Reviews for P-Hotels Bergen
Review 1:1) Room is too small 2) Bathroom very congested 3) No telephone 4) Very Poor Heater 5) Hair Dryer not working 6) TV not working 7) Breakfast was horrible--gave two bread slice & juice in a box...no tea / coffee
Review 2:Location is good
Review 3:-
Review 4:Our stay at P Hotel was great. It was exactly what we needed and in a great location. All the staff were really friendly and very helpful during our stay with regards to advising us on where to visit. Easy access to the mountains, Ulriken is 20minutes by bus, as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. Would recommend to a friend.
Review 5:Breakfast is not good. I think if they could not provide a simple but healthy breakfast, no breakfast is fine to me.
Review 6:Staff are very very friendly here, room is simple but clean. The location is near the train station and not hard to find.
Review 7:The first night we checked in there's an Asian staff, which is super unfriendly and rude, and I don't like the breakfast. Not worth the money
Review 8:I like the location, and one of the male staff (young one) which is friendly
Review 9:If you can't cope with noise, avoid it on big holidays or Saturday nights. Room felt a little Spartan.
Review 10:Room was large, location was amazing, no problems with staff.
Review 11:Breakfast included means: a sandwich and small bottle of juice delivered to your door handle around 7am - coffee needs to be taken and paid for at reception...
Review 12:Heated bathroom floor
Review 13:P-Hotels and/or Booking.com should not promote P-Hotels breakfast.Do not let the free breakfast be the reason for choosing P-Hotels overanother hotel.
Review 14:We did not like : Dirty under bed, noise /3 big clubs very noisy everyday not only in weekend like they say/, internet connection was horrible under 1MB /reading of email few minutes/ no fridge in all hotel even not small minibar, breakfast - one small bun with one plate of ham and one plates of cucumber and 1,5dcl earned juice in small bag hanging on your doors.
Review 15:We did like location and size of the room.
Review 16:The breakfast; the wetish sandwich and the transparent Juice hanging on the doorknock was a huge disapontement. Clean sheets etc were kept in the hallway where everybody can go.... 4 norwegian tv channels.
Review 17:Polite and helpfull staff when I wanted to change hotell after first night. Really good shower.
Review 18:No tea making facilities in the room and no lift to the top floor which made carrying a heavy case up a tight staircase difficult. Breakfast was also not ideal - I personally found being given a ham and cheese sandwich for breakfast strange.
Review 19:Excellent size room with good facilities. Friendly staff and excellent location.
Review 20:room was barren and spartan.. a bit too minimalist. I had choice of 4 tv channels.. mostly in Norwegian.. a bit more choice would be good as weather was predictably wet and cold! Breakfast was a bottle of suggary orange drink (not orange juice!) and a sandwich left outside your door in a bag during the night! no tea or coffee included! corridor floors were really filthy and were not cleaned during my 24 hour stay!
Review 21:good location for harbour and museums.. room was warm and bed very comfortable
Review 22:room in front of nigt club, very loud Breakfast is no breakfats, a f..k..g sandwich with a bad orange juice is no breakfast, this should be notified
Review 23:located almost in the city centre, for such a price very good
Review 24:Really disappointing breakfast. It's a goodie bag left outside your door in the morning. Cold, toast-like ham and cheese sandwich with a bottle of sugar water with Apple flavour... Felt a bit misled, would pay a bit more for a bit of choice and healthier options.
Review 25:Great location, friendly receptionist. Shower pressure and temperature was surprisingly good. Good price for Norwegian standards, although not great for continental Europe.
Review 26:The room was dark. At night there were noise from a nearby club. However, depending on the room, this problem can be mitigated. There is no breakfast room. The package with a sandwich and a (fake) juice is left at your door in the morning. They could vary the sandwich and give us a real juice, at least.
Review 27:The location. For Norway, the price was good too.
Review 28:Could be little bit cleaner, and more generous with the towels
Review 29:Room are minimalistics, but great location, good WiFi & friendly staff - pretty much all you need from a hotel in Bergen.
Review 30:The mattress had a visible stain and was just covered by a sheet. The towels had stains on them too. There were other clean towels left in the hallways so could get new ones, but couldn't replace mattress.
Review 31:Right in the city and a 5 minute walk from Bryggen. The room was really big for a single and wasn't too near the bar so quiet.
