Reviews for Homeleigh Hotel

Review 1:Owner is very friendly and will do everything to ensure you have everything you need. He also remembered me from when I stayed here for the same event 12 months ago, which was a nice touch. Brilliant value for money, this will be first choice the next time I'm back!

Review 2:Pillows just a bit soft for my liking and only 1 coffee & tea bag per night which is a bit stingy but I'm nit picking a bit

Review 3:Very nice staff, great size rooms and brilliant location right beside a 24 hour asda. Even though it's on the main road there is virtually no traffic noise even during rush hour. Bed very comfy..All round great value stay. Will definitely use again.

Review 4:The staff was unbelievable unfriendly and even brazen! If you expect normal English kindness I definitely would suggest this hotel.

Review 5:The room was okay for it´s money.

Review 6:Homeleigh Hotel was a haven for me in a time of need. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was super comfy and the value for money is great.

Review 7:Being reminded of time we had to leave

Review 8:A little eager to get us out. Insisted we had taken the room keys when I had been told to leave them on the bed which I did apart from that quite pleased

Review 9:i didnt like the banging headache in the morning lol.hangover

Review 10:Was up here for a nights stay on a reunion found the owner very welcoming and friendly ,and helpful, the room was immaculate clean and tidy and smelt nice . the room was what you would expect comfy bed with tea and coffee facilities with a televison.

Review 11:Just missing 'something' given the strong competition from the large corporates: but then, perhaps that's its charm and its niche? Of note, sachet shower gel, impossibly wrapped soap, and individual-sheet toilet paper dispensers lower the perception of quality that this hotel should so easily and can achieve.

Review 12:The location is good for short trips to Shipley and access to Bradford, etc with the town, trains, and busses all near by. There's a lack of fuss in a very clean if somewhat dated decor, free Wi-Fi, tea making, and general comfort with a bar and lounge as needed. It's a budget hotel that meets the basic needs of the business or occasional travellers and it comfortably meets its frugal price expectations. A great urban base from which to explore the Dales by vehicle, too!

Review 13:No other guests so no staff in morn- when left at 8 told to leave keys in room No breakfast offered

Review 14:bed comfy and room quiet but felt half closed-... Coffee tea biscuits welcome

Review 15:Decor and fittings are ill-matched and dated. Entrance areas both front and rear were not welcoming. No obvious reception area.

Review 16:Rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean as was the bed linen. Although on a main road, my single room was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. Useful parking at rear of building.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:Good location the place is spotless and the bedrooms are spacious with a comfatable bed , one of the best nights sleep I've had working away

Review 19:said NOT IN RANGE couldnt connect to wi fi

Review 20:QUIET.NEAR BUSES AND TRAIN STATION.5 MINS WALK FROM SALTAIRE.KNOWLEDGABLE OWNER,KEVIN.NICE AREA.WOODLAND WALK BEHIND PROPERTY.

Review 21:No bad experience at all!

Review 22:Brilliant friendly manager. Courteous and helpful, friendly! As a single woman staying alone I felt very safe. The room was immaculate, and incredibly spacious. Would definitely recommend as brilliant value for money!

Review 23:Very clean and quiet room - my windows were facing the main road which worried me as I am a light sleeper. But the double glazing and additional shutters blocked all the noise out. Very comfortable bed. The price was very cheap, so great value for money.

Review 24:I stayed in a single room. The room and en-suite were very clean and all the equipments were in a good state. The bedding was also good. The owner was always ready to help and available. I had good nights sleep and will come back to this hotel if I'm doing business in this area or Leeds.

Review 25:Breakfast is from 8:30-9:00 at the weekend and only laid on if you ask the night before, but this is not advertised anywhere. Proprietor talked to me as if I was a misbehaving teenager whenever I asked for anything or changed my mind. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Review 26:Nice hot shower and warm duvet

Review 27:Well localized. Near Saltaire - site of World Heritage. Near bus line allowing transfer do different places interesting for tourists. 15 minutes by foot from railway station in Shipley. A lot of pubs and restaurants in 10 minutes range of walking.

