Reviews for Hotel Nevasur
Review 1:Breakfast was very poor, no service, things that are cooked need regreshing regulary Room needed decorating overall the price was expensive for the quality.
Review 2:Double room with 2 single beds stuck to each other and the worst thing was using two singles sheets and duvets!
Review 3:Breakfast is fair: there is a good choice of different foods available. Staff is very nice and helpful
Review 4:I have been visiting the Sierra Nevada for 10 years and have stayed in all categories of hotels and hostels on the mountain, in resort and in Granada but this hotel was by far the worst of the lot. The staff are miserable, the whole place looks like it needs a makeover and if you want a drink at the bar you have to ask the receptionist who calls the barman in a different part of the hotel and then when you pay for the drink he has to go to the reception as there is no till behind the bar. Can you imagine this on St. Patrick’s Day when most of the guests were Irish!! Oh, and you are not allowed to use the bar facilities after 11:30! This hotel has so much potential but is so poorly run.
Review 5:The views were great and not too far from the village centre.
Review 6:Booked in for an evening meal, food was cold and everyone was queuing to use the microwave to heat their food up
Review 7:Spacious rooms, warm , good location, parking outside, free wifi
Review 8:It was a rainy night and bedroom had several water leaks. Our mobiles and passport that were on the top of the bedside table got wet, bed got wet and we had no help from the staff apart of them simply providing us with buckets. We never had anyone coming and inspecting the room. We were told they would provide us with another room and would let us know however after several hours waiting for them to contact us we ended up going to the reception again where they then provided us with another room. Personally we felt that the staff did not seem all that surprised nor concerned whether our property had been damaged or not. Food not great but edible
Review 9:Location
Review 10:Breakfast was mediocre, when you could actually get in there to eat. Overcrowded with school parties and therefore very noisy. Lounge bar often not staffed. Poorly located and no parking facilities.
Review 11:Plenty of hot water and great views from the hotel lounge.
Review 12:Very bad hotel. Roomes smell like an animal died inside. Not clean. The only thing good on this hotel is the hot water. Half astar is more than enough for this hotel. Its a castle not hotel.
Review 13:It was full of very noisy teenagers. They were everywhere! The advertised rate was €2000 PER NIGHT. €60 is more like it but only because of the location. It is a tired hotel, as the lack of choice and stock in the bar proves. The room floor was dilapidated as was the bathroom.
Review 14:The staff, I would employ them. The view from the bar. Helpful with free parking.
Review 15:I will start by listing the things that didn't work, heater in room and bathroom, water heater, and bidet. The water when first turned on came out brown. The breakfast items are not consistent every day. A rude waiter at the hotel's restaurant. The wifi doesn't work after midnight. Lights out in the lobby after 1 am.
Review 16:The location of the hotel was great.
Review 17:Slow wifi. But it's free so not that bad.
Review 18:I really like the location. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is really good too.
Review 19:No wifi signal in room, shower broken. Breakfast not really impressive. Eatable, but only 1 type of bread, warm eggs, milk, juice and some meat / cheese. Could be a little more extensive.
Review 20:Nice location, free parking right next to the hotel (provided it's not full), clean room.
Review 21:good price value for money.
Review 22:location
Review 23:breakfast nice
Review 24:Location, staff, clean, good food, We got a good price. Short walk to ski shops and lifts
Review 25:Room to near fire door and over noisy entrance
Review 26:Location to slopes very friendly staff. The room very warm and comfortable
Review 27:Food in restaurant, cold, poor choice
Review 28:Bar staff hardly there more for family's
Review 29:Suffocatingly hot and stuffy. Breakfast was diabolical.
Review 30:The bar and the views.
Review 31:Too hot. Breakfast didn't start until 8am, too late.
Review 32:Clean and good bed. Reasonable breakfast
Review 33:No parking
Review 34:I wasn't expecting to be placed in the lap of luxury, but this hotel should really be graded as a hostel! Most of the staff didn't speak a word of English which I wouldn't have expected in an international resort. Thankfully Google translate helped out, but even when I asked for more towels in local dialect (they only gave us two for three people), three times on the phone they didn't even bother bringing them up! I really wouldn't recommend this place. It's a good location but a bit of a flea pit (oh, and the beds are hideously uncomfortable and the rooms hotter than the surface of the sun!)
