Reviews for La Maison D'Isidore

Review 1:Madame Marie-Christine is a most gracious, charming person, very helpful and unassuming. Location in central St. Remy is great, the building and rooms are charming

Review 2:D'Isidore was perfectly located in the town center of St. Remy which is an excellent home base for Provence. Marie Christine is warm, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was charming, wonderful bed. The quiet courtyard nice for a relaxing break from touring.

Review 3:Wonderful hostess. Very helpful with each question we posed. In the middle of town, you would never hear any city noise, but so convenient. Would recommend this beautiful hotel.

Review 4:La Maison D'Isidore is a small 3 bedroom boutique hotel located in the heart of St Remy de Provence. It is more like staying in an upmarket B&B where the owner takes absolute pride in the accommodation offered. Highly recommended! We will be going back to further explore the delights of this wonderful little town and enjoy the hospitality of the hotel! If you have a car phone ahead, as vehicle access can be difficult in the town centre (particularly on weekends) and hotel parking is secure but 300-400m from the hotel.

Review 5:Location was fantastic and Christine was gracious and helpful. The rooms were well appointed and we could walk to everything in St Remy. The courtyard was magical!!! ....and it gave you a very secure feeling. Super location for day trips.

Review 6:Entrance and courtyard is enchanting. Christine made us feel so comfortable & was very helpful with local knowledge. Breakfast was amazing - best croissants & coffee in France! Spacious accomodation & wonderful deep bath.

Review 7:Liked everything.

Review 8:Christine, the owner, is off-the-charts great. Drove my partner to a swimming pool, allowed her to do laundry, shoe-horned us into a superb, "booked" restaurant, and simply could not have been nicer and more helpful. Best I've ever seen, and her small, ancient inn is terrific.

Review 9:Marie-Christine was an amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast. Clean, spacious room. In centre of town but down a quiet alley.

Review 10:Wifi in the area is spotty.

Review 11:Maria was extremely helpful. Excellent place and delicious breakfast. Located in the heart of this charming town. I would go back for sure.

Review 12:This hotel is in the absolute center of town. Walk to anywhere. Private courtyard, it was just like having your own villa in Provence! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in St. Remy! The owner was very attentive and sweet, she gets 5-stars as well!

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Christine, the owner, is an absolute delight, could not be more friendly and helpful. The position, right in the centre of the old pedestrian centre could not be bettered. There are only three rooms so you must book early.

Review 15:Nothing to dislike

Review 16:Freedom to come and go as we please. Being right in the centre. The fridge in apartment stocked with water foc. Intimate having only three rooms. Christine a fantastic host

Review 17:The service was excellent and the premises were a real oasis from the busy town. Morning breakfasts had all we needed and enjoyed the still warm croissants each day.

Review 18:Christine is a wonderful hostess. She was most helpful with dinner reservations and local advice. The breakfasts were the best quality of our trip. Great ambience.

Review 19:From our affable host, Christine, to the lovely decor, to the amazing breakfasts, this was our favorite stop on our vacation. Perfect location, hidden in an alley. Would return in a heartbeat!

Review 20:Nothing!

Review 21:Secluded little B&B with beautiful furnishings and delightful breakfast room! Christine is very welcoming and full of information of Saint Remy.

Review 22:Great courtyard to sit and have a drink. The owner, Christine, was very helpful with dinner suggestions. Breakfast was in a lovely little stone room. We would recommend to friends and we would love to go back.

Review 23:We were sad to miss the owner, but her brother was a delight. We would have enjoyed extra pillows, but that would not stop us from returning.

Review 24:Location, atmosphere, room size and amenities. We felt like we were living in a dream! So much character!

Review 25:Excellent place to stay. Wonderful hostess/owner. Very private and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. Shopping and restaurants close by. Would love to come back and stay here again.

Review 26:Hard to think of anything

Review 27:A unique ancient building tastefully renovated. Lots of outside seating in the delightful courtyard. Spacious room and bathroom very relaxing. Breakfasts a real highlight. The owner treated us like house guests and was charming and helpful. Already looking forward to our next visit

Review 28:Christine, the owner is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is fantastic and the breakfast room is so warm and intimate. Christine stocks the fridge with complimentary water bottles and wine for her guests. She goes out of her way for you. La Maison is in the center of town so just steps away from restaurants and shopping. Very comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Highly recommend.

Review 29:Marie Christine has created a sumptuous haven within the village of St Remy. The Maison D'Isidore will exceed your expectations. Charming and elegant.

Review 30:The Maison is not accessible by car. You need to drop off your luggage closeby and walk to the the alley where the small B&B is located.which is located. Many of the locals don't even know where this place is. You really need to ask Christine, the innkeeper, what is the best way to get to her place ahead of time. There is a great remote parking for your car not too far away.