Review 32:the screaming and yelling from adjacent bars at 2 am was something we could have done without, but it didn't last too long
Review 33:central location was excellent
Review 34:Loud noise on the street in the first room. Second night a fire alarm and upstairs people were running on the floor in their roo,m all the time.
Review 35:Room was good
Review 36:Nothing for the price it is 4 star. I have read about the loud noise but I did not hear a thing
Review 37:If your travel involves Hurtigruton this is a great hotel as you con warm to the ferry.
Review 38:I had to wait almost 40 min until someone opened the door at 4h in the morning after going out drinking. My internet was really slow. My room was super little and right next to the cleaning staff changing room (301.
Review 39:I enjoyed the fact that was near the center and the fact that it was right next to the pub that i hanged out the rest of the days.
Review 40:I have booked the P hotel, the same picture at website, but they forwarded us to another building top of the bar and disco, with noisy and smoky area, After so many times contacting with staff, they have mentioned we don't have any extra room for changing! However there was not any breakfast ! just small snake with small Bottle of water colour!!! It was not any bed for third and fourth, just sofa in bad condition. We are not happy with this hotel and conditions, it seems it was such as swindler action at website.
Review 41:Front desk service. Breakfast in a bag, had to go to the front desk for coffee. Promised to knock on my door to wake up for flight. Did not happen. No phone in the room.
Review 42:Location.
Review 43:in bar area. noisy in weekend shower water flow to toilet side due to the tilt of the floor
Review 44:staff are friendly good location in room sandwich breakfast
Review 45:very poor wi-fi. somebody must tell them "Sandwich is not a breakfast and concentrated orange juice too.!!! It's disgusting. small rooms. very loud
Review 46:First room was ver noisy one night due to nightclub opposite our window. Also curtains were inadequate & let street lights in. Shower water went all over the floor due to no angle on the floor. Breakfast was not good - better to offer reduction in room rate or give a voucher to Got Brot cafe opposite.
Review 47:Location of hotel. They gave us an electric kettle to use in the room. We had to shift rooms due to noise & staff were considerate of our needs
Review 48:- like other reviews, there's a bar on the ground floor so it's very noisy at night. if you're easliy disturbed by this , the this hotel isn't for you.
Review 49:- central location. a few minutes walk to Feltsplassen & other areas. -the sandwhich/juice breakfast delivered to your room is fine though.
Review 50:Nothing especially bad. Could be a little cleaner but it's ok.
Review 51:Have been there several times, it's a good compromise between cost and central location, and it's easy to book a room with short notice. Nothing special but worth the money.
Review 52:Breakfast was disgusting! This needs to be rethinked, at least provide an option of the sandwich and real juice. And a bath mat would be nice
Review 53:Place had a lift and staff were great
Review 54:wi-fi connection was very poor. Breakfast is just a sandwich and terrible "orange juice". It was smelly in the corridors. Very laut.
Review 55:Good location
Review 56:The windows weren't very soundproof and there was a party going on on the streets and you could hear all the noise.
Review 57:For such a low price, you definitely get what you need. Also, the location of this hotel is great!
Review 58:P-Hotels should describe in more detail what kind of breakfast they offer in particular locations - in Bergen it was just a small sandwich and some water in 2dcl bottle, packed in a paper bag and left in front of the room door - that is awful, disgusting, inacceptable - to take my poor breakfast from the floor, and every morning the same sandwiches. Next, the wifi did not work for the whole week in our room - that was terrible, since I was not in Bergen for vacation but for a business trip and I needed the Internet connection very much.
Review 59:I liked some members of the stuff who always tried to be at our disposal and to make our stay more comfortable. Naturally, not all of them were like this.
Review 60:I stayed there in two occasiones, booked through the same page and with teh same price. One was very nice. The other I got a room in front of a pub and just above another. Incredibly noisy, I could hear shouts and conversations, and the bed, and the whole rooom, vibrated with the the music in the pub below. No sleep possible until 2:30, when the pubs closed
Review 61:Centric and nice staff
Review 62:Breakfast was included which was a sandwich and orange juice (tasted like cordial) which was left at the door early morning.
Review 63:Staff very nice. The location was good near the main town centre and restaurants and just a stroll to the tourist information office and the harbour. Would stay here again.