Review 35:Location was good for the ski lifts but apart form that it was all a bit grim! Breakfast was included in our rate but I have tasted nicer cough medicine!
Review 36:My room was old and shabby although saying that my friends was nice, the breakfast wasn't too nice although there was nice fresh rolls.. the hot water was more warm so I couldn't enjoy a cup of tea :(
Review 37:the bed was comfy and the rooms were warm, shower worked well and had hot water.. that was about it...not enough for €260 for 2 nights for 2 people
Review 38:More choice from the bar would have been a bonus.
Review 39:A family friendly hotel in which we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in.It fulfilled the needs of 3 generations. Marvelous views from our room.Food tasty and plentiful. Would love to return in the future. Thanks for a great time
Review 40:No tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I know this is very common in European hotels.
Review 41:A very traditional ski resort hotel in a great location. The included meal in the evening was really good for a buffet and breakfast very adequate.
Review 42:The internet was down and I had to go to a nearby coffee house for wifi. The hotel was old and alittle run down.
Review 43:The view was good and the room was warm enough during winter. It was so warm that it felt like in the tropics :) The morning breakfast was nothing to shout about but it is good enough to keep you full.
Review 44:Not much to choose for your breakfast (no warm breakfast) no parking (highly recommend to take your bags 1st by car then look for parking (local parking around 300m))
Review 45:Good price, comfortable, warm, both stays i have had a good view.
Review 46:Location. It is a slog to walk back uphill to the hotel after a days skiing. Miserable receptionist who told our friend playing a guitar in the bar to stop, when everyone in the bar (strangers too) were enjoying it.
Review 47:Price. Clean
Review 48:The lady on Reception wore a perpetual expression that would freeze hot water. She never smiled & made our group move around the public areas because we entertained ourselves in the evening with a little guitar playing - nothing loud or raucous though. Other guests felt her reaction was rude and unreasonable. The food was adequate but thank goodness there was a microwave available as the hot dishes at breakfast and dinner were lukewarm at best. In addition the bar had no white wine in stock for 2 days!!
Review 49:Our room was warm & had a lovely view of the slopes; it was clean & the beds comfortable. Would have appreciated a waste paper bin near the dressing table.
Review 50:Central heating is on a timer which is controlled by the hotel reception...don't come off the slopes early in search of warmth.
Review 51:Excellent value for money ,quiet ,good location ,awesome views of the mountain, clean, comfortable and relaxed. 3 stars is spot on for the price.
Review 52:Very small towels (not suitable for shower/bath). One bed missing ablanket. Plug in bath kept coming out. All minor problems only.
Review 53:Clean and comfortable and excellent position. Good choice of breakfast
Review 54:Too far from the public car park - had to walk a long way up steps carrying luggage up to the Hotel.. Should have been told to drive to hotel and drop off luggage before parking car in under ground car park.
Review 55:Room was good - staff were friendly
Review 56:The breakfast was boring with no fresh fruit or vegetables. The hot chocolate and coffee was really bad. As previous people have said the rooms were almost too hot to sleep in so at midnight we too opened a window, but knowing this in beforehand it was quite ok, just a waste of heat.
Review 57:The hotel was decent for the price you pay in that ski-resort. The room we got was perfectly clean and even if the staff had a hard time communicating in English she tried hard to help us with wathever questions or needs. The location was also good considering the price, ~7 min walk. Good value for money. (Parking on the hotel yard.
Review 58:Hotel full of 14/16 yr old Spanish students put on several floors including ours.........very noisy! When complained to reception the answer was the teacher will tell them at midnight to be quiet. Probably couldnt tell the time!! 2.30am still making loads of noise!! Perhaps Hotel should let other people know when schools have booked rooms in bulk.......or even put them on the same floor away from others..............spoilt the stay. No places to park nearby as side of roads full of piled up snow...........parked in public carpark in plaza....hence the steep walk up.
Review 59:Size of room and bathroom very good. and lovely views of bedroom balconies. Nice to have a bath with plenty of hot water after a days skiing!! Everywhere very clean, staff friendly and helpful except one man. (see bad points) Value for money. Lovely bar area with a consevatory looking over the village and ski slopes. Close to village but steep walk up to Hotel, (hence the reasonable price). Food OK and adequate for the price!