Review 31:He innkeeper is amazing. The breakfast is healthy and sumptuous. The surroundings are gorgeous. The courtyard and the rooms are beyond charming. This is the true Provence experience.

Review 32:Our only -slight - negative was some noise from a nearby restaurant

Review 33:A beautiful place - we really enjoyed our stay - wouldn't hesitate to recommend it & we will hopefully return

Review 34:The parking is far away. We didn't use the reserved lot but found closer public parking. The place is also a little difficult to find.

Review 35:The B&B is right in the center of Saint-Remy. The room was cozy and cute and had a lot of atmosphere! We arrived early after our long international flight and the hostess helped us into our room early. The interior garden is a gorgeous place for breakfast.

Review 36:There are not good parking options. It would be great if the hotel had a private spot or two for guests somewhere in walking distance.

Review 37:It is a beautiful building and the rooms are unique and lovely. It is in a great location in the town. The breakfast is also very good.

Review 38:Such a lovely experience! Beautiful Jardin. Fabulous host.

Review 39:This was a hidden gem. Just what I thought the south of France would be like. Wish we would of stayed longer.

Review 40:A lovely room full of character

Review 41:taste of the host made such an lovely courtyard!!!

Review 42:Location, comfort

Review 43:Stylish room, right in town, very "French" breakfast. The owner makes you feel at home in St Remy.

Review 44:We loved our stay. Christine made us feel very welcome. Location, comfort etc - perfect. Thank you. See you next time!

Review 45:The House is amazing, just in the middle of St Remy.

Review 46:Car park a fair walk, however good that it's free. Not easy to find.

Review 47:Location. Host. Service. Amenities.

Review 48:The house is fantastic and very charming. The hostess is wonderful.

Review 49:Everything! Comfortable room, good host, great location.

Review 50:We liked the quaintness and the location of the B&B. We especially liked Marie Christine, the owner, who could not have been nicer to us. She was a gracious hostess. Her B&B is convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as well known sights. It was very comfortable and very nice. I would highly recommend this place. Finally, the breakfast was a delight. It made our stay in St. Remy extra special.

Review 51:the parking is far from the hotel, but this is normal, because the hotel is inside the town, in an excellent place. This is not a fault

Review 52:it's an excellent place to stay, the breakfast is included and is very good.

Review 53:Our room was at the top of 2 long flights of stairs, and there's no lift! The shower enclosure was poor, it covered one and a quarter of 4 sides, a bit too breezy. Owners dog barks loudly every time you enter or leave your room. No Tissues, mini frig, safe or suitcase stand in room.

Review 54:The place is gorgeous and the owner charming.

Review 55:There is nothing I disliked about this place.

Review 56:This is a wonderful place to stay in St Remy. The location, room and customer service was top~notch. I will recommend this place to all my friends and will stay there again someday!

Review 57:Parking far. Need to walk up steps if you're not on the ground floor. Balcony.

Review 58:Historic building in town center. You can walk to everything. Spacious, comfortable room and modern, well-designed bathroom with 2 sinks and separate WC. Fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit.

Review 59:Superbly located in the heart of St. Remy, this is a little gem of a place with the kindest most hospitable and knowledgeable host one could ask for. Fine breakfast, fast wifi, and tons of restaurants and shopping only minutes away.

Review 60:Everything! Marie Christine was wonderful, she was available and helpful and remembered little things about her guests. The location was perfect, and if you like character this is the place. Much better than any hotel!

Review 61:No complaints -- a bit hard to find, but she has a parking lot a fewblocks away for the guests with cars.

Review 62:Everything. Hostess greeted us at the courtyard; she was lovely, warm, personable, helpful. Even helped us with our bags; wonderful, homeyfeel, wonderful rooms, beds, linens, and there was a perfect pet-replacement for those of you missing your dog. Gorgeous courtyard, beautiful views of surrounding city upstairs. Excellent breakfast atyour preferred time. The perfect place to visit -- made you want tostay and stay.

Review 63:The location , Christine, the owner, and accommodation provided a most relaxing and delightful Provence experience. Would high recommend this !

Review 64:A beautifully restored home, in center city, close to everything one wants to see. Elegant furnishings, comfortable. Plenty of lighting. Wonderful breakfast, best croissants! Hostess friendly, helpful and charming!

Review 65:It was more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Maybe we didn't read the description properly.....we were surprised that there were only three guest rooms. There's a very small breakfast room/sitting area, so guests didn't have much privacy. Not great value for money.

