Reviews for Hôtel La Réserve
Review 1:Stayed one night on an inn to inn hiking trip so we arrived by foot. We got two rooms which were more than adequate for one person each. Good location near bars and restaurants as theirs was closed for low season. Owner was helpful and breakfast was very good.
Review 2:The room was unbearably hot given that the outside temperature had been 39C. I think one might expect air conditioning in a 3 star hotel. Pas de climatisation dans un hotel a trois etoiles. Pas de restaurant et pas de reception apres 21 heures..
Review 3:Hotel is beautifully situated adjacent to Lake Gerardmer. Bonne situation a cote du lac. Excellent petit dejeuner a 12 euros.
Review 4:The only slight down side was that the room was not very noise proofed, so I could sometimes hear when people were talking in the corridor. But there was very little noise from other rooms.
Review 5:Unlike some of the commenters here, I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel owner in particular was very chatty and full of bonhomie. The location was perfect with a fantastic view of the lake. The room wasn't huge, but just the right size for a solo traveller. Would also be great for romantic couple.
Review 6:The bar was not open because it wasn't high season and it looked nice and well stocked .. Bathrooms were dated compared to theobromine
Review 7:I liked the location with a view on the lake . The Staff or owner was nice and helpful .. Breakfast was good too . We could put our motorcycles in a garage .
Review 8:A good clean hotel in very nice decorative condition. The breakfast had a really good selection with something for all tastes. Gerardmer is a good base to explore the Vosges area.
Review 9:If I need to dislike one thing, it would be the breakfast that might not be worth 12 euros pp. (one might have expected more fresh products at that price).
Review 10:-really close to the lac -helpful owner (borrow bycicle) -the small fitness room in the basement -the size and comfort of the room
Review 11:Very friendly owner made to feel very welcome, ideal location for our next day journey over the Alps, good off street parking for our motorbikes.Loved the way out decor.A good continental breakfast with plenty of choice to set us on our way.will use this hotel again with out a doubt.
Review 12:Staff unavailable before 1500 check-in

Review 16:Everything perfect! Nice staff, clean, confortable etc etc.. really nice!
Review 17:Excellent breakfast.
Review 18:I very much liked the internal décor, black, white and grey with touches of red, and also the sofa upholstered in gold leather, though it did remind me of the James Bond film when a girl gets done to death with gold paint! The patron was very helpful, breakfast excellent and the key arrangement for getting into our room and the hotel late worked like magic.
Review 19:We were there half an hour before we foundthe one staff person. No breakfast although he suggested we eat cheaper elsewhere (we did). Decor was want to be Vegas.
Review 20:It was clean and well located --no one there but us.
Review 21:The downsides were 1.Bad attitude of the proprietor 2.Paper thin walls 3.No Bar 4.No restaurant 5.Can't-do attitude 6.Tired looking decor 7.Paper cups for coffee/tea!! 8.Proprietor had a fit when I politely asked was there a little milk for the coffee!!! - unbelievable! 9.Very high price for poor hotel 10.No staff on duty after 8:30 pm - bad for a hotel at this price! 11.Not a word exchanged at checkout (hilarious!!)
Review 22:The bed was comfortable and the location is pretty enough, near the lake (but not so close to restaurants in town)
Review 23:Restaurant closed no creamer or milk with tea/coffee makings inroom recommendation for san remo pizza place was way off the mark -awful place
Review 24:Friendly owner and relaxed atmosphere; great breakfast buffet. Loved theart-deco makeover the place has obviouly recently had
Review 25:No restaurant, bar closed at 21h, noise isolation not good between rooms. More like a large B & B than hotel
Review 26:Clean & modern rooms, breakfast fine (but expensive), location good to walk out to town & only 200m to ski bus
Review 27:No restaurant, no bar after 20h30, No TV/sitting room/ lounge after 20h30. No service after 20h30 Not a hotel but overpriced bed and breakfast.
