Reviews for Hotel la Bona Casa

Review 1:It was very cute with a tiny reception.Very French in décor.Made most welcome by friendly ,helpful staff. Also clean and well decorated with a pretty little courtyard.

Review 2:Room and bath a bit small. No parking for hotel and that's a problem if you're driving a car.

Review 3:The owners are great, very helpful. The location is good and it's definitely great value.

Review 4:There is no parking, I had to ask for a hairdryer. No tea/coffee making facility, no water in the room. No lift. Poor sound insulation.

Review 5:Positioned in the centre of the town close to the railway station and the beach.

Review 6:had patio room .patio very small. tiny. Didn't have breakfast in patio only enough room for one to eat. Room was a triple but really only for two.

Review 7:Staff were great. location perfect.

Review 8:lovely wee charming hotel, convenient to everything you need, bakery, supermarket, bars, restaurents all few feet away and beaches 5min dander.bus stop next street and train less than 10mins.room was spotless clean, modern tastefully decorated. I was on street side & slept well even with window open! you will get the early morning delivery noises but didn't bother me&needs to be done before tourist traffic arrives. owners were at reception during day&maids linzi&sophie were very friendly&helpful. no problem recommending this hotel.

Review 9:Slightly difficult to find a parking space for the car without walking a long distance.

Review 10:Very good location of the hotel near the old town and a short walk to one of the beaches. Our family room (two separate small rooms with a door in between) was newly renovated and the air conditioning was working perfect. We had a very good stay!

Review 11:Nothing everything was great Enjoyed my stay immensely very personal

Review 12:Friendly and helpful with suggestions of things about to happen, fun outings, market days etc totally lovely and would not hesitate to recommend

Review 13:Had a great time no issues or dislikes

Review 14:Beautiful room, air conditioned which was needed! Staff and owners very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Very clean and pretty hotel. Perfect position in the town.

Review 15:Parkování je problém. Vše okolo je placené a většinou i plné.

Review 16:Útulný příjemný hotýlek. Je prakticky v centru - vše v dosahu. Ochotná recepční poradí kde zaparkovat zdarma a kde se dobře najíst.

Review 17:I didn't realise when booking that breakfast wasn't included. Breakfast was fine but it wasn't the same everyday.

Review 18:The location is great, the owner and staff are friendly, breakfast is simple but tasty and the wifi is great

Review 19:I was woken on a couple of occasions by staff at the bakery next door using an electronic winch to raise parcels up to the first floor, at 4 am. This is not the fault of the hotel but it did wake me up as the winch was noisy. It only lasted 5 minutes to be fair, but once woken I can't get back to sleep. Otherwise quiet with windows shut.

Review 20:The hotel has a great location and staff very helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

Review 21:No elevator so beware if you have heavy luggage. A little pricey but understandable considering location and peak season.

Review 22:Fantastic location right on Main Street near the harbour. Lovely (but small) room with ensuite. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options.

Review 23:Well located. Ten minute walk from station. Centre of town with many resteraunts, shops, waterfront nearby. Small but comfortable room. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Good WIFI. Street side room but not noisy when windows closed. Usual continental breakfast is fine, however many other places to eat nearby, including sea views.

Review 24:No parking facilities was very inconvenient. It added extra costs as parking by the meter in Collioure is expensive. You had to keep an eye on time to run out to the meter. The shower in our room was tiny also.

Review 25:The hotel is just a stroll from everything in the town which we loved. Hotel was clean and very well maintained. Staff were very friendly also.

Review 26:No bad experiences.

Review 27:The hotel was ideally situated. It was in the centre of the small town. The room was fresh and modern, and our host was very pleasant and most helpful.

Review 28:The bed linen was badly stained with a large ironing watermark, skimpy quilt, no furniture, like a bad hostel, bathroom tiny with tiny shower and sink and poor water regulation, toilet ran permanently. Noise from the street intolerable from 5am with deliveries etc.

Review 29:The location is ideal but that's where it ends

Review 30:Out of season experience: did not feel welcomed as the hotel door was closed when we arrived, and if I had not spoken french, it would have been hard to communicate in telephone..

Review 31:Wifi not good in my room but good in reception area. Owner is going to try to improve this matter.

Review 32:Good central location, friendly profession owner, very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast good with quality conserves, tea, coffee and breads.

Review 33:The owner was a bit uptight.

Review 34:The location was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable but fairly compact with a small bathroom. Fine for a short stay.

Review 35:Should have arrived earlier and stayed longer!

Review 36:The town Lindsey from Lincoln incredibly helpful and courteous Simple but clean and comfortable rooms.

Review 37:The only caveat that I can give you, not about the hotel, but about the town, is to find parking and don't move your car. Typical paid parking spots are good for only 4 hours. There is one place up the hill that has paid 24 hour parking, but other then that, if you have the good fortune to find a non paid (good for 24 hours plus) parking spot, count your blessings and don't move your car.

Review 38:What you may lack in room space in this gem, you will more than make up in it's location. Walk outside and the bustling sidewalks of Collioure greet you. The hotel is hosted by a very lovely lady, who takes pride in her place and her guests. Should you get to this lovely little hamlet, the Bona Casa is a good house to check into.