Review 60:The walls were really thin and we were awoken till 2.30am with peoplenext door having a party. There was no parking facility No room service no view although it states clearly on the website that we would have a room with a view they charged my card without authorisation my luggage was left in a room the next day and no supervision, anybody could have taken them no facility for children, ie milk, bottle, etc up in the mountain so to get to any supermarket was a long walk down and up a hill
Review 61:The receptionist was lovely and very helpful
Review 64:Apathetic hotel management. We were told to park outside the hotel onFriday night, and were snowed in by Sunday. The hotel had no snowclearing equipment (for a ski hotel this might be a valid investment)and only one member of staff was on hand to help us dig out not only ourcar but 4 others. Plus we had to buy our own spade. After 3 hours ofdigging out the driveway, we left the Hotel Nevasur for the last time.
Review 65:Good location for skiing, nice bar area, good breakfast.
Review 66:Whilst well behaved it became a bit noisy and hectic (particularly at meal times) when a school party arrived for my last 2 days.
Review 67:It pretty much provided everything I'd expect from a budget 3 star hotel: basic but good quality buffet style hot and cold food with plenty of choice; slightly dated but clean and comfortable rooms; extremely helpful and polite staff; as it was quiet I was able to park at the hotel (first come first served appears to be the policy despite saying no parking on the details); overall excellent value for money in a ski resort
Review 68:The heating in our room was on a ridiculously high setting which wecould not adjust. The window had to be fully opened throughout the nightto get any sleep and although this was ok it was a waste of heat. The tvwith its many channels had nothing in English.
Review 69:Staff friendly but only one had any English. Although clean thelaminate floor in the bedroom was damaged. The views from our room werefantastic and for which you would normally pay a premium. There wasalways more than enough to eat at meal times but mediocre cooking ofthe ingredients. The quality of choice deteriorated when a couple ofschool parties arrived and the kitchen concentrated on producing mealsfor the lower price these parties had obviously paid for theirlodgings. For the price paid the location was excellent although asteep climb up two sets of steps had to be negotiated from the townsquare. The alternative would have been to pay considerably more for ahotel in the square. The internet connection that we experienced in ourroom was excellent and we were able to watch British via the net. Wewould definitely stay here again.
Review 70:The food was set out in the dining room and left to go cold, only to be reheated by guests in an old microwave oven - not satisfactory at all. Atmosphere in the hotel was cold and unwelcoming.
Review 71:Not much
Review 72:Not very many parking spaces in hotel grounds but plenty of public spaces near.
Review 73:Hotel staff very friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. Cleanliness second to none in both bedrooms and public areas. Food was excellent, lots of choice and everything sampled by all the family was lovely. Location was good, close to main plaza, although a small up-hill climb back to the hotel but you are on a mountain! All in all the hotel was a great place to return to after a long day out, lovely and cosy open fire in lounge area and very toasty and comfortable rooms with abundant hot water to relax in.
Review 74:Please read above !I'll rate this hotel & festive experience ZERO I have stayed several times in this ski resort as its local Ziryab Melia etc etc This hovel had Disgusting food - no white wine ! - no beer from the pumps - no fires lit - Dracula welcome ! Utter hateful !
Review 75:Absolutely nothing ! Welcome 'hostile' ! Ambiance 'Nil' The hbexperience was 2nd to none ! I have travelled across the world & nevereven in the worse hotels have I had to microwave my own & family dinnerfrom stone cold !! Unhygenic, and unacceptable !!! We vacated saiddining room immediately & went for dimner in a restaurant ! I havephoto's to prove these points if you want them ! I live in Spain & thisexperience was disgraceful please do yourself a favour & strike them offyour site !
Review 76:Hotel location is great only a short walk to lifts, breakfast was standard continental but the dinner looked un inviting so ate in a lovely pizzeria 100 yes down the road
Review 77:Short walk to the gondola even though the walk back is uphill which canbe very tirering, but u can take a bus which stops right outside thehotel after a day on the slopes..gorgeous views in whatever room youget..buffet breakfast good selection
Review 78:stafff were very helpful. location not far from ski area.rooms were well furnished and clean.again staff were very friendly helpful it seems like a family run hotel. only one complant eve meal not very hot perhaps we were late.? yes i would book again wilf
Review 79:This hotel is expensive for what you get, the rooms are clean but smalland have seen better days .The hotel is used by schools foraccomodation. It is ok if you are on a school trip and like schooldinners. Not a hotel we would recommend.
