped into had terraces and were delightful. Spotless place , very well presented. Most amazing castle in this town
Review 59:No fridge in the room - it was clear during the booking, but still. A small fridge would be really helpful.
Review 60:Very friendly and helpful staff - booked twin room by mistake and easily changed that during check-in for a fair price. Clean rooms.
Review 61:Beautiful hotel, amazingly clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Review 63:Took a bit of getting used to and then was just like home. Owners are awesome! T