Review 39:It stated in our booking form that check in was between 2pm and 6pm. We arrived at just after two and the hotel was locked. We struggled with our cases and went for a coffee. After an hour we returned and it was still locked. We then lugged our cases to the local Tourist centre and they kindly phoned the Bona Casa for us - only to be told the receptionist was having her lunch and would we wait a further thirty minutes until she had finished.... Even the lady at the Tourist centre was in disbelief! This is NOT customer care. We were finally admitted at just after 4pm by a rather snooty woman who thought it was our fault, not hers. At this point she could not even find our booking and we had to wait around until she sorted it out. It was a nice hotel, but definitely not worth the hassle we were given.

Review 40:Room was nice with a view over roof tiles (although it was booked with a view of the patio?). Great location for the town and sight seeing. Collioure is fabulous.

Review 41:Minor: shower drained only if drain cover was removed. Might ask for one of the larger rooms next time as ours was teensy.

Review 42:Helpfulness of Dani, tho on street, shutters created quiet for sleep, Wi-Fi the best so far. Dani even loaned us her personal beach towels. Close to everything. Liked deco too, blue 'n white.

Review 43:This room was fine for my husband and I but would not have been suitable for any one with mobiltiy problems

Review 44:The settinbg was very close to the sea the out look although to the street was quiet. The room was bright and rustic.

Review 45:Colioure very over subscribed. No parking at all near and needing maintenance to machines

Review 46:Good quality furnishings, decor and breakfast in boutique original

Review 47:Owners absent from property in the afternoon Shower was tiny Only one bedside table in a double room The Carrefour trucks arrive to stock the shop next door at five in the morning......very noisy despite double glazing Car boot sale furnishings No cover on the duvet!!

Review 48:Close to centre of town Clean Next to Carrefour deli

Review 49:Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lovely family run hotel.Comfortable accommodation ,great location and wonderful staff that made us feel very welcome.Highly recommended

Review 50:Nothing.

Review 51:A charming, friendly, family-run hotel. Great location - just a couple of minutes from the town centre. Beautifully decorated in keeping with the old character building. Good quality furnishings and fittings. We loved sitting on our tiny 'terrace' looking out at the palm trees and roof tops.

Review 52:A little hotel in the middle of a the most beautiful village. Best ice-cream on our Europe tour is three doors down from Hotel. A must see on your southern France holidays.

Review 53:The woman at reception seemed more interested in her shop than hotel. .

Review 54:Location, view on to street. Bed very comfortable and clean. Lyndsay was excellent, so helpful.

Review 55:There was no parking. You had to search for place which wasn't an easy task because Collioure is very busy village. Moreover when you found one you had to pay for it. A table to write something on or to put your pc on would be interesting.

Review 56:Very close to the center of the village. Friendly acquaintance.

Review 57:Nothing not to like.

Review 58:La Bona Casa is just lovely. Our family room was small but beautiful, nicely appointed and our two children loved their little adjoining room. We've struggled in the past finding suitable family accommodation and this was really perfect. The owners were pleasant and helpful at all times. The location is brilliant - a couple of minutes walk from the harbour with a great bakery and small supermarket just next door. Collioure is a lovely town and La Bona Casa the perfect place to enjoy it. We recommend it 100%.

Review 66:Wonderful kind and friendly staff, beautiful breakfast, the personal touch. Cute rooms, comfortable and clean. Location perfect.

Review 67:Very small room. A decorative baby bed fills a space where a table or desk would be more useful. Noise from neibors and downstairs.

Review 98:- Wi-fi just works at reception - Balcony door did not close well

Review 99:- Great location - Very Good Breakfast - Clean

Review 100:That beach towels were not available for clients' use. The fact that there was not always someone present at the check-in/ check-out desk.

Review 101:The location was perfect in the centre of the town. It was easy to find and was very close to stores and restaurants.

Review 102:Nothing

Review 103:Lovely, well appointed hotel slap bang in the town centre. Ideal forstaying & light breakfast. Easy reach of beach, restaurants &bars.Short term car park close by & larger one 5 minute walkreasonable rates, 24 hours 10.1 Euro

Review 104:Small, no air conditioning but will come next year! But excellent value for the money.

Review 105:Owner were extremely cordial and helpful. Fantastic location just across from port beaches and restaurants and old town and castle, etc.

Review 106:The twin room that was apparently able to accommodate 3 adults was likea shed and very small. It was appalling. Not value for money at all. Itwas so bad we left early. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Review 107:No air conditioning. This meant sleeping with the windows open so we heard babies crying during the night and some monsieur yelling at his wife one evening. But hey, this is centuries old French urban living and I can understand how everyone knows everyone else' business.

Review 108:Location was perfect. Right in the center of all town. We were a family of 5 and we had rooms 4 and 5 with our own patio with chairs and a tables. A perfect setup to lounge, eat French bread and cheese and talk about how beautiful Collioure was.

Review 109:Wi-Fi was inconsistent

Review 110:Very clean with friendly staff right in centre of village.

Review 111:Very helpful and accommodating host..very friendly. Would recommend!! A hot water kettle and cups in the room would have been a welcome addition.

Review 118:the location, clean hotel nice but small rooms

Review 119:stairs tricky with large bags

Review 120:good location , very friendly and helpful staff, we liked our little patio. Collioure itself is charming and intersting

Review 121:The bathroom was very tiny - sink too small to wash your face in.
