Reviews for Le Mas Saint Florent
Review 1:Overpriced and dinner was average. Some lack of details that you would expect in such a place (shower handle, amenities, slippers. ..).
Review 2:A very welcoming atmosphere. Warm and cozy. Very good breakfast.
Review 3:Beautiful, elegant house and grounds - charming owners. wonderful food - evening meals and breakfasts are excellent. Big spacious bedrooms and lovely public rooms with open fires, books, and comfortable sofas. Relaxed atmosphere. Fabulous!
Review 4:Too far from evening dining mostly in off season. Also a failure for sticking to price quoted by you. We booked for 3 nights stayed an extra 3 at same quoted price and we're hit by full price of 30% more for nights 7 and 8. If not from that I was ready to give it a score of 9.
Review 5:Great facility, quiet, comfortable, great location to explore most of south west Provence from.
Review 6:There was nothing negative apart from having to leave
Review 7:Gilbert was a very attentive and helpfull host. The site is very pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was of very high quality
Review 8:The room was large and comfortable. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Their dinner option was outstanding and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were very good, but a little expensive.
Review 9:We loved the house and environs, the olive and fig trees, sitting on the patio with a glass of wine. Mot of all, we experienced Gilbert's amazing cooking skills when he made us dinner one night. We would stay there again, and again, and again!
Review 10:Had to ask for access code to wifi, when info brochure said code not required. No fridge or kettle or glasses etc available in rooms which makes things difficult when travelling with young kids.
Review 11:Beautiful home. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic, though breakfast a little exxy.
Review 12:Everything! The stylish and nice host. The beautiful and natural garden. The cozy and elegant suite. We came with our little girl and the furniture of her room was even in her size! Amazing! Hope to be there again! Oh, and the two big dogs were really polite and quiete.
Review 13:Way too far fron centre of Arles. The heating was poor. No soap bar or shampoo.
Review 14:The proprietor was very accomodating. The Mas was genuine, spacious and had this old world style of the ancien regime.
Review 15:Our bathroom and toilet were two separate en suite rooms, but without heating. Small portable heater provided, but in the cold winter months (December in our case) these areas can get chilly.
Review 16:Welcoming host, offered full use of premises for reading, relaxing, etc Very useful tips on when and where to visit, both local sites and restaurants. Breakfast bountiful, homemade or hand-picked. Dinner (well-worth a try) must be booked at breakfast and when my wife was too ill to dine, we were not charged. Host even prepared a thyme infusion to help her convalesce.
Review 17:Finding this gorgeous oasis - yet one phone call to Gilbert put us back on track when our GPS failed
Review 18:Gilbert's fabulous meals, comfort of room and facilities, security, parking, wifi, very homely atmosphere and made so welcome.
Review 19:Very relaxed place to stay. Owner is extremely helpful and arranged horse riding for our daughter at the last minute which made her holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would love to go back.

Review 30:Exceptional Estate, with a welcoming Host and family. They made my wife's birthday the most memorable, going above and beyond a special meal prepared for her….even their Breakfast array of delicacies, a must!
Review 31:We loved the decor, the overall feel,of the house, The rooms were all different and all very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious. The owner made us feel welcome, and gave us good advice on things to see.
Review 32:Like a beautiful dream, this chateau in the lovely Arles countryside was the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. Gilbert was the perfect host, and our massive room on the ground floor had its own little terrace to enjoy our afternoon wine. So perfect, hated to leave
Review 33:House is not that close to Arles at night and was tricky to get back to on the dark roads - entrance needs to be better lit and marked.
Review 34:Beautiful spot, rooms large and comfortable with good breakfast buffett but late for me - 9 a..m. Charming host and exquisite property
Review 35:Leaving
Review 36:Our stay at this guesthouse was very relaxing even with a two year old. The owner Gilbert was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with a super comfortable bed. We liked the separate bedroom for our daughter. We really enjoyed wandering around the pretty gardens and our daughter loved the dogs, chickens and horses. We would stay here again!
Review 37:Dinners were good to excellent, except on the night Gilbert wasn't there. On that night veg was over cooked and generally the meal was poor.
Review 38:We liked the beautiful house filled with antiques and Gilbert's wonderful art collection. Pool was large. Dinners under a canopy in candlelight was also great! Gilbert is a great host, very warm and friendly.
Review 39:Unfortunately the road noise was a detraction from an otherwise superb property. Surpringly given the house's country setting, traffic noise was definitely audible when you were outside and particularly so as we tried to relax near the pool. The room could also do with some more lighting; it was quite dark even during the day.
Review 40:The house was amazing, steeped in history and beautifully furnished. Gilbert's service was excellent - he was friendly, helpful with recommendstions and a great cook - the breakfasts and dinner we had at Mas St Florent were delicious. The room was large, cool and comfortable and then beautiful claw-foot bath was great treat after a day of sightseeing. Being able to have the choice to dine in or not was also a bonus. The pool and spa area were very nice too.
Review 41:Guest rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The owner suggested areas to visit which we found to be helpful. Overall a fantastic chateau with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Review 44:This wonderful country house is grand yet welcoming. Gilbert & Inez are delightful and welcoming. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated each one unique. The house is also quite lovely filled with beautiful art and artifacts. Drinks in the conservatory were followed by a wonderful dinner of local produce and wine to suit. The grounds are delightful, rambling gardens, a wet edge pool and lovely special places. Breakfast is superb, fresh juices, breads, croissants, fruits and yoghurts, ham, cheese and lots of other sweet treats. Gilbert cooks and bakes...what a guy! A very special place near Arles a fabulous city on the Rhone river.
Review 45:This beautiful property is situated quite close to Arles. It is set in the countryside amongst files and very lovely gardens. The building is magnificent a Maison M'maitre in the style of grand Provence. The rooms are large and very tastefully decorated. The rest of the house is quite lovely, and ambiance most pleasing to the eye and soul. Our hosts were very welcoming and even our dog was made very welcome and had friends to play with in the garden. We will be back!! A wonderful property and perfect base to explore Arles and other towns and attractions in Provence.
Review 46:This was an excellent stay and i will be back.

Review 49:It was just like staying in someone's house for the weekend. Not a hotel.
