Reviews for Château de Berne
Review 1:Too many added extras on top of an already high room rate. Breakfast not worth the €27pp. Restaurant not worthy of its Relais & Chateaux status. Cool and indifferent service.
Review 2:Lovely pool and spa.
Review 3:The noisy Thai visitors......
Review 4:Everything! Comfy beds Quiet (apart from Thai family) But mostly the staff, they couldn't be more helpful. They even tried 4 towns to finds cigars!!!
Review 5:It's a niggle but on paying my bill it came up first in sterling which I hesitated to accept but did so because I was shown the exchange rates which looked good; the rate I was shown didn't match what I was charged on the invoice ie worse rate - this left me with an annoying impression after an excellent stay
Review 6:Country setting with unspoilt views; friendly staff; high comfort and design of room; excellent quality of food; very beautiful pool
Review 7:The breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, given was over 20 minutes to the closest place to buy any food I believe it should have been included. Further to have breakfast it was 26euro a head, this didn't even include eggs/hot food which were extra...the breakfast was not anything special which for this price was very disappointing.
Review 8:Scenery, room, wine tasting, customer service
Review 9:Only small things - wifi not great even in your room. And I did find itslightly galling that a small bottle of rosé in the mini bar cost eur25when it had just been bottled 100 yards away! Only the gourmetrestaurant was open at night, which was lovely but would have been greatto have the slightly simpler brasserie as an option as well. As it waswe drove into lorgues on a couple of nights which has a fair selectionof restaurants to chose from.
Review 10:It's a beautiful location, and while you don't stay in thechateau itself, accommodation was very comfortable and peaceful. Poolwas lovely with wonderful views and a great place to chill. Good foodoptions during the day with multiple places to eat, while the servicethroughout was friendly and thoughtful.
Review 11:We loved everything. The location is beautiful, very calm and relaxing. Our room was spacious and easily took a child's bed. The estate is beautiful. Food and wine all delicious Swimming pool just right. All staff lovely and extremely helpful. We will definitely go back.
Review 12:First time ever I've been to a hotel and they charged for nespresso capsules in the room and @ 2 € each.... I've stayed in fancier places that don't do that.

Review 16:Dinner was a bit pricey and limited choice however we had the taster menu which was very nice
Review 17:The friendly staff, the setting, breakfast, spa, wine!
Review 18:Heaven on earth
Review 19:Very difficult to find by car. It's a new direction and unfortunately Google maps and navigation lids you to the middle of nowhere .
Review 20:Signage to the hotel isn't very clear
Review 21:The pool and gardens are stunning. Food is exquisite.
Review 22:Price for breakfast too high, for the rate they charge it should be included

Review 26:The internet didn't work.
Review 27:The nature and the hotel were beatiful.
Review 28:The location, it is a beautiful place, great views. Excelent service, food and accomodation.
Review 29:The food wasn't to my taste and expensive (as can be seen on the website menus) however everything else about the experience was wonderful, beautiful resort, very helpful staff, great rooms. At the last minute prices an absolute bargain in a luxury resort!
Review 30:Neither human nor computer navigator could cope with the changing one way system in the last town before the hotel - but don't give up - you will find them - and it will be worthwhile!
Review 31:Just a simply superb experience - location was stunning, food excellent. Welcome reception with a glass of their own sparkling wine very well done. Will definitely return!
Review 32:1. There are lots of mosquito inside the bedroom despite all the closed window2. No one help us to unload our luggage in the reception and no one help us for the luggage when we left. 3. We've booked a double room but they give us a junior suite instead and we had to pay more

Review 34:wifi signal only if with nose against door of room (15) bathroom in need if service, shower unit needed fixing, next day still the same, should have been noticed/reported by cleaner. No table available for lunch, next restaurant 15 min car drive away.