Review 64:Our large window opened onto a shared balcony so we could not have it unlocked during the night. Breakfast was delivered to the door: a sandwich and a pseudo-juice drink. We gave our sandwiches to beggars. The bathroom was so-so.
Review 65:Good location. Quiet.
Review 66:The receptionist was alone and I queued for 10 mins to finish his call and serve the customer in from of me, This was a VERY long call while people waiting to check in at late night. The bathroom was clean but when I took a shower the water didn't go in the whole but stayed on the floor, ended up with a pool in the entire bathroom. It was clogged or something. They leave you breakfast in a box at your door, it's an orange drink and cheese/ham basic sandwich, I didn't eat it because I don't eat meat in the morning, I wish they had options for breakfast.
Review 67:The location is around 10 min walk from train station and 3 min walk from Airport express bus. The place is very nice, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. It's few minutes from the big attractions of Bergen. The room is comfortable, spacious, clean bathroom and quiet. Definitely recommend it for other travelers
Review 68:Breakfast was terrible, a stale sandwich and cordial flavoured orange juice. Would be better to just not advertise that you give breakfast if this is what your going to give to customers.
Review 69:Breakfast is minimalistic Rooms to the back are terrible: There are several very noise bars across the road (until 3 o'clock in the morning!)
Review 70:Good central location
Review 71:For what you got it was expensive and the breakfast was basically inedible. Cordial and a cold ham sandwich isn't a breakfast. It was above a pub and so you had to walk past the toilets to get to the lift. It was smelly in the corridors.
Review 72:The only good things about this motel was the cleanliness and location. It was quiet and not too far from the harbour and main tourist attraction.
Review 73:well, turns out there is a pub on the ground floor of the hotel. The music starts at 10pm and goes on until 3pm. I found it impossible to sleep before the music stopped. To be fair, this is mentioned in the fine print but I never saw it. Location is good, but given the fact that Bergen is a pretty small place I would definitely go for some other hotel. The bed and the wifi reception were also pretty miserable
Review 74:Free Wifi wasn't working as it should. All day long Internett fall out. My room was right above The pub and a restaurant and I couldn't sleep well. Worst was friday night. It was terribel and it will be The main reason for me too not stay at this Hotel again.
Review 75:Straff, bed, room & breakfast.
Review 76:The photos miss sold the place and the room was really small. The bed was uncomfortable and hard to sleep on as well the walls were quite dirty.
Review 77:The location was good, and the staff were helpful with questions.
Review 78:Hotel staff is non existent. The shower runs water all over the bathroom. The 'breakfast' is inedible. There is no coffee either. There is a gambling hall and bar in the entrance.
Review 79:The location is great and the sparce room was clean.
Review 80:Breakfast is a little light but yet is was delivered to our room in a bag and coffee could be purchased for 10 k in the lobby.
Review 81:Helpful staff, good price and excellent location. I would stay here again.
Review 82:The breakfast was a sandwich and a horrible orange juice hanging on the door in a bag in the morning. This shouldn't be considered breakfast and booking should warn about it. The pub downstairs was also closed so we had to go somewhere else to have a coffee. There is a night club on the basement of the hotel with extremely loud music, to the point that the floors and walls of the reception were vibrating (I'm not exaggerating). Luckily our room was on the opposite building so we didn't have that noise, but I can't imagine having rest with this noise. I found it expensive for what we had comparing to other hotels in Norway.
Review 83:The location was good, in the center of Bergen.
Review 84:Room was a little bit aged. The machine of the keys didn't work so we needed to ask the guy on the reception to open de door of the room every time. It seems they have two buildings, one older than the other. Breakfast consist on a bag they put on your door with two sandwiches and two orange juices, you need to get (and pay!) the coffe on the reception.
Review 85:The room was clean but not really good they dont have really any facilities they don't have even toothpaste or toothbrush or any phone inside room Dont have any wake up alarm system ( for me was really important cuz I should woke up at 6am) The bed wasn't really comfortable And in overall this hotel doesn't really worth the money I pay and to be 3 stars hotel really!
