Reviews for Hôtel Le Mauzac

Review 1:A bit tricky to find although located alonf the D118!

Review 2:Very clean hotel, good breakfast, very attentive owners ans spacious car park. You can easily walk to the centre of Limoux from the hotel. Very good value for money.

Review 3:Loved it all.

Review 4:cleanliness/value for money. The cleanest toilet we've ever seen in France,Staff very friendly and helpful. Will certainly return soon.

Review 5:Rooms starting to look a little dated. Next to a busy road. No tea making facilities.

Review 6:Has it's own car park and only a few minutes walk into town. Free wifi

Review 7:Poor location. The hotel had a "run down" feeling. It needs money spending on the rooms, which were bare & very very basic- the shower wasn't clean,

Review 8:Our request for breakfast at 7am on Saturday was accommodated without hesitation despite the notice telling us that breakfast on Saturdays commenced at 8am. The hotel, though modest, was excellent value for money. The only member of staff we saw was charming and couldn't do enough for us.

Review 9:hotel outdated and some fungus on the walls. not the hotel you bring your wife for a romantic weekend but if you can live with the basics, a good hotel for the budget oriented traveller

Review 10:friendly staff. price/quality is good

Review 11:very friendly staff,

Review 12:The small shelves space in the bathroom.

Review 13:The owner quickly sorted little problems. Free private parking.

Review 14:slightly out of town

Review 15:price, parking, friendliness

Review 16:Very Friendly and helpful staff, lots of car parking space Good value for money.

Review 17:Very friendly staff, lovely clean rooms and comfortable beds. Unbeatable value for Limoux!

Review 18:No hot water on day 2 and lots of noise coming from within the hotel. Walls very thin.

Review 19:Location

Review 20:No lift.

Review 21:Location and free parking.

Review 22:The room was comfortable based on what you pay.

Review 23:convenience to town. Cheerful and obliging staff. They provided me with a savory breakfast without extra cost. I am diabetic and many hotels can't or won't provide some cheese and ham. We also asked to change our room to one with 2 beds, done with a smile and no extra charge. Lots of towels!

Review 24:There was a steep drive up to the entrance from the road, which was a little bit hard to see because there was another road right next to the sign, plus another similar drive a short distance down the road. We drove into the wrong place initially and had to turn around and come back. Even knowing where it was on our return from town it was still tricky to find the right drive. Extra signage would have been helpful. The whole parking area was a bit messy and needed some tidying and maintenance. There was a sign for the hotel laying at an angle against the wall that could have been fixed back up, and quite a lot of weeds and bits of old equipment laying around. However some people might find the mess charming and homely. I actually have no recollection of the exact furnishings in the room as they were not at all memorable, whereas I remember the decor and furnishings of all the other hotels I stayed at. The walls were a little thin and we could hear the other guests moving around, talking etc. The hotel was generally in need of updating and a bit of extra maintenance to smarten it up. Although the price was fairly reasonable it was more expensive than the contemporary hotel we had stayed at in Carcassonne the previous night, which I found quite surprising. Since it was not as good, I would have expected it to be cheaper. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which would have been a nice homely touch. It was quite a long walk to the centre of Limoux from this hotel, so we took the car.

Review 25:This hotel was set back above and off the road entering Limoux from the direction of Carcassonne. Free car parking was at the side/rear of the hotel. There was only one member of staff there -I assume this was the owner - who was very warm, friendly and polite, although we had to wait for a short while until she arrived at reception, since she was changing the bedding and hadn't heard the bell. The room was clean and comfortable. We slept ok. The best part of this room was the view from the windows which looked out on the wooded terrain behind and to the side of the hotel. I counted at least five blackbirds singing their hearts out in the trees, which was lovely. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on the food.

Review 26:The site. The hotel was next to a derelict factory and needed to be smartened up both inside and out. It had the feeling of being run down.

Review 27:The price. The bedroom was clean.

Review 28:Location not as described & further from town than 10min walkBathroom small & basic Room not cleaned 1 day & had to ask fortowels & toilet roll!

Review 29:Staff friendly and helpful Good buffet breakfast Quiet despite being onbusy road (had room at back of hotel away from road)

Review 30:First room was smoky and very hot, the second room offered had toilet in the bedroom with only a curtain between.

Review 31:Low cost

Review 32:Owner was very helpfull

Review 33:friendly and functional, ideal for a stopover.

Review 34:Decor very tired. One towel needed replacing
