Reviews for Logis Hostellerie du Parc
Review 1:Hot water did not work, even after asking and being told it would take 45 minutes, it still didn't work the next day. I understand this could be a fluke, happening only rarely, still the price should have been adjusted for that. building was lovely but decor of room was ugly and peeling.
Review 2:location was great. building was lovely from the outside and wonderfully well located, great views, nice garden, nice dining room although we didn't eat there, beds were OK.
Review 3:The room did have a bed (no headboard) a table, a lamp, one bedside table and a small t.v. but was badly painted, had cheap laminate flooring (no rugs) . It was very early spring and I imagine that, once in leaf, the garden would be quite nice but currently there are only weeds growing out of the stone entrance steps and, along with hotel, had a neglected air about it.
Review 4:The staff - of four- we're all very charming and helpful. The building was historically interesting and stylish. The dinner and breakfast were very good.
Review 5:Got charged twice for room. Once by booking.com and then by hotel. Didin't realise until a couple of days later. Our room was near the road, traffice died down during the night. Couldn't turn the central heating off.
Review 6:Food was excellent. Staff friendly and very efficient. Nice room but close to road.
Review 7:they gave us a diffrent room from the one in the photo. It was really awful and not confortable.
Review 8:breakfast
Review 9:a lick of paint to the bathroom, but nothing reaaly
Review 10:All staff were personable. Position good. no fault, can readliy recommend.
Review 11:The owner/proprietor totally ignored us on arrival even though he was sitting in his office and an automatic bell rang to let him know we were there. When he did acknowledge our presence it was with a grunt. The hotel has a certain faded charm, but it is on a main road and the bedrooms are very basic and sparsely furnished. Having said that, they were quite comfortable. The swimming pool is totally neglected and out of use. The reception area is full of certificates and awards proclaiming the owner's skills as a chef but it's worth noting that many of them are from many years ago. I'm afraid the food simply did not live up to the boasts of the owner who presents himself as some sort of culinary legend. All rather disappointing but I guess I should have known when I saw the price which was very reasonable.
Review 12:The building is old and the hall, stairway and restaurant is full of charm and character. The waiter who served dinner spoke excellent English and was very helpful and charming.
Review 13:The bathroom was a bit mouldy
Review 14:The hotel has a lovely feel to it although perhaps a little tired. Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. Although we were unable to have dinner at the hotel, we had breakfast in the grand dining room - an amazing space. It would be a lovely place to stay in summer with the gardens and pool
Review 15:Not unfriendly, but not exactly welcoming. As a hotel guest, if you are not dining there, there's nowhere for you to have a drink other than the terrace which is set up for dining. If you take your key with you, your room won't or can't be serviced.
Review 16:Beautiful building, stunning dining room and majestic entrance hall, spacious and rambling gardens. Perfect setting, reminiscent of a by-gone era. This is truly rustic French, and we had a very pleasant 3 day stay. We had a dinner at the hotel one evening outside on the terrace and enjoyed some excellent gastronomic cooking. The restaurant is the main feature of the hotel, and you almost want some bad weather to experience dinner in that fabulous diniing room! Or come back in winter. The swimming pool is set in a charming oasis in the hotel's gardens and has brand new sun loungers. 10 mins walk to Cordes, so very convenient.