Review 86:Looks like a student hostel. Corridor assinged to me was smelly. I told them do but it was still stinking for days. Old looking plastic cup in bathroom. No english news channels. So, you are cut of from the world. Staff at tge counter could not print my BA bosrding pass and could not even guide me where I coukd get it printed.IT staff was not availble for one whole week. Very poor service. Good for sleeping only. I now doubt if they even change bed-sheet if one stays longer. They never changed during my four nights stay.Breafast sandwitch does not look healthy and the juice awaful. It is pathetic! The focus is charge money from cudtomer no matter what the service and facility are. Staff behave with no interest in customer service.
Review 87:It seems the staffs are frequently taking shifts yet lack of proper educational training or equipment/ facilities for them to address the basic requests from the customer.
Review 88:very poor quality, dirty, security on the door was poor, I returned to my room to find my door wide open, no electricty in the room. poor reception staff.
Review 89:nothing
Review 90:Overall Very poor. The doggie bag we received for breakfast was a disgrace and I wouldn't feed to my dog!! The outside was too noisy. The lift was dodgy. The girl at front reception very abrupt. The worse hotel I stayed at in years.
Review 91:Central location.
Review 92:upon arrival around 11pm, we have been told that the hotel is booked out and placed into a different building, into a very basic "apartment" with no atmosphere what so ever
Review 93:location
Review 94:Room facilities were lacking - no hair dryer, wifi limited to 1 device, poor quality breakfast, and loud noise from nearby pubs. The loud noise was mentioned in the booking so I came prepared with ear plus but still found the noise disturbing.
Review 95:Location is excellent, we walked to the wharf in 10 minutes and both bus and train connections are nearby.
Review 96:Extremely loud noise from the hotel downstairs kept us awake until 3am on both Monday and Tuesday nights. We ended up leaving early to go to a different hotel just to get some sleep. Room 105 is directly above the hotel, do not stay there if you want to get any sleep. The breakfast was also poor. Scandic byparken is more expensive, but better by far, including a great breakfast buffet.
Review 97:Good amount of space and central location.
Review 98:When we arrived the room we reserved was not available, thus we had to share a single room. Problems could not be raised with anyone as no manager was on duty. When trying yo discuss the matter the next day we were just brushed off that we need to send an email with all detail. At the checkout we were charged for the full double room rate. The receptionist said he could not do anything, and once agin no manager around to raise the issue with. I am still waiting for an answer to my email! Very unpleasent
Review 99:Firstly I booked 2 nights then I modified for 3 nights what was confirmed by booking.com. When I arrived the receptionist said there was a mistake and I can stay only 2 nights. Finally he solved the issue he can extend my reservation for 3 nights but it took one hour. I thought my story had finished but not because I got a room which was already occupied by anorher guest. The staff resolved the issue again but it was not the best start of my stay.
Review 100:Location. You can find shops and lot of thing nearby.
Review 101:Very poor service. Did not hv room ready till 12.30 in the night. No breakfast. Just left stale bread sandwich and flavoured water outside the room in a bag for breakfast which was terrible. It is more like a youth hostel n not hotel. You should not recommend it to anyone.
Review 102:Where to start... Maybe it was just a bad timing for us but: -1st of all we couldn't use magnetic card to enter our room because something was broken. So every time we wanted to enter our room we had to poke someone in the reception to take a key and come with us. -2nd - the internet was so bad it would be faster to send a pigeons with the message. -3rd - "breakfast" is actually bag on your door handle with squash juice and a sandwich.
Review 103:Location, location, location
Review 104:Bed Bugs - Broken Bathroom Door Handle - Had to use a hanger to keep the window open - Loud, Smoky Bar below us - Elevator made scary noises like it was ready to die. Will never go back to this hotel again!
Review 105:Location was convenient
Review 106:The noise of the bar/ restaurant and surroundings were just very uncomfortable. Then the rooms could not open, and the poor staff (although friendly) had to run around open doors.
Review 107:Location
Review 108:Unfortunately there is a very loud disco next door that has heart pounding music until 3;00 every morning. It was unbearable and the very kind staff were unable to offer any solutions. Also, the bed was more of a cot with a stained extra mattress placed on top. Very unhygienic
Review 109:At first this hotel seemed to be in a great location, you will see in the next comment box why this hotel was unbearable. The staff were all very kind and helpful in every way they could be.
Review 110:A bit noisy at night because of a pub in the hotel, and we couldn't get the room key beause computers were out of order when we were there. We had to ask staffs to open the room everytime we came into the room.