Review 28:I was surprised throughout my stay. Originally, I planned to stay in Haworth, because of the Bronté sisters, but prizes were so high, that I choose this hotel instead. I had a small cozy room under the roof seeing to a typical English neighborhood and some woods behind it. And I had some very nice chats with Kevin, the owner that was originally and funnily blessed with British humor. The surroundings were very nice and a bus stop was directly in front of the hotel, so getting to Haworth and back (switching in Keighly) was no problem at all. I can also recommend a visit to Salts Mill, especially the David Hockney exhibition.

Review 29:We found manager/not sure who he was ? Booked in payed. Then was asked what time we leaving because if to early leave keys in room and go out front door walk around to back where van was parked ( not a problem as most places have 2 doors ) when I asked what times breakfast answer was no breakfast because you booked with booking. Com so was then told its £10 extra (which I was willing to pay) then told not doing breakfast anyway !! Now confused as website for hotel says generous full English breakfast included!! this was one of reasons we booked

Review 30:Wifi was very good no problems Bed was good well depends if you like Hard beds like me Room was big we went for doubles Instead of singles

Review 31:walls were a bit thin, I could hear the person next door taking a shower.

Review 32:The price was was fair and the location was just up the road from the University where I needed to attend a course. There was a variety of restaurants within walking distance where one could get supper.

Review 33:I forgot to ask for a room with a bath.

Review 34:The owner, Kevin, was lovely, polite and chatty. The hotel was very nice on the whole and the location is perfect for travelling to local towns. The parking was ample and out of the way. I will be staying again without question.

Review 35:Main road location - fortunately we faced the rear. Tight parking. Smelt damp and musty. Stairs and corridors very narrow

Review 36:Covenient for our purpose. Decent size room.

Review 37:The hotel was situated just a short walk from Shipley town centre just perfect 5 Minute walk to shops, bars , Restraunts, the homeleigh is on bus routes to Bradford and Keighly Skipton any likely ,staff are friendly and very helpful the room was spotless it was just perfect for my short stay at the right price ,I would definitely stay here again .

Review 38:I was at the front so could hear the traffic in the morning a little, but to be fair I live in a village and just wasn't used to it. It wasn't loud.

Review 39:Location was great, parking at rear. I was staying in Shipley for a night out and would use it again. Nice big, clean room. Friendly owner.

Review 40:We were put at th the top on hotel. Had a question been asked about anyone with a disability .I would have hoped our room was not two steep flights up. The shower was either scolding or freezing. I would not return or recommend

Review 41:Fair value for money.

Review 42:No breakfast...but didn't mind to much as I wanted to look around the area so killed 2 birds with 1 stone Corridors dark in day time and at night...may need little light

Review 43:Bright and clean....and even though my room on the front near road..was still quiet. ...car park great as well. ...stones throw from Saltaire. very clean hotel

Review 44:- narrow stairs, hard to get luggage up and down (no lift). - I didn't really understand the instructions about the room location; lots of staircases I was not (on any account, apparently) to use. No signs indicating room numbers and locations was along corridors - when I arrived back in the evening, just after dark, I couldn't find light switches in the corridors, which made it very difficult to find (feel) my way to my room. - I had booked what I thought was a normal, single room, but the owner/manager described it as a "budget" room and therefore I was not entitled to tea and coffee making facilities in room. This had not been made clear when I booked (If there had been a "non-budget" room available when I booked, I would have opted for this, as I think tea and coffee making facilities are essential.) - very poor supply of toiletries.

Review 45:It was located near to my relatives' home, where I wanted to visit.

Review 46:on a main road next to an intersection. not overly noisy but could be so for some in the front rooms duvets too heavy for summer.

Review 47:very good wifi plenty of electric plugs well layed out room with places to put things spacious well layed out bathroom car parking (at the back) close to Shipley shops electric jug and beverages in the room.

Review 52:Nothing.

Review 53:The location was ideal for my purposes; the room was clean, comfortable and great to use; the breakfast was delicious; there was a minor problem with the wifi, but the owner made sure it was sorted in an expedient manner. Overall an excellent stay, with a special thank you to the owner who was hilariously funny, and very helpful. Thank you.

Review 54:Some might be disturbed by the main road at the front, ask for room at the back if you think this might be a problem for you