Review 66:The owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The building was beautiful, lovely stone built courtyard. It was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated.

Review 67:No negatives at all. Oh, yes, one tiny one: a door onto the bathroom would be better than the curtain. But apart from that, absolutely perfect.

Review 68:This is an absolutely charming place to stay. I felt like I was living inside a beautiful painting. Everywhere I looked was stylish and not overdone. Marie-Christine is a very attentive host, puts on a beautiful breakfast and runs a very intimate bed and breakfast type address that is perfectly situated in the middle of this very chic village. It really captures the true essence and style of Provence.

Review 69:Great location within the "old" city. In the middle of everything yet quiet at night. Steps to restaurants and shops, and a wonderful van Gogh walk!

Review 70:Internet not working and thought we were getting room with balcony but were told we had to have requested it Extremely difficult to find

Review 71:Relaxed and private

Review 72:Seemed quite expensive for chambe d'hote.

Review 73:Very central position in St Remy in small quiet side street, close to shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Old provencal building with attractive court yard. Quirky bedroom with stylish bathroom. Our room on the second floor had a small roof terrace. Good breakfast and bottled water and wine available at all times from fridge in breakfast room.

Review 74:You have to park the car in a public parking space nearby.

Review 75:It was a haven of calm in the centre of this very picturesque village. My hostess was warm and welcoming and could not do enough to make sure my stay was as pleasureable as possible.

Review 76:No extra closet or rack to hang clothes in upstairs bedroom, but it was not a big deal. Wifi was at times inconsistent but maybe it was just our unit because other guests did not have the same problem.

Review 77:Peaceful, quiet and relaxing! Great privacy with a quaint courtyard! Only a few rooms, so it made it feel even more private. The two story unit we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, clean and well decorated. Photos are accurate. Great breakfast and coffee with a room and refrigerator stocked with water bottles and wine for guests. Location was perfect....central, in town, easy to walk to restaurants and shops, unlike many other b&b's that are outside of town. There is a Free public Parking lot close by. Excellent service! Madame Christine was extremely hospitable and catered to our needs. Staying at this lovely b&b heightened our wonderful experience of Provence and exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend it!

Review 78:Not a thing!

Review 79:Christina, the owner, saw to our every need! The room was very large and comfortable and the setting was magnificent.,...behind a wall with beautiful flowers throughout patio. The breakfast was wonderful.....fresh fruit, juice, croissant, yogurt, tea, coffee, meat and cheeses.

Review 80:It was a little difficult finding the location due to no direct caraccess. Once located, not a problem.

Review 81:We truly enjoyed the personal, B&B ambiance of this facility. Theowner was very helpful and personable, the accomodations very unique andnicely decorated, the breakfast very tasty and the breakfast room veryquaint. Overall, one of the nicest places we have stayed in France.

Review 82:Quiet, comfortable, very attractive, the hostess/owner couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. It was one of the loveliest hotels we have ever stayed in.

Review 83:initially difficult to locate

Review 84:A very quaint charming place with a very hospitable host and close to everything right in the centre of the old town. We had a wonderful four day stay and we highly reccommend it.

Review 85:Located in middle of town (which is good), but the parking is somewhat inconvenient, no bathroom door in one of three of the rentable rooms (there was a curtain). Hard to find. Call ahead for directions.

Review 86:Delightful host, excellent breakfast, charming,

Review 87:Nothing - we'd go back in a heartbeat!

Review 88:Beautiful, charming B&B in the heart of St. Remy. The owner is simply wonderful. Fabulous breakfasts. Secure off-site parking included. Rooms have a very modern, pleasant decor. Stone courtyard and breakfast room are beautiful and decorated with flowers.

Review 89:Nothing, we loved it!

Review 90:This was one of the best places I've yet to stay! The owner was friendly and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom which had our own private rooftop terrace. Loved the decor and overall "homey" feel to the hotel. It felt intimate, as though we were staying at a friend's home. The breakfast every morning was delightful and she served literally the best croissants of my life. The location was central and having a parking space was extremely convenient.

Review 91:Personal touch from the very nice person who runs the place. Felt like we are having a French friend who hosts us for a weekend break in the lovely Provence.

Review 92:Under furnished room - very basic, read the featured review so verydissapointed. Uninspiring view - imagine it may improve in the summermonths when plants are out. Terrible noise from major road works rightoutside. Overpriced for the sparce facilities

Review 93:Freindly welcome, nice breakfast, good size bathroom. Comfortable bed.

Review 94:Beautiful room with a lovely breakfast! Christine was wonderful!!

Review 95:We liked everything. A lovely place to stay, very comfortable, delicious breakfast, fantastic location. Would happily return!
