Review 1：The check-in staff offered us the choice of two rooms, we chose the more modern terrace room, very spacious, clean and good bath room size. The room was very quiet There was ample secure space to store our bicycles. The breakfast was one of the best of our trip with fresh fruit and pastries in addition to the standard fare of cereals, cold cuts & cheese The location was easy to find and very close to restaurants in town.

Review 2：We booked a 2 night stay, when we arrived there was a fairground pitched in the car park opposite but it was not a major problem, most of the staff struggled with English,on the second night we returned to our room after a day out to find a box of earplugs on the bed this surprised us a bit as we were unsure why they were there but come that night we sure found out. We assume It Was the village party, held outdoors behind the hotel in the square noise went on till around 2:30 am if we had been told we would not have stayed 2nd night

Review 7：Hate to be negative but the hotel has spent a huge amount of money refurbishing but havig installed a glass shower guard aside of the bath they have not installed a fitting so you can hang the showerhead and have a shower.

Review 8：turned out to be a great place to stay in Quillan,very large room with large and well tiled bathroom.The room was a good size and the noise level is Zero even though it is on the main road.

Review 10：Room was modern,clean,quiet with large bathroom and automatic shutters.Family operated with very good restaurant and great staff. Menu includes Vietnamese dishes that were great. Try the Pho.Lots of free parking beside hotel. 5 minute walk to other shops and restaurants in area. This is the favorite hotel of our visit to the region.

Review 11：The entrance lobby area, lounge area and the check in desk area was very outdated and could do with some improvements since this is the first impression of the hotel, and it is not particularly enticing. Also while we were there there was a terrible smell (either rubbish or blocked sewer?) in the lobby area which appeared to emanate from the basement. This did put us off wanting to eat in the restaurant.

Review 12：The room was located in the new extension and was very clean, sufficiently furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was exceptionally good. The breakfast buffet was good and the lady who managed the breakfast serving, etc. was a very lovely person.

Review 16：The temperature in the room was a bit difficult to adjust. The bedding was the configuration we had requested, but we're not very comfortable. A bit on the hard side with poor pillows. Do-able but less than ideal for a single night. Cost for underground garage was a bit excessive for the convenience.

Dead flowers in the reception area and weeds growing out of the main entrance stairway betrayed a general lack of attention to the overall ambience. Aspacious room but tv too small ...could not read any writing on italthough the picture was clear. Creaky floor..laminate needs refixing orsticking. Dark dining room was not inviting so we even ventured out inthe rain to eat.

Review 78：La Chaumiere is one of those old fashioned gems of a country sideish French old hotel hidden in a rather boring small town that on the other hand happens to be in the very center between the cathar castles – Montesegur on one side, queribus on the other, – and the new sacred places of hippidom such as rennes-le-chateau (made famous by the idea stealing dan drown who got his take of the wholy grail from the british hobby historians Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh und Henry Lincoln) and burgarach (with the famous upside down mountain supposedly containing an ufo that should have saved a bunch of crazies last december. It did not show up, but some of the hippies are still there). The hotel offers old fashioned charm and a classic dining room, nice round balcony overlooking the lazy scenery of the small town as well, serving excellent food and truly glamorous vines. The greenish Chardonnay is exceptional, yet the cassolet, a very stout local dish based on beans in a thick sauce, is, well, a bit hard to take.
