Reviews for L'Enclos

Review 1:Got lost driving into narrow village streets and lost again driving out! The owners give good directions so it pays to call before arrival. Our Sat Nav happened to have other ideas when we arrived with one of the streets closed & ended up crossing fingers going the wrong way up a narrow one way street!

Review 2:Welcoming hosts Collette & Michel. Genuine & accommodating in making your stay comfortable. Recommended & made dinner reservations in nearby restaurant as we arrived late after long drive from Monaco. Meal superb, very fresh. Beautiful village & L'Enclos is a work of art. Felt very much at home with bath as requested, quiet, spacious room & breakfast on the terrace. Highly recommended.

Review 3:Super location quiet and yet very convenient. Colette & Michel are very nice and interesting hostess and make U feel as at your home. We highly recommend and sure will be enjoying their company again

Review 4:Very friendly and helpful owners (who also spoke good English) and made us feel very welcome and recommended places to visit and restaurants, which they also offered to book for us. The house and location is beautiful, quiet and secluded but in the centre of this lovely old town. Parking in the grounds of the house is easy (not just because we went by motorcycle), although finding your way there can be a bit tricky due to narrow streets and a few one-way streets, but the Sat nav worked for us.

Review 5:We spent two lovely nights here whilst visiting for a friend's wedding and couldn't have been happier. The staff are incredibly helpful and make you feel right at home, whilst the breakfast on the terrace is great.

Review 6:We had to leave!! Would stay longer next time.

Review 7:Colette and Michel are so friendly and helpful. A superb location to walk into the centre and so many lovely restaurants and bars. We loved everything about our stay!

Review 8:We and our dog enjoyed our stay very much. Friendly people, good breakfast (I love the jam!) and a great hospitality. I'm sure we will come back!

Review 9:Our stay in the old town of Lorgues was made ever more memorable thanks to our two days at L'Enclos. It's a beautiful bed and breakfast with spacious and artistic rooms with everything we needed. Our breakfast on the terrace was magnificent! The croissants, bread, homemade jams, coffee and juice were delicious (we took photos). Our hosts, Collette and Michel were so kind and helpful. I highly recommend a stay at L'Enclos and spend a couple of days in the old town of Lorgues in Provence. You won't be disappointed.

Review 10:No areas of concern in this charming traditional place to stay.

Review 11:The friendly welcoming owners made a big effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Fresh croissants on the terrace in the sun in a beautiful 18th century Manor House was a wonderful experience. A great way to experience rural Provence - wish we could have stayed another day or two!

Review 12:Bed a bit small as I am used to sleep in a king size bed, but i guess it is only a matter of personal taste ;)

Review 13:I really enjoyed the place, and especially the warm welcome of the owners Collette and Michel. I felt like home as they made everything they could to help.

Review 14:Sehr schönes Haus in schöner Umgebung und sehr angenehme Besitzer, die auch gut englisch sprechen und sehr hilfsbereit sind. Viele gute Tipps zu Ausflügen in die Umgebung.

Review 15:The house can be hard to find but the hosts are very good in guiding you. The bathroom facilities could need an upgrade but everything works and it add to the look and feel of a traditional Provence environment.

Review 16:Lovely old house in a completely relaxing environment supported with modern colors and a lifelong collection of contemporary art. Lovely hosts who are willing to share there dream with others and there homemade jams for breakfast. The house is located in a small but very active village. We had a truly wonderful stay and could easily have used more time in that area.

Review 17:We liked the sense of being in a home rather than a hotel. The owners live on-site, speak excellent English and freely share their knowledge of the town, region and country. We not only had a wonderful stay, but made friends with them. We had a delightful time

Review 18:On arrival, our hosts, Colette and Michel, extended a warm welcome to their beautiful home -- a manor house with spacious, comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds with exotic plantings. The furnishings and decor are eclectic and charming. Art is everywhere. Lorgues is a lovely little town. We were there for the market held every Tuesday and which features an amazing variety of goods. Colette and Michel were super hosts who take pride in their property and work to make guests feel at home. We were there for only one night but it is a place where an extended stay would have been delightful.

Review 19:We forgot to call Collette for directions when we arrived in Lorgues, and so we got a bit lost... if you are staying here, make sure you call en route, and don't make the same mistake as us!

Review 20:A super friendly welcome, beautiful surroundings, a peaceful atmosphere, delicious continental breakfast and great advice about the surrounding areas.

Review 21:L'Enclos is a beautiful house with very friendly and welcoming owners. We had a great three night stay. Tuesday market in Lorgues is not to be missed

Review 22:That I had to leave...

Review 23:The hosts, Collette and Michel, are amazingly friendly and accommodating. The "manor" or "mansion," whatever you would like to call it, is very romantic and charming. It felt like being at home while also being pampered. Lorgues is also an amazingly nice town that I'd never heard of. It is close to all of the great spots in the South of France and Provence, like the Cote d'Azur and the Gorges du Verdon, Tourtout, Moustiers, Aiguines, St. Tropez, Aix-en-Provence, etc... My girlfriend was shocked that I'd found such a beautiful place for us to stay for three nights.

Review 24:Extremely welcoming owners who made every effort to make us feel welcome. On our return from dinner in Lorgues, they invited us to share a drink while they were finishing their dinner. L'Ecnlos is a rambling town house with large gardens but only a minute's walk from the pretty centre of Lorgues. Highly recommended.

Review 25:Everything! Colette and Michel were so nice and attentive to us. The room was clean, well decorated and comfortable. Bath tub served hot water which we really loved. Breakfast was great. Colette also recommended us to the market which was amazing. We bought some nice food and had a nice picnic nearby! We would definitely go back next time!

