Reviews for Roques
Review 1:We have stayed for 1 night. We would have expected a receptionist who can speak a little bit English, if they run a hotel, for tourists. The beds were extremly soft, which is not healthy for a body. The wifi was ok, but we had to give personal details to sign-up, everytime.
Review 2:Good parking, good breakfast, clean rooms.
Review 3:Very disapointed pool was closed at the beginning of June. Coming from the UK it was the main reason we booked the hotel for somewhere to relax and enjoy the weather.
Review 4:Nice outside area. Rooms very clean and nicely decorated.
Review 5:The wifi was free but we had a terrible time to get on and stay on. The fridge didn't work. we had only one towel and when we realized it was too late to ask for another one because the reception closes at 20.30. The room was next to the breakfast room so in the morning we could hear everything.
Review 6:It was close to Avignon so we used public transport. parking.
Review 7:In the middle of the night someone started to ring the door bell and it was so loud in the whole hotel that we were woken up. It went on for about an hour with some minutes of interruption. We thought it was someone that had forgot the code to open the door. At some time we were even frightened because we feared it was the fire alarm. This can happen very easily because, when you check in, the receptionist gives you a small piece of paper with the code and I believe that people may easily loose it. The day after the owner told us that is was a beggar and that they called the police for this. Can it be that police does not dolve this big issue in a matter of minutes?
Review 8:We had the most wonderful stay at Roques Hotel right outside Avignon. A short way into town by bus that runs several times an hour. The best hosts one could ask for. We loved the spaciuos room and the pool.
Review 9:None

Review 13:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location with a 5 minute ride to Avignon.
Review 14:Wifi non existent essentially, advertised with fridge but note on fridge request it's only for hotel purchasable items.
Review 15:Nice owners. Great pool
Review 16:I didn't book for long enough.
Review 17:Clean,very comfortable small hotel, friendly service. Nice pool after a hot day visiting the area with an outside patio area for eating or drinks. Good restaurants nearby and bus stop nearby to go to Avignon(difficult for parking). Easy access to roads to visit Nimes,Pont du Gard,Orange,Chateauneuf,Arles, les Baux en Provence. The couple who run the hotel are fantastic and knowledgible and very welcoming.Relaxing! The room was well decorated and bigger than I expected.
Review 18:Very good overnight place to stay. Good sized room ( for 3) - air conditioned and a great small swimming pool. Breakfast was good. Excellent restaurant ( la tonnelle) within walking distance.
Review 19:Owned by a very lovely couple! Very clean and big rooms, comfortable bed, lovely pool. Breakfast is simple but very good, fresh mini croissants and baguette with spreads, yoghurt, orange juice and coffee or tea. Can't really fault this place. Location does mean you will need a car should you want to travel into Avignon.
Review 20:Toilet room is very cramped and if your a little tall your knees mightnot fit in the room when you sit down!! Most hotels do not charge forchildren under 2 years old, but this hotel does.
Review 21:Conviently located near Avignon. Good free parking at the hotel. Goodstop if your visiting Avignon and then want to go to Pont du Gard thenext day. The room and bath were clean and tidy. The owners were veryfriendly and helpful. English is spoken.
Review 22:It is a family run Hotel. The owners and staff were very friendly, polite and helpfull, and gave good suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The room was convenient, and the atmosphere of the hotel is very nice.
Review 23:The location was not the best. Although only a 10 minute bus ride into Avignon, the buses finished at about half nine in the evening and there was not much choice close to the hotel in regard to bars or restaraunts.
Review 24:The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Review 25:The owners were very nice, and gave good sugestions for restaurants andplaces to visit. The room is good, and the atmosphere of the hotel isreally nice.
Review 26:Bed was a bit small for a Superior Room
Review 27:Great reception with very helpful owners, good size room with working air conditioning, excellent shower, free parking and very close to Avignon
Review 28:The ad "you can enjoy regional cuisine at the Roques hotel, accompanied by a fine selection of wines" is FALSE : The restaurant closed a year ago ! The mini bar was broken We had to use the decoder to watch standard television Absolutely nothing justified the high price we paid for a rather small room and bathroom (no bath), even if the Avignon festival was given to us as an excuse !
Review 29:The super friendly owners. They make the difference! I think they are the stars of The hotel.
Review 30:The wifi is not working, almost offline every 2min, even sitting in the hall.
Review 31:Nice hotel in a quiet beautiful small town, very comfortable.
