Reviews for L'Hôtel Particulier
Review 1:Hotel does not have restaurant on property. Its easy to walk to other places around. But for 5 star hotel it should have place available
Review 2:Great location once you find this gem in the city. Very friendly staff and beautiful grounds and garden. Loved out room #6 with huge terrace
Review 3:We reserved a room "classified" That was unattractive and seriously overpriced. Offered to be moved to a more expensive room for an extra 30-40 euros per night.
Review 4:Old house renovated. Rooms very different one from the other. Common spaces small
Review 5:The place was beautiful however, I got two splinters in my foot from the wood. I suggest that you wear thr slippers. I have travelled quite abit and back packed Europe as well as stayed in 5 stars resorts and hotels. It seemed alittle overpriced.
Review 6:Beautiful. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. They booked us reservations for supper and the food was quite good.
Review 7:I just want to suggest a few details that are missing. The new bathroom in room 11 could use shelves for guests to put their toiletries on. Also the breakfast room could have more lighting.
Review 8:The hotel was absolutely charming. It felt like home. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. Room 11 was perfect, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets immaculate.
Review 9:Good combination of the classic and the modern in this charming and peaceful city centre hotel. Staff were friendly and happy to make reservations for dinner at good local restaurants.
Review 10:Loved it all, but although the little streets getting there are charming, they are hard to navigate for first time visitors.
Review 11:This is a hotel to experience - it is hard to describe without being there. The rooms are exquisite and decorated with a blend of fine white linens and beautful antiques. The staff is attentive to every detail, down to the pressed, monogrammed linens at breakfast. Highly recommend to the most discerning traveler.
Review 12:Didn't like the 21stC "hip" decor in handsome old building. Also absurdly overpriced. We stayed in three Relais et Chateaux hotels on this trip--all MUCH more beautiful and luxurious than this place, and all charging about 2/3 the crazy rate charged here. Poor value for money.
Review 13:Okay place, but not great.
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:Staff, decoration, bathroom, breakfast- The hotel is just darling, the staff is extremely conscientious and fun, it's two blocks from the Place de la Forum, it's just perfect.
Review 16:wine selection in the lobby Rabanel restaurant nearby
Review 17:one of the best boutique hotels in Provence. Really 5 star Smell Music Design Nice and helpful staff Everything
Review 18:The only negative was another guest had a baby who cried a lot.
Review 19:The staff were just lovely, it made such a difference as nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was also beautiful and conveniently located. It was fairly priced for the quality.
Review 20:No elevator in our wing so we walked with our bags up a flight of the mansion wing.
Review 21:Visited for one night this August. Wonderful boutique hotel on a very small side street within walking distance of all major sites.
Review 22:We had booked a classic room for our weekend in Arles but after check in discovered that the room allocated to us (No. 10) was very noisy and we could hear every conversation in the street below. The hotel management unhesitatingly upgraded us to a prestige room overlooking the courtyard ensuring a peaceful nights sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel and return next time I am in Arles.
Review 23:Lovely rooms. Great court yard for breakfast. Attentive, helpful staff however made all the difference. A fitness centre is the only thing I think was missing- to balance out all the great French food in town.
Review 24:What a gorgeous hotel! It is an oasis of peace and tranquility as soon as you ring the bell and step through the large black front door. Beautiful garden and pool area, wonderfully helpful staff and so close to everything Arles has to offer. We would stay here again in an instant!
Review 25:Pool has no railing on steps so unless u r thin and fit it's impossible to use without braking your neck There are limited plugs in room Shower was slippery and dangerous unless ur fit and thin Staff didn't really go out of their way if it involved too much work
Review 26:Super comfortable beds and pillows Great location very central Beautiful rooms and great visuals and aesthetics
Review 27:We had room 3 which decor wise was lovely but had very poor lighting in bathroom and bedroom. Had a very annoying automatic light though in the room's entrance way which amazingly was the bathroom too. This came on automatically when you got up to go to the bathroom during the night disturbing both myself and husband. Talked to hotel about these issues and I am sure they would have righted them very quickly as they seemed caring and industrious.
Review 28:Decor and ambiance was excellent. Outside area was wonderful.and staff very helpful. Very good beds.
Review 29:Personal service the staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The beauty of the entire hotel was breathtaking Breakfasts were delicious, fresh and changed every morning if we requested something different they did their best to get it for us
Review 30:Very friendly and helpful staff - always willing to help. Wifi was spotty in the room.