Review 26:Hard to access by car because of narrow streets and one way system

Review 27:Interesting house in a beautiful town

Review 28:Our hosts were terribly gracious & considerate & the location to the Village was fabulous!

Review 29:Wifi service was unpredictable

Review 30:Our hosts were wonderful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Review 31:Finding it!

Review 32:The friendly welcoming of the hosts. The eclectic style of the property.

Review 33:The air conditioning was very good . The manager was pleasant . It was close to the motorway .

Review 34:Collette & Michel are such wonderful hosts and their home is a beautiful work of Art! Enjoyed my stay very much and hope to return soon!

Review 35:An oasis of a house in beautiful Provence. Wonderful host / hostess. Genuine and authentic.

Review 36:None whatsoever

Review 37:A lovely place, with the most welcomong of hosts, a real relaxing stay right in the heart of the town but SO calm and relaxing.

Review 38:Great tips for surrounding area!

Review 39:Owners were very friendly and helpful, whatever we asked for, they organised for us

Review 40:Nothing !

Review 41:We liked the place very much, nice house and garden and very firendly host family who made our 4 days in Lorgues unforgetable !

Review 42:It is a beautiful house in a lovely little village and the site was so beautiful. The host and hostess were helpful and charming

Review 43:My husband and I stayed for only one night, but we will certainly come back to this charming place with the most friendly and welcoming hosts.

Review 44:My husband and I had a wonderful time at L'Enclos. The owners Michelle and Colette were wonderful. We went to France to attend a wedding and we were unable to find a taxi and Michelle even came to pick us up at the wedding venue so we could drop our luggage at the hotel. They also recommended us some nice places where we could eat. Breakfast was amazing with fresh French croissants and homemade jam. Our room was so spacious. If you travel as a couple or family definitely try to get the romantic suite. It is incredibly nice. Susanna & Ben

Review 45:L'Enclos was beautiful, and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Collette and Michel were really welcoming and were full of helpful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We had a lovely time, and would love to return! Rose and Ranil

Review 46:The ambiance of the whole establishment...a large bedroom in a lovely, historic building that was uniquely and creatively decorated. Car parking was plentiful. Collette and Michel were very welcoming and very generous with their assistance.

Review 47:Could be better signs to the hotel

Review 48:The place where the hotel was situated, the extremely nice owners and the old building and Central. Jan and Leyla from Norway

Review 49:We loved our get-away in Provence and staying at L'Enclos was a big part of that: lovely historical building, easy parking, generous breakfasts, dinner reservations and advice on where to buy the best wine! Many thanks, Chris, Geneva

Review 50:Not a complaint more an observation.Their breakfast was very French with delicious fresh juice, bread and croissants and very tasty jams and marmalade but that was it, no fruit, ham, cheese and the only time in 3 weeks traveling and 9 different lodgings no eggs. Very good tea and coffee.

Review 51:L'Enclos is a lovely early 19th century town house with a double stone staircase to the living level. It has generous size rooms, high ceilings and elegant sweeping staircase up 2 floors. The rooms are a combination of antique furniture, interesting art and very clever modern lighting, it works well. Michel is an architect, he and Collett have a very good eye. Our bedroom was large and well lit, the bed was standard size but there was a 2nd room with a single bed which we found useful. Generous bathroom with a curtain shower off, the shower was hand held. The views were good from front and back, all was extremely quiet. Michel & Collect are charming hosts, both speaking excellent English, they know all the best restaurants and will book for you. When we could not get a taxi to Bruno's restaurant Collect very kindly drive us there in her 1992 Golf Cabriolet. It was a very relaxed and comfortable visit, sitting on the terrace sharing an aperitif with our hosts was memorable. Very highly recommended

Review 52:Mr Michel & Mrs Colette are fantastic hosts because they give top quality and hospitality. The house is beautiful and it's got a very nice garden where they serve a good breakfast. Our room was very big and the bathroom was beautiful. We will definitely return.

Review 53:Difficult to find, suggest sending a detailed map of location upon booking as sat nav is misleading

Review 54:We really liked the quirky hotel design and very helpful and friendly welcome from Collette and Michel. L'Eclos is in a central location and convenient for many restuarants in Lourges.

Review 55:as there were only stairs and no lift it is only suitable for young fit people because dragging luggage up and down is no fun. Also it was unsatisfactory as there was not a full breakfast but only a limited continental one which was not clear when booking

Review 56:friendly atmosphere and quirkeness

Review 57:I have only one small thing to mention; the breakfast. This was limited to bread and jam and for me it wasn't a problem but for my husband he would have liked some meat or cheese. Fresh orange and coffee/tea was supplied and this was fine. However on the last morning we asked for an egg and Michel was very happy to make us one so maybe, just ask!!

Review 58:Collette and Michel were lovely hosts, making us feel very welcome.Their guest house was beautiful and full of character. There was a very relaxed atmosphere whereby in the evening we were able to sit on the terrace drinking wine and eating; glasses and cutlery were not a problem as Collette and Michel were happy to give us what we needed.

Review 59:We had an amazing time with Collette and Michel who are the most welcoming hosts we have stayed with. Their house is beautiful and the views from the terrace are all you could wish for. They were incredibly helpful and made our stay entirely memorable. We would definitely think about staying with them again and would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to visit this area.

Review 60:Colette and Michel were very friendly and welcoming, taking the time toget to know their guests. The house has real charm and a very French'faded elegance' feel to it.

Review 61:very difficult to drive to very narrow road to hotel, no elevator,a bit rundown decor

Review 62:friendliness of owners, nice breakfast, good location

Review 63:The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly & helpful. The location is ideal for visiting the area.

Review 64:Very Friendly and helpful owners.

Review 65:The breakfasts were a bit limited

Review 66:The couple who managed the place were lovely and welcoming they could not do enough! The decor was also rather fun.