Review 111:Easy to go to tourist spots, central station & bus terminal.
Review 112:The breakfast was a joke! Shouldn't even say it includes breakfast! On the first morning we got a tiny sandwich on white bread with a measly piece of ham and some shriveled up lettuce to share between two people and one little bottle of apple juice to share. Im a vegetarian so that went straight in the garbage. The second morning we at least got two sandwiches for two people but again went in the garbage.
Review 113:The location of this hotel is fairly good. Easy enough walk to the train station and to the fish market.
Review 114:You kind of get what you pay for. Very poor breakfast. Except of wifi, any additional service/facility is for extra cost.
Review 115:The hotel is relatively cheap.
Review 116:We felt the statement 'Breakfast is included' was really misleading. A paper bag with one ham-and-cheese sandwich and a small bottle of dilute orange-juice (no choice at all!) is no real breakfast. Coffee or tea is surely an absolute requirement! The single coffee machine in the lobby seemed permanently out-of-order.
Review 117:the breakfast was terrible (sandwiches hung on your door??) and they have a very loud bar in the basement whose sounds came into our room despite closing the windows.
Review 118:Good location. Right on the main drag.
Review 119:Small rooms and if you want a big breakfast you have to find it somewhere els.
Review 120:Good value for money, good standard for half the money compare to other hotels in Bergen. A happy surprise was the breakfastbag hanging on the door when we woke up at 11.30 am and rushed for the check out.
Review 121:The bar downstairs has karaoke late into the evening which is very loud (and terrible) so if you are on the front side of the building you can get a bit of noise at night but the location is nice and central so of course you will have people noises. The breakfast was basic, a cheese and ham sandwich in a bag delivered to the front door. No parking! Had some trouble getting on the wifi but it is free! You just have to get a code for every device every 24 hours.
Review 122:Great central location with views of a nice church. If you can, stay in the main building and try to get an "05" room like 105, 205, or 305 because they are nice and big and have a balcony! Starbucks just down the street.
Review 123:1. Loud music at night time from the restaurant next to hotel. Music was until 2.30 a.m. 2. No phone in room. 3. Breakfast is very poor.
Review 124:1.Staff in reception are very friendly and ready to help. 2. Location is good.
Review 125:The downstairs room where could eat the breakfast was dirty & boxes stacked around. Carpet in hallway on our floor dirty. Charged to have tea or coffee.
Review 126:Good location & decent size room.
Review 127:The family rooms are just on top of a pub in another builind than the main hotel. We had a room right above the smoking area of the pub - meaning lots of noise and smell of smoke. This room is ok for young people who like the night life but I will not recomment it for families with children.
Review 128:The hotel is situated close to the city, in walking distance from every thing even with small kids.
Review 129:Poor breakfast (just 2 sandwiches and 2 little bottles of some juice-like drink for 2 persons, no hot beverages, but it was quite tasty and well-packed so we took it with us for our trips); rather small room; the shower was just beyond the curtain from the toilet so the floor there got wet.
Review 130:Great location (city center, 7 minutes to railway station, 10 - to platforms of the bus station, 10 minutes to the tourist information office and the port, from which boats start for Sognefjord), perfect wi-fi (several codes for each device, good connection and speed), comfortable beds, we were lucky to get room with windows to the inside yard so we didn't hear any noise at night (probably, it's noisy in the rooms in which windows look to the street as there's a bar popular among local bikers)
Review 131:The receptionist was very rude in here behaviour. Felt like a spoilt brat that had been forced to work. Breakfast was a sandwich with orange squash in a bag outside the room. The rooms are very bright since there are no curtains or blinds.
Review 132:the resepsion workers couldnt helpfull they seems dont like tourists and the hotel area is so noissy , ıts to hard to sleep and they give a just a piece of sandwich for breakfest , no coffee or tea ıts waste of money and time
Review 133:just cheak out from this hotel
Review 134:Quite noisy, think there's a club next door as well although we didn't hear that. No hairdryer for the missus. "Curtains" let in a lot of light.
Review 135:Good location, near airport bus station.
Review 136:It was a really small place. Not a place to be with the kid. The bathrooms were atrociously small. The complementary breakfast was a sandwich left outside your room.
Review 137:Free wi-fi. The only staff who was taking care of all the rooms was a fantastic guy.