Review 31:No complains
Review 32:Staff was excellent. Hotel Concept really awesome Fantastic breakfast A bit expensive
Review 33:no elevater
Review 34:service by staff
Review 35:Another French hotel with excessive charges for breakfast
Review 36:Fabulous boutique hotel in the centre of Arles, a little oasis of calm and luxury
Review 37:Room fittings were over designed and under engineered and hence not that easy to use.
Review 38:Location
Review 39:Poor facitlities, not 1 5-star and poor value for money.
Review 40:Nothing.
Review 41:people in "group" have been privatizing the bar and salon place ... it was a little uppsetting.
Review 42:kindness of people, decoration, calm.
Review 43:Awkward furnishings in the room
Review 44:Helpful, friendly staff. Nice property.
Review 45:The location is central, the hotel itself is very nice. We enjoyed our time and the staff was attentive to all of our needs.
Review 46:The smell
Review 47:Television coverage not good for English speakers.
Review 48:Staff were caring , efficient and knowledgable.
Review 49:A boutique hotel that looked after it's clients
Review 50:more storage or stool space in the bathroom would have been better
Review 51:the decor and attention to each detail. staff was extremely helpful and was willing to speak English
Review 52:The only down side was all the pool lounge chairs together were occupied and it would have been great if someone would have offered to move them together for us, or offered to move to allow my mother and I to relax by the pool. It was our only day staying there and we would have appreciated the chance to recline by the pool.
Review 53:I loved the welcoming staff, being greeted with fresh squeezed juice and elegant cookies upon arrival, service that anticipated our needs for concierge help with booking restaurant reservations, the gorgeous grounds and having food and drinks served to us on silver trays with fresh flowers. Probably the best place I've ever stayed!
Review 54:Having to leave at the end of our holiday.
Review 55:Our room, cuisine incl. room service, helpful English speaking and cheerful staff, convenient location in the lovely, interesting town, and excellent valet parking.
Review 56:The room (23) was partitioned to make the Bathroom area which itself was small, unfinished and poorly lit. Chairs in room were upright and uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time.
Review 57:Great staff relations with lovely people who were interested in our comfort and assistance; wonderful outdoor courtyard - great place for breakfast. Exterior and interior were feasts for the eyes. This was a charming old building - a wonderful respite from Arles old town. Well appointed room with wonderful linens, cozy towels, every amenities you would desire.
Review 58:Absolutely nothing.
Review 59:This hotel is spectacular. The staff, our room, everything. It was absolutely perfect. So beautiful. All the flowers. White roses in the garden and white peonies everywhere else. If I could rate it more than 100% I would. They recommended restaurants within walking distance that we enjoyed.
Review 60:There is no receptionist till 8am.... Nightmare for early check out.
Review 61:Place, atmosphere and rooms lived up and beyond our expectations. Staff extremely helpful and friendly... Will be back :)
Review 62:I could say price, but we have stayed in places twice as expensive with half the amenities and service. It's hard to put a price on having port and cheese on sterling service platter beside a wonderful fireplace in the common area, or freshly baked pastries out for the guests.
Review 63:Service at this hotel was super. They happily fulfilled every request, and advised us expertly. We were outside the normal time for breakfast one morning waking late, but the desk clerk 'put on the hat' of the dining attendant just for us. This hotel is a 5 star experience for sure.
Review 64:Not appropriate for travelers with mobility issues. No lifts and lots of stairs.
Review 65:The hotel is an elegant mix of old and new. A two hundred year old mansion that has maintained it's 19th century character while decorated with a chic touch.
Review 66:Nothing. However it is expensive.
Review 67:The secret door from the street opens onto a magical courtyard; we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff and shown to the loveliest room ever. We used everything! The spa bath with underwater lighting, the terrace, bar and pool. We could return in a heartbeat!
Review 68:Attention to detail, fantastic service in every regard. Walking through the entrance into a gorgeous garden, was instantly calming. We loved every minute of our stay.
Review 69:Room phone was not working and was never fixed. Room safe did not work and no Instructions accompanying it. Several windows although private did not have shades.
Review 70:You enter from the street through the large courtyard doors into a stunning garden with a pool. This hotel has been completely renovated and is now stylish and romantic. They are very aware of the little details that make for a luxurious stay. Decorated to be chic with a rustic feel. It is a relaxing place to stay.
Review 71:Very limited services in 'early-season' just after Easter, so wewere forced out in heavy rain for meals. Not what I expected in a costly5-star hotel that advertises its restaurant facilities.
Review 72:Oasis of tree-lined courtyard in old buildings in the busy town ofArles. Quirky but intriguing and luxurious surroundings. Must be greatin warm weather. Very helpful staff booked us into interestingrestaurants in the town.
Review 73:the access by car...and not well explained when booked
